I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

Hello there!

I read the thread about sponsoring a warrior in need, and although I see that as a nice gesture, it is very unlikely to help any struggling Warrior succeed.

I run a coaching program and numerous mastermind calls, all of which show me one thing, a little guidance and focus for someone in need goes a long long way to their success.

It is very easy to give a few dollars and feel good about it, but how about giving some of your time to someone who really needs it and has a desire to succeed?

I CHALLENGE YOU TO MENTOR A WARRIOR IN NEED FOR TWO WEEKS.

It's not a lifelong commitment, just a little of your time, every day for two weeks. It's time to give love back to this industry and not just money.

Warriors in need: If you wish to be mentored please state why and what you bring to the table. What skills do you have and how hard are you willing to work. You bartering of skills is important to gain a good mentor so ensure you bring something to the table, in terms of something you can give back to your potential mentor. (Let's be realistic - that is the only way this will work in the long run)

Successful warriors: You can work in two ways. You can either reply directly to a request for help or state your availability and choose from those needing your help.

Who knows how well this might work but just helping one person in need would make this thread worth it, but lets see if we can help 100's

================================================== ========
A tip to applicants. Explain in detail what your experience is and what specifically you want help with.

Think, if I only had one hour with a mentor, what is it that I really want to learn? It can't be too much as it is only an hour - but this will both help you focus and allow your mentor to best help you. They can only help you when you TELL THEM what you need. Needing 'help' is a pretty useless reply as it is really unspecific. Do you need help finishing your product? Gaining customers? improving conversions? Pick one theme and focus on finding help for that first.

PS - if you do not have enough posts to PM why not?? It's only 50 posts to be able to PM - work your butt off for a day and add something of quality to just 50 posts and your problem is solved - that way you prove to your mentor that you can work hard - which is priceless...

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

Oh dear oh dear,

I'm really interested in this challenge.

I'm new to the world of internet marketing and only really began trying things a few weeks ago. I finally moved to buy things, bought 3 domain names, got some things on them, nothing special.

Then I found out about some things I really like to do, I wrote my first sales letter for a WSO, I have no idea if it's any good and what's to be improved or where one is able to learn how to write great sales copies, so some mentoring on that part might be cool :).

I also found out that I really like keyword research somehow, I like browsing the web for keywords with good exact searches, low traffic, high CPC, with an EMD that is still available to register, so I can bring in my limited knowledge of this as well.

Another thing I might be good at is writing, I learned that I can and will write on topics that I like, topics I find informative and fun to read and write about. I'm not a native speaker but I hope my English has been good so far.

I'm currently in college, pursuing a bachelors degree in international business and management studies, in which I have a lot of things, finance, economics, marketing, logistics, business law, you name it. So I can bring in the knowledge I gain from school as well :).

Anyways, I'm really eager to work and do things, I like to learn new things, especially when profitable (who isn't eager to learn in such a position right?). So I'd really love to get the opportunity to get coached by someone. I also recently read a guide on domain flipping, which I find great, as I love keyword research, I also love domain selling.

Well, I think that's it, if you're willing to give me a chance reply to this thread, PM me, or hit me up on Skype; deveronh.

Thanks,

Deveron

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

I have actually been doing this in the other thread. I may not have spent a lot of time in IM, but my time working in IM has been successful. In only a few months I am making a steady income using a mixture of affiliate marketing, product creation, and providing services.

Basically, what I said was that before people go asking for someone to pay for their War Room, they could talk to me and I would help them by either answering their questions or showing them towards free resources. The War Room is great, I don't regret the purchase at all... but there is so much free information to learn from first!

So anyone that has some questions or needs a little boost getting started, feel free to PM me or use any of the instant messenger contact information I have listed.

I can't teach you to make millions over night... in fact, I only make around $1000-1500 a month right now, but everything I have been doing I can duplicate with more websites and none of my sites have reached #1 in Google yet, though they are climbing. I can help you get started, point you in the right direction, and hopefully help pave your way to success.

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

Hi guys,

I'm currently studying for a Doctorate in Astrophysics, which I believe endows me with an analytical mind, lots of mathematical / html / programming skills - and vitally, a financial shortfall!

I've just finished writing an e-book, but I don't think its appeal is broad enough. I'm now starting to look into creating some niche websites and generating traffic (unrelated to the book).

I've tried quite a few money making ideas in the offline world with limited success, but am addicted to trying new things and self-improvement in general. As is the mantra of successful people, I'll keep trying until I get it right, but having a mentor would of course be invaluable! You can't buy experience..

If anyone would like to help, then I would love to hear from you.

Thank you,
Paul.

I feel I fit perfectly into the profile for this challenge. I have skills and I have a challenge and I just created a new but unmarketed product. I'd love to interact with you. I just sent you a PM.

Thanks for your consideration.

2) Wow - I recieved a lot of pm's - HOWEVER I never promised to mentor all of you - I can not. That is why you should annouce yourself on this thread as many other warriors will step up to help you. Announce yourself clealy with what you have to offer in return and you will have a high chance of finding a mentor.

3) Since Deveron was the first to answer I will take up your challence. Just the Facts also sent me perhaps the greatest example of a 'why you should pick me' email and so I pick you too.

Amanda has kindly leant her support as a mentor. If I wwere someone new and needed help I would bite her hand off for help as she is making money right now, in just the same way you will. Many of us bigger marketers have lists and products to reply on and whilst we can advise new startups on principles Amanda is living it right now - that is invaluable and hope you see that. Thanks Amanda, i'm sure you will do great.

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

Alright, I had a chat with Dee this morning through Skype, he told me some things that I should do with the domains I had and what not to do. He gave me some tips and told me to get back in a month or so when I had written some articles and such to get some ranking on the keywords I target.

He told me that I should look for a mentor that is a bit more focused on the newbie side of IM as I'm still green as grass :) So I'm still open for other opportunities. I got a lot out of the short chat I had with Dee and I really enjoyed it.

Thanks Dee!

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

Im a warrior in need.
The past 2 weeks have been the worst of my life. my car took a dump(im a delivery driver), its a several thousand $$ repair(all my money), got into a cent amount of CC debt for life emergencies like this one, and i have been pursuing a career as a mix engineer for quite sometime. I consider myself a successful mix engineer but not by how much money ive made off of it(havent seen a dime, they say 2014 if the label doesnt go out of business [Sony]) but how well respected i am for my age and willingness to work.

How hard am i willing to work? How hard are you willing to push me into new lands? Ive worked 72 hours straight at the world famous hit factory in miami as an intern for free to prove myself. I have done some internet marketing but there is so much too it, what everyone says doesnt make sense because they all say something different about the same thing.

Id like to take the knowledge i get with a mentor and use that for the new business model of the music industry. Independents are on a rise and labels are dying.

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

I've posted the same post in one more thread.
Don't know if I'm allowed to post it here or not. if not, Mods kindly delete the post.

I'm into IM for past 4 months. I read a lot, learned a lot. I've started implementing the knowledge I gathered in past 4 months. I've learnt alot from warrior forum. I've seen many folks helping each other. I love this forum. :)

I'm looking for someone who could guide me personally maybe through mails, IM etc. I'm looking for few of the automation tools - Automatic Backlink creators, maybe some bots for twitter, facebook etc. I'm technically strong. So, I can do technical work at ease. Looking forward for someone who could share his/her tools and knowledge.

PM me if someone wants to contact me through IM. I'll send you email id.

Looking forward for a positive response.

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

Wow - awesome thread with awesome gratuity.

I'd like to throw my hat in being a warrior in need. At this time I'm 4-5 months old in IM, been cruising through the special offers buying a few WSOs and it didn't take me long at all to realize I needed some guidance in those PDFs that simply are nonexistant. I can't buy much of anything at this time, I haven't had a job for months and I'm about to end up homeless in a second. Also I'm aware that the people pulling my weight here no longer wants me here so its been a stressful time focusing on anything without taking on too much. I feel guilty volunteering with my local fire dept because it doesn't pay and I get treated like I own something to the people I live with. I'm doing offline marketing as of now, building websites, phone leads, CL posting services, facebook pages, which I all outsource. Beware that I have no actual skills to do it myself. I also own 3 domains, know alittle about wordpress, nothing about PPC, belong to some CPA networks, and can write optimized articles.

Any help/advice/guidance would be tremendously appreciated.

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

Hello All,

Thank you VentureToTheTop, AmandaT, and Matt for extending a helping hand to those striving to succeed in IM. Not too long ago, I found this information-rich forum and it's been a God-send. WF is outstanding to say the least.
Now, I'm a newbie to IM.....just recently I started learning about SEO, link-building, article writing, content management, PPC, etc. on the web (just good ol' fashion research)..and, yes, I got caught up purchasing a lot of rehashed products and got burned (although, I must say Market Samurai is nice). I'm having to slow down my info absorption rate in an effort to avoid information overload, but I just love learning this stuff. I believe in my heart that this is what I should be doing. It's the perfect fit for me and vice-versa....I need someone to guide me through the process of setting up passive income streams via affiliate marketing. Someone who has been there and done that...what I bring to the table:

1. Quick learner (very teachable)
2. Solid verbal skills
3. Good teacher
4. Basic knowledge of SEO
5. Good technical skills (background in cloud technologies, technical writing and PC security management)
6. Good interpersonal skills - straightforward guy with a down to earth personality
7. Open to setting up a JV

I don't want to be sponsored, but mentored. I know that time is money....and it's the mentor's time that must be respected and valued and I will treat it as such.

If looking to mentor someone with a passion for IM, a unrelenting desire to succeed and willing to lend a hand to the next person.....that's me. You can help change my life today. Look forward to connecting with a mentor soon. Thank you for your time.

I'd be willing to take on a "student"! I'd have a little different structure though!

I am a high 5 figure/ (possibly 6 figure this year) business owner in the sports training niche. This has all been from free traffic, though I plan to get into PPC soon. As well as product launches. All information/training products.

My structure will be more like an "internship" in the sense that I have a pretty awesome, easy to learn business model, but am a month out from the biggest launch of my career, so I could use the extra mind and hands! This is an opportunity for a student to learn not only a business structure, but a launch structure as well. PM me if interested! This is all I can really offer right now due to my schedule, but I'd love to help!

Ok Matt you got me thinking...

I've had so many requests from people who are new at this that I'm going to do something insane.

I will allow 26 people to join my 30 day IM Business Mindset starter program for FREE.

Not only that but I will take a personal interest in you...

The course will teach :

1) What to focus on
2) How to know what to do
3) How to set up you first money making site within 30 days (I do not guarantee you make money only that you will have a product or site up and running)

Then after that 30 days you can focus on getting other things right, like marketing, seo etc...

This is mainly for beginners who are stuggling to know where to get started.

Not only that, but the 25 warriors that join will have their Q&A attended to by me personally, via a webcast or video response....

I am you 4 week mentor...

A lot of people will message me about this so stand out from the crowd and find another way instead of the easy PM route to message me. It will give you immense bonus points.

I will be starting a 5 part podcast series for anyone wanting to be mentored by me. In the series I will break it down on everything you need to do to grab page one rankings from Google. We will also have a support ticket system in place in which you can ask specific questions and either myself or someone from my staff will answer it. The first live broadcast will be next week so pay attention to my sig file later today for the details. I will also make the recordings available to anyone wanting them as well. Again I am offering this for completely free. Also the podcasts will be commercial free as well. Consider this my attempt to pay my own great fortunes forward.

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

Hi guys - I posted very similar to this in another thread but the sentiment is the same.

To all the wonderful mentors/sponsors:
I don't need the gift of war room membership or any money as I'm making just enough profit to keep me and the kids fed but what I would really love is some help in launching my new virtual assistant provider site - it's almost ready to go (site is set up and content is going in daily between my VA work and kids) and most of the assistance I need (I think) is an experienced eye who can tell me what is missing, what is nonsense etc and help me with a launch strategy. I've put the whole business plan and strategy together but this is the bit I'm really struggling with. I haven't yet been able to find someone who can really give me an objective view with the experience I need - it's what is holding me back at the moment (the fear that some major part is missing and I fall flat on my face at the first hurdle). I know I will get there on my own eventually but getting a boost from someone with true experience would be all I need - even if it's just a one hour consultancy. There seems to be so many training programs in how to launch niche membership sites or product launches but can't find anything of use in how to launch a service provider site such as mine (so maybe that's my WSO in the future??)

What I can give in return is time from myself as a vastly experienced virtual assistant with a wide knowledge of online marketing practices or from one of the other specialist outsource workers that I use - we can discuss the amount of hours so it is a win-win for both. I'm also more than willing to promote your own business through my site if it's a good match.

I'm just on that cusp - but feel in limbo as to how to get the final ball rolling. My signature link below will lead you to the site that I am hoping to launch so that you will get a good idea of where I am and what I need. I am aware that the video on the front page is too small - I'm filming in the next couple of weeks in front of Sydney Opera House - it's just a placeholder at mo. It is really the strategy for launch I need and someone to tell me yay or nay with ideas I have. I really do have a fantastic team of experts to help me put things in place that are suggested - I'm just lacking the credible suggestions!!! lol

With hopeful prayer
Kaz

Amanda T - You are extremely generous in what you are offering to people - my Skype id is Thomson.Marketing - I'd love to chat with you to see if we can exchange some ideas/services.

I am always on the look out for new talented outsource workers too and will be even more so when the site is rocking so anyone who feels that they can offer services to build their portfolio I would be interested in speaking to them to see if I can match them with either what I need or what a client needs.

I'm happy to mentor people into building their own personal outsource/VA business if they were interested.

The first live broadcast will be next week so pay attention to my sig file later today for the details. I will also make the recordings available to anyone wanting them as well. Again I am offering this for completely free. Also the podcasts will be commercial free as well. Consider this my attempt to pay my own great fortunes forward.

O! I hope I am not too late! Definitely not missing out on this one..... Thanks Matt!

How hard am i willing to work? How hard are you willing to push me into new lands? ...

Id like to take the knowledge i get with a mentor and use that for the new business model of the music industry. Independents are on a rise and labels are dying.

Hi Mixengineer,

What do you want from a mentor? Do you want to know how to promote yourself (and your talents) online? Alternatively, do you want someone to help you discover the new business model for the music industry? Something else?

Try to be more specific with regard to what you want from a mentor. For example, I could help you a great deal in self-promotion, but I doubt that I could be much help in doing what the music industry has been exploring for years in terms of a new business model.

You might want to re-think all of this in terms of your own short-term needs and long-term goals.

Thank you,

There may be ways to combine your knowledge and experience in a way that results in money. Your field has wide appeal, although you may need to "dumb it down" a bit to reach and inform a wider audience--at least in the beginning.

Consider ways in which you can move your audience/readership, over time, from basic interest into a more sophisticated understanding of the concepts that interest you.

Sagan did so, but he is gone. There is a space (no pun intended) into which someone can step.

Let me know if you're interested in more.

I CHALLENGE YOU TO MENTOR A WARRIOR IN NEED FOR TWO WEEKS.

It's not a lifelong commitment, just a little of your time, every day for two weeks. It's time to give love back to this industry and not just money....

Our fearless leader in this thread presents a superb idea. However, I hope he is using "every day for two weeks" as an example rather than a dictate.

I do a lot of mentoring--paid and unpaid, depending upon the assignment. The pace (regularity) at which tutoring is offered needs to meet the specific project, the rate at which the mentee responds, the availability of test data, and the rate at which the mentor can analyze such data.

I have responded to some on this thread. To those, and others who want a mentor for which I seem a likely match, I promise this: I shall provide up to fourteen hours of mentoring over the next three and a half months. I shall provide that mentoring on a pace that reflects your own progress.

I make money from the following sources: e-book/e-course sales, Adsense, affiliate sales, advertising, etc. I have been in the Internet business since 2006. I can provide information about my specific areas of expertise to those who express an interest.

Let me know if you are interested.

Re: I challenge you to MENTOR a warrior in need...

@gsport

If you do a lot of mentoring then you will know that a 2 week committment is much easier to accept then a 6 month committment... and thus I only ask advanced warriors to give 2 weeks of our time to help others.

If you can give more great, I'm sure many warriors will appreciate it, but I know many advanced warrior who cannot give 6 months, but would love a way to give quick fire one to one advice to help people, and thus the birth of this thread.

@ Everyone

I'm almost done with the quickfire newbie course. I will give details of how to qualify for free access in the coming days..
