I would love to join your challenge. I want to help my local businesses get more customers, so that is what I am going to be doing in 2012. I am going to offer both online and traditional marketing for a whole package deal.

Right now I am laying the ground work of the services that I want to offer. Then my next step is to get a website up. My goal is to have both done in less than a month. I am joining a BNI networking group to help establish myself, plus I want to write a series of articles and see if one of my local newspapers will pick them up in exchange for a resource box with my contact information.

To start I was going to pick a few businesses and put up sites for free. Then once they are on the first page of the search engines I was going to require 3 references. I read the forum thread about The Light Bulb Effect and might integrate that with my idea. That way I am getting some money for my efforts!

I have other sites that I work on as well...two are services and some of them are Amazon sites. I am also going to work on these once my main website is up and running. One of my service sites is getting some traffic, but not converting very well. That will be my main goal once my local site is up and running.

My financial goal for 2012 is $30k.

I'd love to join the challenge! My goal for the next 12 months is 60k I made a little less than half that last year, but I want to get pumped up and do even better this time around. I've been doing writing and niche creation for others this past year, but it's just not feasible to keep working for others any longer when I know how to link build, write content and build sites of my own Woo! 2012 is gonna be the year of awesome for all of us!

I want to up my target to $30,000 by the end of 2012.

If im going to dream i might aswell dream big. I think a larger target will inspire me more, and give me a kick up the backside!

I just updated my blog with my challenge roundup for January. It's been a bit of a slow start to the year I must say. I'm running into a similar problem to Eddie insofar as time available to work on my online projects. Most of the day is taken up by my main commitment, my offline marketing business. Still, I get about 3-4 hours of work in most evenings.

I'm fairly pleased with what I've done this month, if only to the extent that I'm heading in the right direction and have a very clear plan of what I need to do and how I'm going to do it. It's amazing how clear things become when you know exactly what you need to do to achieve a goal.

How's everyone else been doing? Hope you had a good start to the year too.

I keep hitting speed bumps. I just have to remind myself that this is a learning experience and that I'll be able to run things more smoothly in the future.

Kinda hard to not be impatient when every week I think "this will be the day" that I finally launch, then a hurdle seemingly falls from the sky. Sometimes it's technical issues, this time it's a waiting period for something I'm trying to get.

Hey everyone

So far, I earned about $140 dollars (mostly from Fiverr at the moment) since my website isn't completely launched yet (still writing articles for my niche blogs...was getting lots of big requests via Fiverr on top of school...February is only going to get worse in terms of workload at school :\ )

So we'll see what happens The review blog that my friend and I opened up earlier in January has been getting some occasional affiliate commissions (twice actually since we started almost a month ago, so we must be doing something right!)

I've been getting ideas in my head, too, and I hope by the end of the year, I might be able to create my own visual novel game to sell depending on the artwork (I either have to make a deal with someone or improve my skills in computer-graphics (CG) art...)

Hope everyone is doing well...

Just wanted to say what seems to be keeping me accountable and on track is blogging about my progress at least 3x a week. It keeps me focused. I will launch my 2 websites by the end of this month. Excited!

Very interesting. I was expecting to get some more details. It seems like it is only motivational. Is there somewhere that you are showing more about what you are doing?

Is this challenge still going? Would be good to see how you're going, what you're doing and what's working, or not working.

Jeff.

Hi I am a newbie here. But would love to join the challenge. I was thinking about a website to promote Facebook Fan Pages to the Local Community. I live in Vancouver. Any mentoring or help would be highly appreciated. Thank you to everyone.

Hey Malikl. Are you brand new to making those pages or what? I would love to help you. I am new to the Warrior Forum and I'm in the middle of creating a new info product. I own a business currently that does what you are talking about. I can give you some helpful advice. I don't have PMs yet so I'm going to put my skype id on here its ryankjones1.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Seems like this challenge has lost some momentum. I'm still in there. And have started making profit on my 1st website. Here is an update I have copy-pasted from my last blog entry:

As of right now all 3 keywords are at the #2-3 position on google. My goal is to get all three keywords at the #1 position. For the past 7 days i’ve made $2 per day from this website and the traffic has been about 100 visitors per day. That is less then $.10 per visitor(my goal for each site is to make at the minimum $.10 per visitor) which isn’t that great. But this first site has been a learning experience. It shows that this really DOES work. Here are the lessons I have learned from Website 1:
  1. The EPC for my keywords are very low. They are less then $1 which is the main reason why my earnings are low. My Click through rate is high (7.98% for the past week) but the epc is so low.
  2. The niche I picked isnt hungry enough. Most people surfing for the product/information I am giving aren’t in a rush to buy. Even though the products I have reviewed are $500+, more then likely they are not going to buy right away.
  3. This brings me to point #3. Because people arent in a rush to buy they are more then likely going to be surfing and looking for more information then is provided on my website. Therefore google adwords works well in my favor.
The next adsense site I have planned has a higher EPC ($20.00 +) for the keywords I am targeting. And I plan to launch that site in April. Right now I am working on a Clickbank (website 2) and a CPA(website 3) site.

Once my site gets to #1 for all 3 keywords, I will most likely try to find other keywords to target until website 1 can get me $20-30 a day.

This stuff works! Take action folks
Ciao.
