Single Optin - WarriorPlus and Mailchimp

Hey guys - thanks a bunch in advance for any help you can offer

I'm trying to set up a product via WarriorPlus. It integrates nicely with Mailchimp with just a few clicks, but I need to make sure everything is configured to be single optin only - not double optin.

Having contacted both parties (Mailchimp and Warriorplus) each is basically saying that the ability to configure this lies with the other party.

Not useful...

So, anyone had any success integrating Warriorplus with Mailchimp using single optin? I can't find an option to configure this on either end. If you know a good way to go about making this work, help is much appreciated!

Whether or not a list is single or double is ALWAYS controlled by your autoresponder company. I would never recommend using Mailchimp - particularly in affiliate marketing, but if they told you that someone else controls the way someone opts in to a Mailchimp list - then they are out of their mind!

    Or maybe I am...

I know I can occasionally have a double optin process from Aweber on a single optin list - through the API, or when Aweber chooses, in rare cases, to do so.

But if I had a double optin list - no-one other than Aweber could force a subscriber on to that list without them clicking the confirmation email.

Only the Autoresponder Company has the power to determine the opt-in process, along with how you originally set up the list.

Were I you - I'd do some quick searches here in the Warrior Forum to read about the dangers of using Mailchimp.

      Thanks Ben!

I do use a plugin called OptinLinks that allows me to use single optin with Mailchimp - I can configure this through my wordpress settings, but not through Mailchimp, so this makes me think that perhaps WarriorPlus control that function on their end. But I'm not sure.

Perhaps like you said, better to go with Aweber just to be sure!

YES! Aweber is the way to go. Mailchimp does not allow any form of links or campaign that says "affiliate" or "commission".

Hi Nick, I went through a scenario like that with OptimizePress. The freebies can single opt-in but the buyers had to double opt-in which sounds not quite right. If I bought something from you, you would think a single opt-in would be enough. They must trust you because they bought your product.

With the freebie because it's done through OptimizePress and the autoresponder you can do single opt-in.

With Warrior Plus in the situation I was in you have to ask the autoresponder to omit a confirmation step for API submissions for the products people will buy.

Your scenario sounds similar as in the process. It's a hard one to get around if as Ben mentions in rare cases, be it Aweber to do so.

I would like the answer to that. With JVZoo that step is solved but not with Warrior Plus.

I would like to know how it turns out. Maybe ask Aweber and Getresponce and see if they can accommodate the situation your in.

You might get lucky if not I would like the answer of how one could get around it as in solve it.
