What to do next with email list

Hello everyone, a newbie question so be warned. I'm in real estate and just emailed a group of 87 investors, a property under contract. Out of those emails some bounced, one unsubsribed, 14.3 open rate, but no one replied directly to me.

Quick FYI, I'm using mailchimp as I'm bootstrapping this, and my email was not really optimized from what I gather, from reading this forum.

What should be my next course of action, should I resend the email, or reach out directly to the users who opened the email?

On a side note I have a list of approx. 250 emails, that was scrapped from a website, what should I do ro optimize the email, thanks roc

Ditch the list. Scraping = stealing. Those people haven't opted in to receive your emails, so you have no right to email them. You can even face some legal problems.

Anyway, what you should to is try to find ways to get people on your list voluntarily.

As Lucian has said - Scraping = stealing.

    Don't do that crap.

Get people who are interested in what YOU have to offer and build your own list - contact them and your rates will be much better.

You can segment the list, and resend just to those who didn't open it - change the title to something along the lines of "You Might Have Missed This..." - not that title, but you get the idea...

I agree with previous posters, don't use scraped emails. Review the CanSpam Act of 2003...

I also agree with everyone above. Scraping is just as bad as spamming. However if you are going to try to continue to contact these people, at least send them to a squeeze page and let them opt in to your list. This way they can at least expect to get emails from you and you might get a better open rate or CTR.
