Domain Suggestion For list building

EMAIL MARKETING

Hey Guys,

Am totally new to list building and online marketing.

Could you please suggest me a domain for list building. Which should be good enough to get the list. and am also gonna use this domain for email marketing

I think this will also give a idea on purchasing a new domain for list building and email marketing for lot of new B s here

People normally try to find a brandable .com domain-name that's closely related to their niche. The fact that you're going to build a list from your website shouldn't normally be at all relevant to your choice of domain-name.

I always recommend using your name. If your name isn't available, simply add 'marketing', or 'online' or some other such term to the end of your name. List building doesn't rely on using an EMD for SEO purposes, so there's no reason to pick a particular keyworded domain.

Using your name is the best brand - as well.

  You're a sly one, Alexa..
  
  But I'll take someone's agreement any way I can get it. As Alexa says - a 'brandable' name is best... and I argue that the easiest 'brandable' name is often going to simply be your name. Why spend any amount of time on trying to decide the name of the site, when it's simply not going to matter from an SEO point of view?

  I will be honest with you I just do not like the name. I know that is not what you want to hear. And I am just one person out of many.
  
  But it is a little too long and the word "tricks" does not send out positive connotations ( at least for me)
  
  There are two camps that look at the Domain name question.
  
  1. You have the SEO folks who want a KY rich domain like. EmailMarketing101.com
  
  2.And then you have the folks who want a branded Site like PhilMccrotch.com
  
  Both have their Merits.
  
  I used to be in the first camp years ago.
  
  Anymore though I relate more to the branding of a domain.
  
  Mainly, because Google and SEO are almost completely irrelevant to me and my Online business.
  
  It is up to you.
  
  In the end you need to ask this question .....do you want maybe to gain a little bit of advantage in the Search Engines in the beginning with a KY rich domain ( in the long run not very much advantage) or do you want to brand yourself and have a domain name that is etched in the memories of your readers and customers, potentially forever ??

List building doesn't rely on using an EMD for SEO purposes, so there's no reason to pick a particular keyworded domain.

If you are driving traffic the domain is irrelevant but you should still make it related to the product you are marketing if possible.

If you're using the domain for sending email(the from/reply to), I would recommend you let the domain age for a while. Older domains tend to work a bit better.

Hi Dushta, search "brand name generator" on Google. Some tools will give you nice domain. It will be generated base on your keyword.

If it's just for building your list and put a squeeze page up, then the doman name should just be related to the niche you want to build your list in. I wouldn't think too mch about it.

If it's for building a site then you better think twice about the domain name, and a brandable domain would be best. (1-2 words max so it's easy to remember).
