Are you a vanilla email marketer?
It also has a much better chance of working in the MMO, head up their own asses market.
Personally, I don't pay attention to many marketers. I see them as people pleasers. I don't trust people pleasers.
A lot of email marketers are struggling to build solid relationships with their subscribers.
To remedy this problem, they falsely believe that giving away free content and advice is the best way to win people over. Sure, that helps, but everyone else is already doing this. It's not enough in most cases.
You want attention?
You need to demand it. You need to stand out. You need to have personality. You need to turn people OFF, to turn others ON. You MUST be authentic, though. If you're not, it will show.
Again, do NOT do this just for the sake of it. Do NOT purposely be hard-hitting if it's not your nature.
I'll give you an example of how I turn people off, and turn others on.
The following is a welcome email new subscribers get from me when they sign up to my email list. These are NOT buyers. They are suspects that need to be screened.
Some will find this Intense, and in your face. THIS IS TIMID from my perspective. This is NOT a put-on. It's real. It's authentic.

This is the part where I'm supposed to thank you for signing up
to my email list.
I'm not going to do that.
You've prob'ly decided to run for the hills with your free mind
map anyway.
If that's your intention, will you please unsubscribe before you
bail out?
Ask yourself...
What would Jesus do?
If you decide to stay, you should remember these 6 things...
1) You will get a valuable email from me every day (If you don't
want daily emails, then stop signing up to people's email
lists)
2) You won't see me pining for your approval. I don't need
validation. I know how good I am. If you have an opinion, or want
to criticize... don't bother... I don't care.
Listen to this...
Note: I removed this link for this demonstration
3) If you email me with a question, I'll happily answer it. I'm
here to help, but if you persistently contact me looking for free
advice without any intention of investing in my paid products, I
WILL delete you from my list (freebie seeking moochers are the
cancer in this Industry)
4) You won't catch me promoting "product launch" products (I'm
not a bum bandit for the gooroos. I can't stand most of them)
5) If I promote something to you, I'll show you proof that I use
it myself. If I don't use it, or haven't bought it, or don't
believe it can help you, I won't promote it (I'm not an affiliate
whore)
6) You will get a lot of valuable advice and content from me.
However, I will NOT show you how to earn $17.564.76 in a months
time. If you fall for that crap, please unsubscribe now and stop
wasting my time.
So why should you stay on my list?
Dunno, prob'ly because I don't care whether you do or not.
If you understand why that's important, that's a better reason
than any.
Why not make an educated decision after a couple of emails.
Anyway...
Here's your download...

Now obviously that's going to get a few people unsubscribing. Great. That's the point. I honesly can't stand the puppy-dog approach to email marketing. Anyone who's offended by this email, is the exact person I NEVER want to do business with.
Vanilla, middle-of-the-road marketing doesn't work for me.
NOTE: I'm not telling you to do this. There are many ways to stand out. To get attention. To build solid relationships.
This is the approach I take, and it works for me. But ONLY because I'm sincere in what I say, and do.
