Julie, it was my pleasure! I now expect big things from you. 2X in fact. Thanks also from me to Dee the OP because these calls are helping me as well. Love talking, love helping even more. I got a lot out of my call to Dee and I'm glad to pay it forward to anyone who needs. Just mention this thread for a free chat.

Hi WF

A great thread to follow.

Read all through and was just fascinated by the way people who have come forward to help

Have been here for more than a couple of years as indicated by the number of posts and went left and right and centre buying a number of offers thinking that it was an easy task to make

Though i have tremendous knowledge cause have done more of reading and less of action I have nothing to offer practically but i have the knowledge to express myself in a number of areas but really a master of none so i dont know what to offer to Dee

I have now got into action about a year back being much wiser and matured and have put have several sites but not making the income or would say the income just trickling in and just cant scale it up. May be cause of lack of full/proper knowledge on KWs or may SEO as reading is easy but when faced with a situation it does become a bit difficult

So in short require a mentor who can guide me in practical situation since i am in action in the areas afore mentioned

Extremely knowledgable? Oh well, that counts me out but if you just want to talk to a normal encouraging positive person, call me any time.

Glad to have helped in some way. Let's keep the gift between us for now. I guess people will just have to find out themselves. Any other newbies need to speak to someone real, feel free to drop in anytime.

What I Bring to the Table

If you need any articles written, I can do that.
I write quality and very well researched, keyword filled articles.
I can also handle your blogging for you in exchange as I'm pretty good with working in WordPress.

I would like to be able to run a WSO someday; right now, I'm clueless.

I would appreciate any help I can get.

Hi.

As you can tell, I am very new. I have read through this thread and was very interested.

Why I Need A Mentor

So I was having lunch with my friend and proudly told him that I run one of the biggest blogs in my country (Kenya, Africa). When he asked how much money it makes me, he laughed when I told him that it makes almost nothing.

I need help to make this right.

What I Bring to the Table

I am a pretty good writer and I am very very experienced at building websites with WordPress. If you need any of this, you can count on me.

Thank you for taking the time out to read this.

Hi Guys,

I'm not that new to IM, but I'm not as successful as I would have liked to be. I am getting sales, just not on a consistent basis.

I do affiliate marketing for health related products...among other things like digital products from ClickBank.

I think my biggest challenge is traffic.

I was promoting a couple products a few years ago that did pretty well for me. They were ChatToText and Zero2Riches - maybe some of you may have heard of them.

Anyway, looking back, they were silly programs with no obvious future, but I was able to convert the traffic I was getting. My copy writing and videos are seemingly compelling enough to convert sales. I guess that stems from my sales experience.

When I check my analytics, I see that I only get an average of 5 visitors per day - my goal is at least 100 per day.

I guess I would like to know if my goal is a realistic one, and if there's anyone out there willing to help.

Thanks!

Chris

@ Chris

Here is why I cannot/will not help you.

I know this may be direct, but so be it.

You state you are having trouble with traffic, but the link in your sig promotes a product which claims to 'drive a massive amount of traffic in record time' and that is just the headline.

Do you see the issue here?

You are promoting a product which perhaps neither works, or which you have never invested in.

I hate this type of marketing - you must promote something you believe in...or you are cheating your subscribers.

If the product worked you would not need our help.

For people I mentor ethics is a must. There is clearly a conflict here, and I would advise you to look at that issue seriously.

Hello everybody..... Just writing it in case somebody would be willing to help...

I am in a need of mentor, and here is why:

Well, I'm not new in IM, but I'm still in process of learning (yeah, buying ebooks, wsos etc) and not taking action. The reason for it is that I'm very technical (I work as an IT specialist - mostly programming) and for simple things I have thousands of questions... that's preventing me from taking action.

Some time ago I was doing Micro Niche Adsense sites with success, but now I have problems with driving traffic and/or off-site SEO.

What I know/have:

Well that will sound stupid but I have SenukeX (yeah, having it and not making money? stupid) and other tools like The Best Spinner, Market Samurai.. I think I just need a proper mindset and some simple tips to start moving on...

If You want to help me - just PM me...

Regards

Slaps his offer down on the table...

Me? I'm an experienced professional copywriter. That is salesmanship-in-print. And Internet marketing knowledge? Yep, it's pretty vast. Who am I? I enjoy helping other people in a no nonsense style. I don't suffer fools gladly.

You...

You have a lot of commitment. You want to start thinking successfully. You've come from a poorer background but you really want more than anything else to start moving ahead with your life. You enjoy delivering high quality. And you have massive amounts of motivation and enthusiasm.

Depressives need not apply.

More importantly, if you want to learn copywriting, I'll give you personal coaching for about 30 minutes per day for 14 days.

If you cannot pm me because of a low post count, email me instead, the address to write to is just below in my signature.

I'll update this post as soon as I decide on the right person to assist and get them moving in a more profitable direction.

Kindest regards,

Mark Andrews

Hi Mark,

I have been reading though these post and very compelling. I am a copywriter also. I have taken the AWAI Six Figure course and slowly working though the Masters Course.

Last week I have decided to go through the Six figure course again.

I can write copy and I'm specializing my services in direct mail copy and the email autoresponder areas.

I seriously need a mentor or someone to take me under their wings as apprentice. Someone to teach me one on one how to write stronger copy and teach me how to market myself better.

This is the first year I have gotten paid for writing a 1 page sales letters, but the pay was very small. I want to excel in writing copy. I often dream about it at night. I can't shake it. This is the only thing I have found that I love doing.

Before this I have had no prior writing experience and my grammar is not the best. But I have found someone that has offered to edit for me cheaply until I get higher paying jobs.

I loved every course that AWAI has put out – but I learn better from hands on experience or one to one with somebody.

It is hard for me to really understand it all by just reading the courses and trying to implement them. I need step by step guidance.

If you can help or anyone other copywriter reading this, my thanks to you.

Don't have the time to write emails that will get opened, read and your reader to take action then leave me a message. I will get back to you within 48 hrs.

I know how expensive it is to buy one on one help but I also know how invaluable it is to just spend a few minutes talking about this stuff with someone who is just as excited (if not more!) than you. I love helping people and welcome any newbie to contact me for a free no obligation chat anytime (I'm open 12 hours a day). It will help me too as I love talking IM as much as anyone and I have some ideas I need fresh perspective on as well.

I have over 12 years experience in selling on the internet, have sold hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of info product, personal coaching and help services. I'm an MCP (since 1999) and the one thing I never get tired of is helping people who need and appreciate it. The only thing I ask is that if I get a paying client who needs help while I'm in a session with you that you occupy yourself for a few minutes while I stop and help. Apart from that if I'm idle I'd rather be talking with you anyway.

Bring it! I dare you to out "big think" me!
Dear Bill,

I am very new to IM/AM - only been exposed to it since August. I have been through numerous posts on this forum to get an understanding of how it all works. I even bought into a couple of programs only to be very disappointed.
I have been reading a lot of material on the web and trying to educate myself, but it has not been easy - it has been information overload and sometimes I get lost with all the jargon.
What I seek from you is step by step guidance to get an internet business off and running. I want to be able to learn the skills needed to make money online. Do you think you can help me with it.
I do work full-time but I would be happy to put in a certain amount of time every day because I am eager to learn. Will wait for your reply. Thanks.

Excellent point , I am currently helping someone with hosting and Word Press development. I enjoy mentoring people in SEO , hosting , website development. It's refreshing to see you lay it out there. As we help people it makes us understand a purpose in an often cut throat WWW Industry.

I spoke with Bill at WSOHelp last week... Seriously, I don't know why I didn't do it sooner - great conversation and he really helped me get past some mental blocks. Sometimes, it's good to just get someone to bounce an idea off of or show what your doing... You might get a different perspective on things.

Bill and a few other warriors have offered their help on this thread, don't be shy about contacting them if you need it because that is what they love to do.

It was good to speak to you Hermine. Drop in again any time. I'm glad to hear I helped a bit.

I must say Dee, the conversations I'm having are a pleasure and a joy. I love talking to IMers so please, if you're a newbie or just need some clarification please get in touch. Mention this thread and there is no charge for my time.

Dee has set this thread up for you and I will always have some spare time for a Warrior in need. I'm probably more available than most too because this is what I do. Good help is not cheap. Dee has opened a window of opportunity for you with this thread and I can tell you one thing for sure...I wish I had spoken to someone with more experience when I was confused and just starting out.

If you're reading this and feeling shy - don't be! Call up and lets have a laugh. I guarantee I'll have you laughing within 60 seconds and the rest will be just be a cool friendly chat.

I personally want help in attracting affiliates. If someone can guide me about attracting affiliates, pm me.

Thanks

I would love to have a mentor.

I have been involved in internet marketing (off and on) for about two years, and have yet to make a dime, well, I have made a dime but not enough for Google or Amazon to send me a check.

What I can promise you in return is someone who knows how to run a successful offline business, as I have started and run my own business (I actually do research and writing for a living) and have since 2007. My business has grown every year – which in this economy I am proud of that.

So I guess what I am saying is that while I haven't done well with internet marketing – I know that with the right team around me that I have the skill sets to make the business thrive - I just need your mentoring.

I realize that much of internet marketing is trial and error, and while I have had my share of error – I am determined to continue.

I have learned that I am terrible, just terrible at SEO but its importance is paramount to success. I am ok with some basic website building - be it with Wordpress or light HTML - but I can never optimize a site well enough without the right knowledge.

Also important to me, which I might admit is probably part of my reason of failure – is that many of the popular avenues of marketing revenue are very unappealing to me – I don't want to sell weightloss tips that don't work, or get rich quick schemes to people who need the money for rent, or collect email addresses unethically, or spam blogs for improved SEO.

I want to add value.

I will find a need in the market – and fill it.

I think I have found some of those needs – some of those niches that are asking for more competition. I need a mentor to say - hey - let's roll with this one and let's hit it out of the park.

I get it, there are no shortcuts to success – but with a team – many hands can make a huge difference.

I have ideas – domains and some starter attempts online now – but I am ready to start fresh. I won't give up.

Good to have people, who are ethically strong. We need more marketers like you. Saying that, i have put together some decent products up there, made some technical breakthroughs. I will like to offer my help. But, i am extremely busy in my schedule and you have to be real action taker to get my advice.

I can help you in setting up your shop. After that, you are on your own. I might help you out here or there. But, still, you have to use your own brain in traffic generation. But, i do believe, if product is good, you dont need millions of hits. Handful of traffic should be able to generate profits which you can use to attract more visitors.

So, let me know if i can be of any help.

Cheers

I need a mentor who I can communicate with through email or Skype. I am fairly self-sufficient and independent so I won't "bother" my mentor all the time; I'll just ask questions if I have a problem or need to clarify things. I am creating my own plan of action so I would also like my mentor to take a look at my plan and give his/her opinion about it. Thanks!

Someone is using this thread to fish for paying customers. I wrote them on Skype and they said they were no longer doing free mentoring but I could pay for it.

Is that what this thread is for - fishing for paying customers? I think the person guilty of this should be put off the thread.

I want to make sure I have the right person, so help me out here. Was that you Amanda I spoke to on Skype?

well, this will happen. I was seeing it coming. But, who cares? I am sure, there are ton of people out here, who genuinely want to help newbies. So, if 5% out of those, want money. Dont talk to them. Dont forget, this is marketing forum and we all here to make money.

If someone ask for money, dont let it impact you negatively. If you like the offer accept it, if not, move on. There are ton of people here who will help you out, if you are facing tough time financially.

I care.

Yes , really i do.

As for Webmind, understand that I simply requested people to give up two weeks of their busy lives to help people lower down the ladder then themselves, so naturally they wil not mentor forever unless you offer them something valuable in return (that is just human nature - fact).

The idea of this thread is to have a continuous stream of new mentors - allowing many many warriors to give something back. You will see that at various times in this thread knowledgable warriors have stepped up and become active for a few weeks until someone else takes over.

I also notice you havent added a single comment to this thread which states what you actually need and what you can give back.... you didnt take the time to stick to the guidelenes of the thread either, yet you expect all the benefits !

Do you even read your own thread? I am pasting my first response here. I clearly told all warriors what i can do for them and what i want to learn.

If you dont read it, i have quoted just above your reply.

As far helping someone out is concerned. I am already helping 3 warriors here. Just when i posted my post here, i got 3 skype messages.

I am not charging even single cent from them. I am not a coach. I just came here to help some guys.

You dont even read your own thread and start accusing people. Good job!!

@ Ankur

You obviously missed the 'As for Webmind' bit.

That is clearly for the poster above you, and not for you.

Guess I could have made that clearer.

oh well...
My advice is to try again. Not everything works the first time, but perserverance can sometimes work wonders. Do not give up, if you really want the help then look to be creative.

Also state your request clearly int his thread along with what you have to offer. I know some mentors scan the thread and get back to people asking for help.

I have donated hours and hours and hours to people who have tapped me on the shoulder for some help from this thread and never charged a cent...jeez now we have to come and defend ourselves for offering free guidance - that's sad. I have posted several times that I'm willing to help so for those complaining have you bothered to ask for help from those who offered? We (I) have better things to do than to go around asking/bothering people if they want free help so If you want help from one of the people who have volunteered their time to guide you in this thread...all you have to do is ask and don't forget to mention this thread because if you didn't mention this thread then I would presume you wanted to hire me.

Why you should mentor me?

Because you have done it before, and know that it is possible, and like to see others succeed.

What I bring to the table?
  • I have been writing content for other IMer's for almost a year and have mastered SEO optimized content.
  • I can install wordpress in five minutes, and set up a theme with a customer header in another 20 (and it looks good!), I have my own hosting, and can afford to buy domains.
  • I know how to build back links through sites like BMR and have been a writer for others using the system... and I know that it works.
  • I have a sales background, so I can piece together content that subtly guides people into the sales funnel... convincing them they will need to purchase the product while still providing useful information.
  • I have written autoresponder sequences for others, who have informed me that they are happy with the conversions.
  • I am eager to put all of this knowledge together in a way that actually makes some cash.
  • I THINK I know how to do keyword research and figure out when it makes sense to pursue something... and how much work it might take.
  • I am already self employed and doing the things I understand need to be done in order to succeed in the world of IM.

Why do I need your help?
I have yet to find a product that I feel has the right level of demand, but not too much competition. I really need help with this stage.
I have not defined an action plan that I feel is really going to get me to the point where my site is actually generating revenue... and need your help ensuring I have an approach that is likely to work.

Do you have some time?
If you do, it would be great to chat via skype. I am very willing to share the profits if you are willing to show me the steps required to turn my knowledge into cash!

Hi Warriors!

I've just got off of a mammoth 4 and a half hour session with Bill Stacy (WSOHelp), which didn't cost me 1 cent, thanks to this thread. He even gave me freebie just for getting on the call with him, plus he stayed up until 5am to help me out... what does that say? Awesome!

I thanked him on the call, but I'll say it here again, thank you Bill! Some of the stuff he shared was great, and we had a good laugh.

I also want to thank Dee for starting this thread, as it's given me and many other Warriors the chance to interact and get proper help from each other.

I really love how this forum is full of really great people. It's true. Countless times I've had help from people in this forum. Whether it be the main forum, WSO's, War Room, Warriors For Hire and now this thread. We have a truly exceptional and invaluable community here in WF... we should treat as such.

Thank you so much for this!

I'd like to show you what my step-coach (Bill) done for me, my squeeze page:

Before & After

I really like that, I think it's awesome and it's something I would have paid for normally!

Bill you're great. Dee you're great. Any other Warrior who is giving their time up (which they could easily charge for, and some do) for another Warrior who's in need, you're also great!

All the best!

Jamie

Hi all,

I would like to have a mentor as well. Here's why:
I am now trying to start a site as a clickbank affiliate. In my progress i am bound to all kinds of newbie hurdles, sometimes they set me back and get me all confused.

It will be great to have a mentor who are able to see what's wrong with my plan, and give me advise & motivation from time to time.

What I know/have:
Basically i am just starting out, i am willing to put in time & effort. I spent first few months getting all confused like most newbies do. Now that i know what would i like to do, i can focus on my plan. Just that having a mentor will make things much clearer & simpler.

Dear Mentor,
Please do drop me a PM & leave me your email as i have no access to PM yet. (insufficient post count)

Thanks.

Howdy Brian, long time...

Of course this thread is still going and in the run up to Christmas you are going to see many many more mentors come forward to do their good deeds in the season of good will...

Note to all people wanting to be mentored. Understand that it is human nature for people to want something in return (lets not lie about it - it is nearly always true).

That is why I suggested you all are willing to offer something back to your mentor - it will increase your chances greatly of finding the help you need. Make this thread work for you by offering a little something back in return for your mentors time - think of it as a bartering thread rather then a free mentoring thread and new life will spring into this thread...

(You may be able to give insights about a certain industry, you may have some skill that may be valuable to a mentor - think about it and make sure you mention it)
