Niche Site Duel

This idea came from a friend of mine called Pat Flynn. The purpose of this challenge is to make the process of niche marketing really transparent, so others can learn from our victories and our mistakes.

Here's the challenge:

Start a brand new niche and take it to the $10 a day mark. FULLY documented, warts and all, on your blog. You must explain why you chose the niche and everything else you do to promote your site and make money.

To get the ball rolling, here are my first 3 days of the challenge:

I MUST emphasise, let's make this really easy for people to learn from. Label your posts well so they flow.

I think your idea is really good, but it will be difficult for you to do this.

Yes, this is almost a year old ... I am certain that beginners could have liked to see details of what successful people "thought" when they picked their niche, and how they then built sites.

Yet it would appear that nobody followed up on this duel... perhaps too busy or this idea seemed like more work than most wanted to do?

Actually maybe this was just an idea that did not "fly" (or "did not get off the ground"; or another stupid expression would be that it "did not have legs" so it did not "get off the starting line").

I mean, maybe the basics the Duel proposer hoped to share with others are already widely expressed?? Certainly there are several wso offerings that show all the steps to building simple niche sites! And they usually discuss What and even Why, with the How To.

Well, this is disappointing. I enjoyed Pat Flynn's and have even implemented many of the ideas he brought forth in his challenge...was looking to see if this one would generate some new ideas. Epic fail!

Guys, sadly, this is likely nothing more than an attempt to monetize a parked site fooling you/us into clicking through to it so that he gets paid.
