Hi All.

I see free war room memberships, free seo services and just some good old general handouts going on here so I want to get involved!!!

But....

I do have a motive!

So what do I want In return?

Well all I ask is that you post what your best tip to building a huge email list as fast as possible?

Everyone today talks about using fb fan pages to build lists.
So my plan is:
1) Create a fb fan page, related to your niche. With every fan page you have a list (and you always inbox), you can send messages to your fans.
2) Start promoting it:
a) mention other pages or public figures in your niche on your wall posts
b) create a special page (linked to an app) that can be visible only to your fans
c) do some giveaways: to the best commenters, etc...
d) promote your page outside fb, give away some good stuff in exchange of them liking your page

Webinars are awesome! I can convert my social network and blog readers into email subscribers. The other thing is to do a free or $.01 dime sale to build a targeted list.

Go the Co reg way, but in this case you are the one doing the co reg meaning that when a user signs up to you newsletter, membership etc. then they will have the chance to sign up to other topic lists. also. Imagine if you own them all. Use all the above strategies and you will kill it as you will segment people at the same time. Here is the kicker, let say when you launch you WSO,then you make a unified front with the lists and it will look like a mini launch at the same time. This will attract more affiliates and the ball just keeps rolling.

I would give away a free copy of my product for a limited time period. If the promotion is just about right, it'll build me a huge list. Sure, I don't make profit for that period of time but the eventual value that list brings me is worth much more.

This has worked well for me in the past, especially in the dating niche. Imagine gaining a customer's trust, not with just a quality product but a quality free product. hehe

All the above methods are great but the most profitable method which built my list when I was new here was :

Place a banner ad in warrior forum above in the header.You can see an ad above.The ad price is $100 for a full day As I remember but the returns are damn good.

1) Holding a referral contest from your existing visitors or subscribers.

So, you give the contestant a tracking link and challenge them to get as much as people to get a cool freebie by signing up to my list. Encourage them to tell their facebook friends, twitter followers, website visitors, or email list. Give them banners.

The 5 persons who bring the largest confirmed opt-ins will gain the cash prize.

And even ALL contestants who don't make it to top 5 will still get a prize like high quality ebooks or audios (digital, of course). It's a thank you for their hard work bringing in new visitors.

2) Setting an advertisement in high circulation magazines of specific niche, pointing to your squeeze page.

Putting an ad in high-circulation magazine can get your website URL seen by x.xxx to xx.xxx of eyeballs for a fraction price of solo ad. If you know a basic catchy IM copywriting, with headlines and benefits or stuff you'll write in a squeeze page or sales page, you can make sure the offline stampede of traffic will convert.

create a free WSO and promote it on the WSO.
on forums place your link in the signature - give out free ebooks.
Create a WSO that pays 100% commision to your JVs and get them to sell it for you. You have a buyers list which is better.
Buy solo ads. That provide gurantee and has some good reviews.
Keep buying solo ads till you have a big enough list.

I assume if you have done all as above.
you sub count would have been almost 4000 - 6000.
The final touch will be to have 2 - 3 ad swaps and youre done.

In a matter of 2-3 months you have a list of 10,000.

Here is what I would do...I am still planning to do this.

1. Create a FREE WSO or price it cheap as chips...like 50 cents...or 99 cents..or even a dollar.

2. Give 100% commission to Affiliates.
3. Over deliver - provide value.
4. Build that List!

Join a good blogging network and write blogs, get SEO outsourcing to rank them, write about your product and put a banner link under your blog for your capture page, that way you will get fresh organic leads instead of paying for WSO`s and spending money and testing other peoples list trying to build your own

I thank Colin for starting this thread because it really helped a rookie like me to get some fantastic ideas! So lets keep it coming whether prize has been awarded or not.

I personally want to up the ante here with a ROOKIE PRIZE of my own.

I WILL PERSONALLY GIVE $100 CASH TO WHOEVER I THINK HAS THE BEST TIP ON THE QUESTION AT HAND BY END OF APRIL. I will pick my own WINNER ON APRIL 30TH (MY BIRTHDAY) and then send them the $100 PRIZE through paypal.

Have others giveaway your product as a bonus.
You let someone else run a WSO.
Someone with a list.
Let them get the affiliates to promote their product.

You offer your product, to the product owner as a bonus.
If you have a good product, all that does is add value to the first product.

Now, you didn't have to run a WSO.
But, you still have a buyers list.
You now have a list you can market to.

If you do this with several product creators, you can add thousands to your list within a month.

Put together a webinar series that you host. Grab 5-6 gurus, coaches, product creators). There will be 2 webinars per week 6 speakers = 3 weeks. They all email out to there list 2 times before the webinar series starts. (this is mandatory, if they refuse, get other speakers) You compose the emails that they are to send out. Make sure you join their lists so you know if they email out.

Make sure they have active lists that relate to your future niche. Offer them 75%-100% commission on their sales. Basically they are getting the power of cross promotion to the other speakers subscribers who join the webinar series. You are getting a list for doing very little work.

Forgot my offline method, which is still darn good. You have a website, called goldfish.com. You go into your local fish store and ask if you can put a glass fishbowl up on the counter at checkout. Put a sign on the fish bowl that says, fill out the card with your name and email address for your chance to win a $50 gift card to the fish store. (you pay for $50 card)

Winner is contacted via email. (That way you know they gave you a valid email address)

Now double your money! Offer to not only share the email contacts with the store owner, but try to upsell him with a service to set up an autoresponder sequence for him loaded with marketing messages for his store.

This is an easy way to get a SUPER targeted list of people who actively spend money on this niche.

I agree that the topics above are one of the best! Fb is really freaking powerful now days! I have Facebook pages that grow 200 to 300 likes per day! Imagine building lists out of these people and profiting from their VIRAL activity??

This forum's Terms & Conditions is too long and I get tired reading and I easily forget what I read, if it's too long.
I'm guessing the WSO room is where we have to be a paid member of this forum to advertise what we're selling and this forum would have it's own order form and order transaction facility and it'd take care of our customer orders and take a cut.
And, you are offering this membership as a prize. Correct ?

Well, I have never built a list before.
But right now, I'm building automation tools (desktop .exe softwares) which I intend to sell. Some, I'm thinking of giving away for free with a condition that users must signup to my mailing list. Also, I'd get the freebie softwares to check my website from time to time where I post new ads and so all the users should see my ads displayed on the softwares from time to time.
That's one plan I have to build a list.
I'd be searching for sponsors soon for my paid softwares. This is where the user wouldn't pay for the license but the sponsor. So, if sponsor sponsors 1000 copies then he can giveaway copies to 1000 people for free as his already paid for the licenses. Ofcourse, his 1,000 users would have to submit their email addresses to the software so the sponsor gets them into his list. The software EULA would require users to submit their email addresses to the sponsor or not use the softwares. They can buy separately a license. Those who like the softwares and don't want to pay for a license but get it free from the sponsor must submit their email addresses to the sponsor. Simple.
I'm always on the lookout for good software ideas. Softwares that sell so I can build them and give them away to build my list. People have a choice either to pay my competition or get it free from me sacrificing their email address to my software sponsor. A honey trap for the bees, if you get what I mean.
Just one way to build a list. That's what I'm planning.
My softwares aren't finished yet and I'm not gonna list them here for fear of spam cries.

Share on: create a free WSO and promote it on the WSO. on forums place your link in the signature - give out free ebooks. Create a WSO that pays 100% commision to your JVs and get them to sell it for you. You have a buyers list which is better. Buy solo ads. That provide gurantee and has some good reviews. Keep buying solo ads till you have a big enough list. I assume if you have done all as above. you sub count would have been almost 4000 - 6000. The final touch will be to have 2 - 3 ad swaps and youre done. In a matter of 2-3 months you have a list of 10,000. Please PM me my reward thanks hehehe

Create a FREE WSO or price it cheap as chips...like 50 cents...or 99 cents..or even a dollar. 2. Give 100% commission to Affiliates. 3. Over deliver - provide value. 4. Build that List!

Share on: Join a good blogging network and write blogs, get SEO outsourcing to rank them, write about your product and put a banner link under your blog for your capture page, that way you will get fresh organic leads instead of paying for WSO`s and spending money and testing other peoples list trying to build your own

You let someone else run a WSO. Someone with a list. Let them get the affiliates to promote their product. You offer your product, to the product owner as a bonus. If you have a good product, all that does is add value to the first product. Now, you didn't have to run a WSO. But, you still have a buyers list. You now have a list you can market to. If you do this with several product creators, you can add thousands to your list within a month.

Share on: Put together a webinar series that you host. Grab 5-6 gurus, coaches, product creators). There will be 2 webinars per week 6 speakers = 3 weeks. They all email out to there list 2 times before the webinar series starts. (this is mandatory, if they refuse, get other speakers) You compose the emails that they are to send out. Make sure you join their lists so you know if they email out. Make sure they have active lists that relate to your future niche. Offer them 75%-100% commission on their sales. Basically they are getting the power of cross promotion to the other speakers subscribers who join the webinar series. You are getting a list for doing very little work.

Share on: Forgot my offline method, which is still darn good. You have a website, called goldfish.com. You go into your local fish store and ask if you can put a glass fishbowl up on the counter at checkout. Put a sign on the fish bowl that says, fill out the card with your name and email address for your chance to win a $50 gift card to the fish store. (you pay for $50 card) Winner is contacted via email. (That way you know they gave you a valid email address) Now double your money! Offer to not only share the email contacts with the store owner, but try to upsell him with a service to set up an autoresponder sequence for him loaded with marketing messages for his store. This is an easy way to get a SUPER targeted list of people who actively spend money on this niche.
