spf Record and Throttling

0 replies
About 2 weeks ago we formulated an spf record which was posted to GoDaddy.

I used the microsoft spf wizard and came up with this string.

v=spf1 a mx ptr a:db9216.ourdomain.com mx:alt1.aspmx.l.google.com mx:alt2.aspmx.l.google.com mx:alt3.aspmx.l.google.com mx:alt4.aspmx.l.google.com mx:aspmx.l.google.com include:icpbounce.com -all

I typed in ourdomain to replace our actual one simply as an example.

Here are some additional details and then my questions.

1. We do not send email from our present server but use Google, using our domain
2. We use icontact to send out bulkmail to our mailing list.

Here are my questions.

Is my spf record valid? I seem to receive mixed responses from spf testers. If there are any errors what should I fix, add or delete?

On the topic of throttling does it matter if 2000 mails are being sent out in one minute from icontact. Again on this issue I am confused if this makes a difference.

I can make an attempt to answer any additional questions that might help.
