How Do I Build A List Without An Autoresponder or Website?

Everyone says to put a squeeze page on a site with an autoresponder, gather emails and market to them. There has got to be another way!

hate to self promote but this would actually help you, its a form builder that is mobile friendly and lets you collect leads and even payments etc and you can export the leads and have them emailed to your email its the link in my signature.

by the way email list is only one type of list many business owners still build mailing lists and offer free print newsletter or other stuff in exchange for mailing list subscriptions.

How exactly do I give a free gift to a subscriber? The technical details are beyond me.

There sure is another way and it's simple.

Create a product or buy rights to sell one for someone else.

Price it low enough to get impulse buyers

Set up a distribution delivery system linked to a free PayPal Business account (I use micro-payments).

If you don't want to use a website, you can still use text ads or banners with a direct link to your delivery system.

Use sig lines in forums, free advertising, or even Bing Ads to get traffic that will buy.

Once you get the email that someone made a purchase, add them to your Gmail group and send a thank you.

Continue to send valuable info and bonus products until they expect you to email them, then include a product with a commission for you as long as it helps them too.

    Wash, Rinse and Repeat.

If you are serious about building an online business, you may want to check out LeadPages.

Worth every penny and can manage just about every part of the tech stuff for you. You just need to plug in your autoresponder (which they have videos to show you how to do it).

If you don't want to sell products there is another way that is completely free. Set up a blogspot blog and sign up with mailchimp. Mailchimp is free if you don't use an autoresponder and your list is under 2000 people. Simply put the sign up code in one of the widgets.

I don't think there is a way around using an autoresponder or some type of email opt in method if you want to build a list. Knowing more about your reasoning for not wanting to use an autoresponder would really help me. At this pint, I'm guessing you want to promote a product and send people directly to an affiliate page. The down side of doing that is how you will not be able to track your traffic or know if anyone is responding to the ads you place. When you build a list, you have the right to follow up with those people even after you have sent them to whatever link you want them to visit. As mentioned, there are some free email/autoresponder options and sites available (including Tumblr/Blogger). If money is an issue, you could use those until your list becomes profitable.
