2011 Goal Setting Challenge
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

So the end of 2010, is coming.. And it's proven that if you set goals for the month ahead, you will have a better chance of meeting them. Especially since, you'll be motivated to show others in this thread that you have met your goals, it's a huge motivator.

So what is your goal income for 2011, and what are your plans for achieving that {no reason to be detailed, just some ideas}, so that next year, you can look back and tell yourself, did I meet the goals that I want?

Let's make this thread a motivational one for all warriors.

Caleb

Hi Caleb,

Can't believe anyone hasn't posted in here yet, so I thought I might give it a shot since this is something I've been really thinking about lately.

Income Goal For 2011:
I want to earn $10,000 per month in net profit being an affiliate and information marketer.

Reason Why: I believe with a big enough 'Why', goals get achieved a lot more then ones that don't. So the reason why I am wanting to earn this is because it will allow me to quit my day job. Plus the money will be coming in on autopilot so I really want to do some extended travel. Not 4 hour work week style, but would like to go overseas a few times next year for a month at a time. Can;t do that at the moment. Plus the money will help me afford a few cool 'toys' that i want.

Plan/s To Achieve My 2011 Goal: To start off I am going to use the Google Sniper method to build sites in different niches. Once I have money flowing in from them I will then use that to build bigger sites, or convert them into bigger sites targeting more keywords and using pay per click traffic & other paid traffic sources. From there instead of promoting affiliate offers solely, I will create my own product and setup a sales funnel including low ticket offers, mid ticket, and continuity/Fixed term continuity.

So that what I am planning on doing....fingers crossed.

Paul

My goal for 2011 is to create a full time income offering local lead generation and phone referral services to local businesses. I'm excited about that

nice idea, caleb: so what are your goals for 2011?

i plan to work on micro niche blogging and video sites, aided with social marketing, mostly facebook and twitter, monetizing primarily with cpa offers, to allow me to make a 5 figure monthly income (currently i am splitting online income with freelance work, see signature) and start selling my own information products, aiming at a 6 figure monthly income by the end of the year.

Failing forward fast

My goal is reaching a minimum of $100/day income strictly from IM. I feel confident that I can do it, but I know I'll need to focus more and upscale a lot. I have a plan.

"Keep moving forward."

That's my exact goal, trying my hardest to get to the $100 a day mark.

How am I going to do it? Was trying to do everything myself, think I'm going to reach out to some people I met in my other thread and try to form a team and we'll discuss some ideas and maybe create a bigger project... something along those lines

Afghanistan?! Oh Boy, I don't envy your parents, may God give them all the strength necessary to survive. Frankly, I think it's scary. It was Afghanistan, which brought the Soviet Union crashing down. All I can say is: May God help you and your friends!

Amen!!! Seriously, I suggest you post this in the Sponsorship thread. I'm sure many sponsors will be happy to help a young guy like you to find better ways to earn a living than fighting in Afghanistan. It's so sad that healthy young people need to go to the army because they can't find ways to make a living.

My plan for 2011 is:

1. To make my offline seo & consulting business profitable
2. My one (already built) niche site making a decent profit from some new product creations
3. Some added income streams through affiliate sites

I believe I can do it.

2011 will be a huge year for me.

- Build 100 niche based websites
- Launch 15 Products
- Run 2 offline marketing seminars
- Form a large successful offline marketing business w/ employees (already have a small one going, no employees yet)
- Have my first $10k day

Some pretty big goals, but I know I'll be able to do it. I've got a lot of experience and have been in the game for a while, so we'll see how things go....

Net in $2000 a month constantly through my sites and freelance copywrite/article marketing combined. Not much, but realistic and achievable imo.

Time of thinking is over.

My goals for 2011 is to reach the $100/day income level. I achieved that in Clickbank sales today but I would love to be able to do that every day consistently.

My plans:

- keep working on and building my PLR site
- keep working on my affiliate sites
- increase my Adsense income

Quite broad plans I know but the affiliate sites and Adsense sites relate to just a few sites that I want to expand a bit until they are making good money.

Good luck everyone, I hope you all reach your goals!

Great Goals in this thread.

I want to be able to do something really special and make at least one live event in the next year. That will be amazing for my age, but I think this is something that if I work hard enough at, and make enough money, I can buy my own way, and someone's to come with me.

Anyway thats me getting personal

Re: 2011 Goal Setting Challenge

Just something that I think I should share :

SMART Goals Setting

Specific (If you want to improve yourself, be specific about what area you want to improve in. Health, finance, knowledge, character etc.)
Measurable (If you want to achieve more profits from your online business in 2011, don't put it that way. Put down exactly how much you want to make. Don't say 'I want six figures', say e.g $100,000)
Action Plan (Put down a rough action plan on how you want to achieve that goal, or at least why you want to achieve that goal. It helps to know 'why', because the 'how' will soon manifest itself.)
Realistic (By being realistic, I'm not saying 'Don't dream big.' Dream big by all means. I believe in it. Unrealistic goals are such as 'I want to fly without aid.' 'I want to be God' or something that gets other people hurt in the process of your success.)
Time Targeted (Set a deadline for yourself.)

My goals for 2011, are the follow:

1. Being Happy
2. Being Healthy
3. Have at least $10,000 per month by end of the year.

Why do i put in happy and health first? Because i believe you need these two first before we can move to wealth.

How am i going to achieve it?
Im going to focus on affiliate marketing throughout the year, and will be making more info products from February onwards and do a launch of a few products in year 2011.

End result objective after being successful?
I want to be able to employ deaf people and give them job opportunity and at the same time groom them to be Real Internet Marketers and be the real examples for people to know that even Deaf People can be successful over the Internet.

All the best everyone! Lets move forward and achieve our goals in LIFE.
GO FOR IT!

Great thread. I have goals for all aspects of life but here are a few of my financial/ business goals.

I will build 50-100 AdSense sites that each earn between $1-$5 a day
I will build and rent 50 local lead gen sites that rent for $1K-$3K/ mo
I will learn all I can about mobile and create a company that serves my local community
I will start and complete the book I've been putting off writing
I will help my 13 year old son create a site and help him to monetize it (no financial goal in mind)

Commitment is the difference between people who "have potential" and people who have results.

My goals for 2011 are to be,

Earning at least $6200 (£4k) per month. I aim to acheive this by creating my first membership site, and I already have a well known marketer and warrior who maybe intrested in doing a JV with me on this.

I will be taking the plunge and start to outsource traffic generation and other day to day tasks.

This will leave me free to concentrate on creating my own products, as well as creating affiliate sales whilst creating my products.

Later in the year I aim to create another two membership sites to add to the first one. By this time most of this will be done by other people I employ.

I will also be moving into offline work with local bussiness owners

I also have some personal goals that I have wrote down as well. One of which is to attend my first live seminar this year.

Hi Caleb, thanks so much for this your thread. I believe it will continue to pull in big reply, intially I tell you the goal setting isn't in my mind. But reading this your thread I believe without goal setting no road ahead. So, I have to write this at the end of this year I want my life to have a meaning in this forum. Doing what I love to do 'writing'. Best regard.

Great thread, Caleb!

My goals for 2011:

To create 100 adsense/cpa/affiliate sites and earn around $700-1000/day
To create a couple of PLR membership sites
To make a minimum of $5000/month in Forex.
To help 5 struggling marketers earn at least $3000/month.

These goals may seem lofty, but no goal is too big when you dedicate yourself to achieving it. I've decided that 2011 is going to be my year and I want to see myself earning $30,000/month by the end of the year.

All the best to everyone!

There are some very interesting and highly motivation goals set here, I would be glad if I could reach half or even 10% of some of them.

For myself I have some fairly modest goals, better to reach a handful than none at all.

My 2011 goals
  • Rank five of my sites on Googles first page
  • Make one Amazon sale
    • Make a premium, $1000-10000, product sale
  • Hire someone to
    • write my content
    • work on my linkbuilding and SEO
  • Start
    • a "project" blog
    • a niche site group
  • Find a niche site sidekick
  • Buy my girlfriend something nice

Well, this should not be to hard. I'll check them off one by one.

It's been a while now since I've been setting goals and failing to achieve them every other new year! But now I've figured it out that it's not the planning that matters but the doing! So I have a simple plan for 2011! I want and will become the "DO" it man! And earn as much as 500$ working part time on online marketing, integrate adsense to my already existing websites, finish the website am building and make it the #1 visited website in my country!
And most of allll!!! I want to get marrrrrrieed!!!

Set yourself a Big Goal.

Your Goal must be big enough for your brain to start firing at different ways to achieve it. You need a tipping point. that is why for 2011, in addition to my normal annual income, I am starting a $250.000 challenge to Tim and Steve of the Blueprint Project black edition. I want to give them a run for their money.

I will keep you guys informed about my progress.

Okay here's mine. I've posted it in a couple other spots last month but...

By the end of April I want to have 100 niche blogs built. I'm researching most of the keywords myself but I'm having someone else build them.

Last year I had a similar goal but, because I know how to build and SEO blogs myself I planned to build them all myself. I figured paying someone else would be a waste of money.

I failed at last year's goal because I just didn't or couldn't make the time to build them.

So this year I've decided that setting aside some of my full time income to build my IM business makes sense.

I'm following Kenster's comment that even if a blog only makes $1 per day that's okay... if you have lots of them

100 blogs at $1/ day gets me $3000/month and that would be very, very cool

Two Goals for me:

Number One: actually start making some money

Number Two: Pay for my trip to Canada which will be £5,000

Got a long way to go.

Well you said you wanted to make this thread an inspirational thread and as a newbie in the world of internet marketing I say you have done just that. Although my goals aren't quite as concrete as some of them here, since I'm really still learning and really have no true idea about how many sites I can create however that being said I do have a handful of goals at the moment that I would like to achieve this year, trying to follow the format of others here so that being said here we go!

1. I would love to have just 10 niche blogs up by the end of the year making $10/day each - if I can achieve just this by the end of the year I can have a much bigger year in 2012!

2. On that note as I am working on my first blog, I would like to use the EzineArticle competition to create 100 unique articles by April - Currently at about 7 articles right now but I am getting better at creating new articles quickly!

3. On that note, I would love to be able to make at least 1 sale a day through commission junction through that site by the end of the year (kind of goes with the $10/day goal from #1!

Again, thanks for posting this thread and I hope I can surpass these goals well before the end of the year!

Thats a good way to do it, but on the other hand. Keep it readable if you want your visitors to come back and don't just put out those kind of posts to attract search engines.

My goal for 2011 is to help as many people as I possibly can. I will start right here:

Mental Mastery Outline (rough draft):

1. Mental Mastery: Death will come before I give up
a. Meaning – what is the meaning for your life? Your purpose (goal worksheet). Without this worksheet you have no way of gauging where you want to be with where you are. You have no way of knowing when you have gotten off track. Most people don’t know where they are going so they don’t know when they have gotten off track.
b. Method – is the process by which you will get to your dream/goal. It’s your roadmap. Many people have no idea how to get where they are trying to go. They want to start a cell phone business and the first thing they do is go ask their momma who is a teacher. They ask their friends. They ask everyone but the person that can actually give them the exact process it will take to open that business. Someone who has already successfully done what you are trying to do is your only option.
c. Means – You have to leverage your means. These are the resources that you have available to you. If you don’t have any then you have to leverage what you have. Some people are reading this and saying but I don’t have any resources or any money, but maybe you have time which is a very valuable asset. Find that person ablove that has the “method”/ roadmap that you are looking for and help them. Help them do or get something they want and they will help you. I know you’re probably thinking well why wouldn’t they just give it to me. As a professional athlete do you think I have time to help every kid that comes up to me asking for help. What makes one kid stand out from another with the same request? Maybe their parents offered to take me to dinner and at dinner I learn just one piece of valuable information that can help me in life or business. Well I’m going to reciprocate and give them something they want as well. Sincerely helping people will take you a long way.
d. Management – Now that you have the above 3 you will need to manage them all. You have to keep your meaning/goals updated. You short term (30day), mid term (6mths-1yr) and long term (5yrs) must be updated as needed. As your business grows you will have to expand and manage more people and more things. You will have to know how to handle the success as well as how to manage the success. Failing at either one is detrimental.

I think it's sad that people think like this. The forces are a great way of developing a person, increasing self belief and self assurance (both being things needed to progress in life and aren't taught in any way shape or form in schools), and you learn to be effective working both in a team and alone. There are a lot of people in this world who would benefit from a stint in the forces.

Anyway, back to goals for 2011:
Goal: return to £100 a day (approx $150) consistently.
How: Using offline marketing to promote CPA offers, building more sites (and promoting them) in multiple niches, develop enough sites to dominate the top 10 for my main niche.
Must REMEMBER: flip sites in niches which have proven not to convert for me rather than just letting them die.

MY goal by the end of the year is to make an amount of $ 10,000.00 a month, automated from my new virtual hotel business.

I would like to make a minumum of 50$ a week from one hotel within the next month and 1/2, and would like to make $ 250.00 a week from my next hotel within 2 months.

I would like to make a minimum of $ 1,000.00 a week, with my 3rd hotel, and hire my first employee, within the next 6 months.

And am planning on opening another hotel, exacatly 1 year from April 3rd which shall also lead to a bank roll of $ 5,000.00 a week.

WHY?? Do I want to do this? First things first...I have never had a job, and never want a job, and will never have a job. I do need need money to support myself and my family. I also want to have enough money so that every couple of months, I can take a homeless person, give him/her a place to stay/a job and clothes/food, can't stand having people beg me for money.

The hotel business...I have always wanted to own a hotel chain...I do not have much funds, since I am just 19 years old...and thought "HECK...virtual hotels are FINE."

So now...I offer virtual hotel rooms, give prizes to members renting, and...I give special access to information people pay money for everyday.

You can find my site here Home Page | Lagron
My first hotel, is to open April 3rd, for the cost of $ 2.00 for the week.

Wish me luck....if the above doesn't work...I've got 2 other membership sites that do just fine for my living

ALSO- ...You wanted to create a live seminar of some sort... I'm sure you'll get there in time and with work... What topic/for what are you going to hold a "seminar" for?
