I was just reviewing this thread and it caught my attention, so I thought I'd share a tip that I've used successfully myself. One of my first paperback books was not in the IM niche but the idea may help people anyway, as it's a totally different marketing strategy than you would normally hear. 1) I published the guide I'd written using CreateSpace. This gave me a physical product (paperback book) to sell, which instantly gives it a far higher perceived value than if I'd just released it as an ebook. It also lets me use Amazon's payment and delivery system, bringing credibility to the book. 2) I copied the entire content of my book and posted it on Squidoo as a lens, so that anyone could read it without paying. 3) I added a button linking to the Amazon page where the paperback was sold, then told them that if they wanted a physical copy of the guide, they could buy it on Amazon. 4) I contacted 1 blog that was in the same niche as my book, and asked if I could write a guest post. He said yes, and soon after I'd written it another blog asked me if I could write a guest post. This started the traffic flowing. Following this, the Squidoo lens was listed on many blogs and websites as a valuable resource, and has loads of recommendations and links from places I've never heard of. The book not only started selling, it has continued to sell for several years. All through the power of giving, without restriction. When you give something away and ask for nothing in return, sometimes you get more back than you could have hoped for. |

Create youtube videos that give away information given in the book, and then talk about the book in the videos too and include a link.

Do a short video offering tips/value based on the book and upload to YouTube; then, pin the YouTube video to Pinterest (and of course, have your Pinterest account connected to your Facebook - so it also posts to your wall).

Hello MartinBuckley, With an ebook that has a feature product such as yours, like a drill, you could approach your local hardware store and ask if you could do a short 15 - 30min presentation in their store using the tool and any sales of the book made via the store you share a small percentage of the profit. In the presentation, feature a couple of the ideas from the book to promote it. You could also try to arrange a deal with the store, get the book and 'this amazing drill' for $$$. |

I was saw some people try to sell their ebook by giving away a sample of the ebook that they wanted to sell.. Maybe first chapter of your ebook should be a nice one.. So, some of your potential buyer will have an imagination about the book that they will buy.. Or you can upload a video on youtube about your ebook.. It will give you a free traffic to your website.. I know that I'm just a beginner in IM,, but i saw many people do what I mentioned above ![]() |

Create Youtube videos promoting your ebook, add articles to Squidoo, Hubpages and Ezine all pointing to your ebook. This should get you a few sales, depending on the rank of your articles and videos.

Create a great image for Pinterest. Include a worthwhile quote from your book. i.e. a sassy line from a character; a memorable description; a valuable tip; or an inspiring image that reflects the book content. Whatever you choose as your "image", think of it as a teaser or trailer for your book. Joyfully, Janet |

I would personally use facebook ads. When well tweaked, I manage to pay around $0.01 per thousand views and I generally get good results ![]() |

Here are my ideas 1. Create FB posters with the quotes from the book. 2. Share it in your FB page and upload also in your pinterest account. 3. Create a 30 second video in you tube or animoto using the images you made and share it in your personal FB page and business page. 4. Look for FB groups related to your niche and share your video link there. 5. Tweet your video link. |

1. Have seriously awesome content (it's been said before, but NEEDS to be reiterated). 2. Needs to have a decent amount of testimonials BEFORE launch (yes, that means getting that at the WFH section). 3. Could have a lower-priced eBook come free with the purchase of the higher-priced eBook. 4. Free membership to forum where topics in eBook is discussed. 5. Build a targeted list. Market the eBook to them. Hope that helps (I'm not gonna lie, I shared these tips for that free ebook and so did (nearly) everybody else ![]() Regards, JR John |

1. Market it on Amazon Kindle which is especially valuable for new authors. You won't have to use a publisher and you will get 70% of the royalty. Include a great review at the beginning of the description to entice people to read more and buy. 2. Write a blog post or create a video that includes at least one chapter or a teaser of what to expect. Build urgency and they will come! |

Well, I've sold my ebook about SEO in my local area using a simple method at that time. I was created a single page website and an article about a lot of SEO basic that are easy to follow. I taught them in an article about SEO basic. And simply put my ebook order link below that article using this sentence : "There are a lot of things I can teach you about SEO and also a quick way to dominate your online market, but it will be a trouble if other people (especially your competitors) know about it too if I share it here, right? If you want to know more, you can learn it directly inside my full ebook, only a small investments (for buying some coffee stock) and it will change everything. Click order button below to grab it now, or maybe you want your competitors grab it first?" Some kind like that. So I impress them with my article first and offer them something more in exchange of "coffee stock" to make it sounds cheap. ![]() |
