[SOLVED] Fun Challenge - $50 Paypal To Whoever Solves My Puzzle...

Solved by Will Perkins -

The next one will be harder and more fun, I promise

This puzzle came about in my spare time, when I saw Caleb Spilchen post in the test forum in binary. I offered him $50 to solve a simple puzzle, but figured it'd more fun to offer it in the challenge thread.

First one to post the answer gets $50 in their paypal account.

At the end of each week (Sunday night) I will post a new hint, subtracting $10 from the prize money.

When the prize gets down to $0, the thread will be closed.

Should be fun, here's the puzzle:

basically this binary unveils a proper message or just some random text?

i figured it was some random text:
Q2FsZW
IgU3Bp
bGNoZW
4gTG92
ZXMgQm
luYXJ5
LCBCdX
QgSSBE
b24ndC
BUaGlu
ayBIZS
BMb3Zl
cyBCYX
NlNjQ=

without breaks:
Q2FsZWIgU3BpbGNoZW4gTG92ZXMgQmluYXJ5LCBCdXQgSSBEb2 4ndCBUaGluayBIZSBMb3ZlcyBCYXNlNjQ=

incase it some meaningful message let me know

What is this all about? solving Binary values? What result do you expect though? Hexadecimal may be? LOL! I really want to know how to solve this puzzle :D

I was gonna make this the first clue, but it will translate to an 11 word sentence in legible English.

Lol...I'll have the answer within a couple days. I think I know what this is, but I'm not 100% sure, gotta research some things. I'm not going to refer to what I mean, because it's pretty simple once you get the idea.
I'm going to check it and when I'm sure, I'll be back with teh answer.

You just need to decode it properly and you will see it. ;)

Caleb Spilchen Loves Binary, But I Don't Think He Loves Base64

See, if I knew you were gonna enter the contest I would have at least used MD5 or something.

The next one will be harder since I know you'll be trying them.

Nice job though...

He converted into a different code. I was checking into it, but didn't focus on the right thing lol.
There are plenty of ways to code with numbers, this was a different format than what everyone else was trying, simply a different coding language.

Will, I would'a had you in 12 hours gerrrrrrr!

Congrats man...

Not exactly but close enough :)

FYI, base64 isn't a coding language, it's just a way to encode different forms of data that represent binary. It's a rather common misconception.

Great puzzle, although I'm working in binary at the university, I'm not that advanced in these coding formats.

Ahh binary, twos compliment would have been the death of me but being self-taught I was able to skip the boring parts.
