CLOSED & WINNERS ANNOUNCED: $50 - What Forum Post Is Most Important To You?

This contest requires you to identify the most "important" post or thread on the forum - for you. You will need to (1) link to the thread and (2) explain why it was important for you. The more detail the better.

This could be something that made you money. Helped your website's ranking. Changed your mindset. Etc.

It cannot be your own post or a thread you started. None of my posts or threads are eligible.

Winner will receive $50 from me via PayPal.

Deadline is midnight on February 20th, here in California. Winner to be announced on the thread.

It is possible lesser monetary amounts will also be made for runner-ups. We'll see how this goes.

Winner to be determined solely in my discretion based on my evaluation of value to yourself and the forum, but I will be considering any thanks and comments your entry receives.

Re: $50 - What Forum Post Is Most Important To You?

Personally for me the following thread has been the most helpful:
http://www.warriorforum.com/member-c...-warriors.html

These are the reasons why:
I was inspired for the first time on this forum to give helpful advice for Warrior Forum members. It was a very gratifying experience when one member informed me that my advice had been helpful for solving a problem with their online business: http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...ml#post3066383

The prize of this contest - the new blog, Matt LaClear and his team created for me is helping me so much with my online freelance business. I live in a remote rural community and at my age I can't get a decent job anymore. Thus, the only way for me to pay my bills is as an online freelancer.

Love & Light :)

Thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...e-reasons.html

Truly inspiring post. Sometimes we get down on ourselves and get depressed without even knowing it! This thread came at a very great time for me. I was tired and aggravated.. Just thinking.. "No one can possibly be having as much trouble with some of this as I am!" Then I came across this thread and seen how many times Abraham Lincoln has failed, and the life he had.

I want to take a little snippet from the thread for anyone who doesn't click on it:

1835 Sweetheart died
1836 Suffered Nervous Breakdown
1838 Defeated for speaker
1840 Defeated for Elector
1843 Defeated for Congress
1848 Defeated for congress again
1855 Defeated for Senate
1856 Defeated for VP
1858 Defeated for Senate
1860 Elected President

I know failure hurts but dont lose heart

You guys see that? And we complain about not getting ranked on Google within 24 hours? We complain about having to write articles or get back links.. Look at the life he had, and he NEVER gave up.

If he can fail that many times, have that many faults... and still rise above and become the man he was destined to be..

Can't we all? I made this into an image and it is my desktop wallpaper now. I hardly ever get down and aggravated now.

I think the length of this contest is what's scaring people away. A month is a long time. I suggest you run shorter contest such as only a week long. Just my opinion but think it would help improve participation.

Re: $50 - What Forum Post Is Most Important To You?

The most important thread for me, so far, is - http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...DdZEZAmUcKHSsa ;)

In this thread (which appears pretty simple), I realized a few things that have made my initiation into Internet Marketing much easier and more successful.:)

If you read through it, it's just me asking pretty rudimentary newbie questions:o, however the members who answered them gave me some great advice. They all gave me a plan of action, a blueprint of sorts, some plan to increase my rate of success.

Since I only have one site, I wanted to make sure at the time that I was taking a flawless approach to high rankings, which of course is a flawed way of thinking:D. I was so scared to make a mistake, exit my (tiny) comfort zone, I simply didn't do anything after I created the base of my blog.

The kind members basically put it to me this way - "Take action!".
They were absolutely 100% correct, following their advise has majorly improved my success rate. I realized that thousands had done it before me, and more will do it after me. It's not rocket science, it's hard work.
That's also when I realized that this whole IM thing isn't some fairy tale where I log into my computer every week to see that I magically have another 10,000$ in my account. That just doesn't happen...Sorry to burst your bubble.:o

The work must be put in, and with the help of their guidance, I managed to pin-point my focus and spend my hours working on the most relevant aspects of building a successful website. Instead of procrastinating and going around in circles, I started taking direct action to achieve goals I finally understood.

While that thread was the biggest turning point, I must say there have been countless others in the glorious WF, however they are simply too many for me to start mentioning them.:)

Through the thread I mentioned and the genuinly helpful members, I have managed to turn my blog into a profit. It's nothing to write home about yet, however for a beginner such as myself, it is a great feeling of accomplishment to be making more than I am spending.:)

I am certain that I will be able to further improve and succeed with more help from the warriors.

Thank you guys & gals, you really have given me hope.;)

Hi,

This one set me thinking and made me a better copywriter for the reading of it...

And I don't think anyone could possibly top Joshua's post:

Re: $50 - What Forum Post Is Most Important To You?

I want to take part in this contest. Those $50 dollars would come in very handy :)

The first thread I consider extremely helpful is the All-IN-One Article Marketing:
http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html

Before I stumbled upon that thread I had not considered article marketing. After that, I use article marketing as my main traffic method. That thread has given me very valuable insights on the issue and made me change my mindset drastically. I wanted to learn Adwords because people say that money brings money so free methods were not good for me. When I realized I didn't have the money to do Adwords advertising I considered free traffic methods and article marketing came to my mind.

In that thread you can find almost everything you need to start doing article marketing successfully.

The other thread I have found very valuable is this one:

http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ding-dime.html

It outlines a new method for me. One that I am really considering since it's a little out of the box, and it's international friendly. There are some restrictions in my country to do internet marketing but I am all the time looking for ways to make it work for me.

This year IS my year :)

Thanks

for me this post is most valuable: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...checklist.html

it gives a blueprint for a newbie internet marketer like me..
At first I didn't realize that list building is that important, but after reading the thread, I'm now starting to build my list

^^^That's what I'd like to know. Though the year was never given by the OP, 02/21/2011 has passed for everyone around the globe =). Who was the winner?

CLOSED & WINNERS ANNOUNCED Re: $50 - What Forum Post Is Most Important To You?

Funny comment about what year this will close!

Interesting responses. I had one in mind to be the winner but it has been deleted. Not sure if the Warrior was banned and had their posts deleted, or if they deleted it. but it cost them. Although it has been a few days since the contest officially ended I waited to see if the post would reappear. It hasn't so it must be gone for good.

Everyone who took the time to post an entry wins something. Thank you.

The winner of the $50 main prize is LegitSells.

$5 prizes also to:

bareket57
traffic-turbo
wanna-succeed
dorothydot
AlexBarboza
jimotman

Sorry WillR, but you could have spent your time simply linking to a favorite thread.

Like anything in life, you can't win if you don't play. So thanks again to everyone who participated.
