Wow its my 1,000 post. What a milestone ,uh ?? Yeah right just ask people like Wags or Paul Myers who have well over 12,000 posts !! lol I know its not that big of a deal and it should have come sooner. I got sidetracked by my business and personal things in my Life. Am I glad that I found this place back in March 2008 ? Heck yes I am This has been a breeding ground for great thinkers with great ideas and experiences to share with others. Of course, there are always some bad apples in the bunch. But if you wade through this crap you will find many Gold Nuggets in here. I sure have and I am still benefiting from them today. I picked my business model a few years ago after coming here to Warrior. Its had its shares of ups and downs, high and lows ,successes and failures but in the long run it has come out on top. At least by my standards. I think Warrior has taught me to choose from one of literally hundreds of IM business Models and to stick with it and learn it inside out and give it at least a couple of years before trying anything else. Make sure it fits your style. With me Blogging did just that. Also a seemingly small but important issue I learned at Warrior is that you do not have to have Passion for your particular Niche in of itself. Its great if you do ( with three of mine I do have) but starting a new online business and seeing it grow and making it happen and participating in this whole process and supporting you family with this; well to me that is the greatest Passion of all Lastly, Warrior Forum has taught me to keep my writing skills sharp. This may sound like no big deal, but it is ! Its funny but in a way the internet and other technology has been of great benefit to Society. But I believe it is a double edge sword. For instance, Twitter, phone Texting, Face booking, emailing are great forms of quick communication between people. But in a sense they have also taken the art of good and well thought out writing. They have have made the younger generation and even my generation somewhat lackadaisical and just plain lazy in their writing skills. A lot of them forget the important rudiments of good writing altogether. Instead they shoot over a two word email or rely on Twitter or Texting as their only way to communicate to people. Its a shame, really. My mother has no clue how to use an computer and email or any of this stuff. But sure enough every Christmas she hand writes Cards to over 100 friends with at least two long paragraphs in each letter. She is 78 years old and is smart as a whip and on top of her game. Maybe we should sometimes go back and do things like this every once in awhile. Write a letter to a friend or even when you email someone write a couple of nice long well thought out paragraphs. I think it shows a bit of class and credibility and it keeps our minds sharper as we get older. It also gets us back to our old school roots of English 101. Which is definitely not a bad thing. Anyway, I just want to thank a few people here at Warrior for reinforcing to me the merits of skillful and articulate (and many times lengthy) writing. They include Dan Rinnert, Alexa Smith, John Macabe, Allen Says, Kelly Felix, Mike Long, Ex Rat, Matlaclear, Kay King, Cdarklock, Paul Taylor, Paul Myers, John Romaniello, Andy Henry, Myob, Wags, Steve Fullman, Eric Louviere , Ron Douglas, Michael Oksa and many more I cannot think of at this very moment. (and I apologize for that.) It's really been very beneficial and special for me to be associated with Warrior Forum and the people here. I consider it a honor to be a Warrior !! And out of gratitude for what the Warrior Forum has done for me, I will do something that I hope the Moderators will allow. If not that's cool, and I understand. The first person who writes a really good reply to this Post telling everyone what Warrior Forum has meant to them in a articulate and Cohesive manner with a little length to it will get $20 to their Paypal account from my account. It it is just for people who have been a Member here less than a year with at least 50 posts. Maybe it might help them out with getting a article or two or maybe buy them a trial membership to a site that will help their Online Business. Even put a partial payment towards War Room. Every little bit can help. Once again thanks to all you guys here at Warrior. And BTW I know I am not a perfect writer whatsoever. As a result , you may see some typos and run on sentences or a comma missed here or there etc..etc..in my Post. You can point them out if you wish ,but all I can say is at least I try ! Sincerely, Robert Andrew (a.k.a discrat) |

Hey, you've been around just a little bit longer than me! It's funny though because I've been visiting the forum as a non-member for years now, and just recently I decided to join. So far I have to say it's been a very smart move on my part, and I've found there's a lot of great people here to learn from. So congrats on the one thousandth post! I look forward to getting there myself one of these days! |

@ Robert - Congrats on your 1,000th post! Looking forward to many more to come. @ Sid - You have come a long way. It may have taken a while, but I'm happy to see the tons of advice you received finally sank in. You have a lot of people cheering for your success, and I'm one of them. @ Ron - At your current pace it will take about another 142 days. All the best, Michael |

Congratulations Robert! I have learned so much on this forum and now I am making a conscious effort to be more helpful. I realized that I do know quite a bit about various types of marketing (direct, mobile, internet, etc) and can help others who have questions. When I first came to the Warrior Forum I felt like a total newbie and didn't think I had anything valuable to say but now I am more confident when I see some of the questions - and I don't mean that in a bad way! LOL I just mean that I read some questions and immediately think, "Oh I can help with that." So... thank you guys! |

Although I'm not the first to reply I thought I'd take this opportunity to share. Well you did ask after all, and it's not all about the money! Is it? I found the Warrior Forum only a matter of months after I decided to take my first step towards Internet Marketing. It wasnt really a step though , more of a stumble. Useing the World wide web looking for ways to top up my weekly wage to ease the pressures of life with a young family; I came across a method that applealed to me. Aritcle Marketing and monetizeing with Clickbank! The method was writing 500 word articles and banging them on EA and other article directories and waiting for the money to roll in. Well, needless to say that it has proved not to be that easy. This forum, some of the people you mention above (some you haven't) have taught me that this is not Article Marketing and I have thankfully adjusted my tactics. After discovering these Article Marketing Mavericks and their inciteful informative interludes with the public forum, I have found writing more enjoyable and learnt/ed that my writing is constantly improving with practise. Anyway Congrats on the post, was a good read! I must get back to work |

@Robert - congratulations on your 1,000th post! I have also benefited tremendously from Warrior Forum and I especially love feeling part of a community. I've only been here for a week or so and I'm sure I will continue to benefit and will impart to others what I've learned. I'm not thinking ahead to my 1,000th post - that seems like a really long way away, but who knows? Before I know it, I'll be posting my reflections on the Warrior Forum post my 1,000th post! |

Discrat I don't think I have ever seen you around WF before but you seem like a really nice guy, loved reading your thread and it is all true. Especially the part about the writing. Even though I have not put into action half of the stuff I have read on WF I think that the fact it feels like a community is also a great thing. It feels like a town to me. Sure I have my run ins with the Mods, but they are just the police, looking to keep everything good and safe around here. Then you got your spammers, but there just passing through and are gone soon after, but most importantly you have your colleges and even if you don't work with them, they still feel like colleges as they do a similar thing to you, even though they may live the opposite side of the world to you. That's another thing I love you can speak with people from all across the world. Heck you can work with people who live in a different continent and get to know them outside of I.M. To quote Flo Rida WF is just a good feeling..... P.S. Whoever gets the $20 I think should buy the War room membership if they can afford it, so great information on there! |

Thanks for all the replies. I will give it a few more days to see if we get any more Newbies who desire to express in an articulate manner what the WF means to them and how it has helped them. ( at least two paragraphs minimum) And like I said the best one will receive $20 from my Paypal to yours. I really would like to see some more. So come on guys Thanks again as we have had some good ones already ! Robert |

Congratulations Robert! Reading about your 1000th post has prompted me to write my first...thanks for the nudge I've been reading the warrior forum for over a year and finally joined in April but had yet to get my feet wet. I do agree with your comments about the change sites like twitter and facebook have made to the way people write. Thankfully, my two 17 year olds agree as well and still pay attention to their grammar and the quality of what they write online. Oh and by the way, my 79 year old mother is better at some things on her computer than I am... video editing for example. Although, I'm the one that comes to the rescue when it crashes. Thanks for the great post...I look forward to reading more from you in the future and I will be sure to check out some of the names you mentioned for further reading. KeWi. |

Hey guys, Congratulate Lucas for his winning post in my $20.00 contest. As I mentioned at the top of the Thread, I would give $20 to the best and most well thought out Post mentioning what the Warrior Forum has meant to them. There were some other really good ones. But his stood out for a newbie . Oh BTW, this is Lucas first time of earning anything online. So keep it going Lucas, you are on the right path ! Once again Congrats, Robert

I checked my Paypal account to make sure I wasn't getting pranked. As I told Discrat in the PM, this is the first earnings of my IM career....SO I'm pretty excited I have learned quite a lot from the WF and believe I have a solid plan in place to start my business. I've noticed lately that when I come WF I seem to spend my time just reading thread after thread just for the sake of it. As many have said before, this place is addictive! So since I believe I've learned all I need to know (for NOW!) I've decided to stay away from the WF for a little while and concentrate on getting some productive work done. Thanks again Robert for your thread and the 20 big ones Lucas

I guess what I should say is that Posts counting should not really be your goal. Rather giving people advice or getting involved with some of the topics and learning or just saying thanks to those who have helped should be your goal. So all this Post counting is something that is a byproduct of being part of a great community with incredible IM minds (and incredible Minds outside of IM too) and participating in it |

@Robert - It was a good read - you are right, people need to be more articulate - it doesn't really matter whether they write a 200 lines post, a few lines are good enough - if they are meaningful. Congratulations on making the 1000th post. I wonder, when I will be writing mine? Cheerios, Devin |
