30 Day Article Writing Challenge - DAY TWENTY

Wow - Only 10 days to go. In the beginning it felt like ages away but now the time is slipping by.

I got my article written up for today. It is time for me to do add more content to my Halloween site so that is my goal for the rest of the day.

Not as much as I would have liked, but still a decent amount. The articles for my client were very simple and require no research or anything. They only took me 15-20 minutes each to write.

For this challenge, I'm only counting content I write for my own site. Hopefully it will motivate me to spend more time on my own projects rather than only writing for clients.

Produced my article for today, which is the first for in the "High Blood Pressure PLR" package.

While it's not a topic I particularly care for, it was requested so I aim to get it completed.

Just back from taking our son to a heritage railway up in the mountains here, great fun and the rain held off until we were coming back in the car.

Now I'm at home, I just knocked out an article on goal setting for a PLR pack I'm working on. I'll write the rest of the pack tonight. Four more articles today and I'll be caught up with the challenge! :-)

30 Day Article Writing Challenge - DAY 21

Just finished the 2nd article for the "High Blood Pressure PLR" package I'm working on.

Since I'm leaving for vacation this weekend, I'm not certain I will be writing next week (as the partner has made plans for us to take boat rides, etc.) and I haven't found out if there's WiFi access at the cabin. Still waiting for them to call me back!

So the rest of today and tomorrow, I will shift my schedule to continue writing as much as I can to finish articles before I leave for Lake Superior.

My apologies, Victoria! I totally forgot about the planned vacation.

OK, I wrote one article for the PLR pack and then got my teeth into a bunch of satirical articles for a spoof news website. I obviously had lots to say because I've just finished up the third of those articles :-) I am officially caught up with this Challenge! Yay me!

I've been busy with the reboot of my IM site too, and I prepped the outlines for nine articles there. I guess one per day will take me through a good chunk of the rest of this Challenge.

Busy day. I completed quite a few articles for a few different clients. In addition, I (finally) added an opt-in box for my email list (better late than never!). I did have a quick question on this whole list thing though. Should I be sending out an email to my list every time I make a new post, or should this be reserved only for 'special' announcements? Any tips on how to best use a list would be most appreciated (even if this thread isn't the best place to ask.)

Good job on adding your opt-in box. I would push it to the top of your blog so that it is the first thing people see.

It is up to you how often you mail your list. Some people do it daily, some when they have a new blog post and others one a week. Try the different options to see what feels appropriate.

I have returned from my mini-vacation relaxed and ready to write!

I might be a little late to the party, but I've managed to not only pump out 28 articles this month, but finished up and released one of my Kindle books as well!

You guys should consider taking the challenge into September, too! I've got plenty of stuff to write and another Kindle book that needs wrapped up towards the end of next month. If you end up opening a thread, I'm in! Nothing like a little accountability to help me kick things up a few notches

Ok, I apologise for going quiet and I haven't let the hordes of family that are staying with us these last four days stop me from writing.

I've been writing two per day :-) Very pleased with that! Some of these articles have been hailed by my peers as my best work yet, which almost made me stop lol! how could I match that? Well, you'll be pleased to hear that I kept going.

I just wrote two new ones and published, and a third one is sitting in draft.

It's 2am and a bit late to start on an article for my PLR packs, and I'll get on to them tomorrow afternoon.

I haven't met my goals (not even close) but I'm trying!

I tend to research stuff to death before I start writing! Then, I spend 2 - 3 days putting pen to paper, letting it breathe, editing, breathing, editing ... until I feel that it is flowing smoothly and conveying what I want to say without a lot of fluff.

Last week I wrote a 1,400 word article for my niche site, then re-wrote that article and posted it on a new Web 2.0 property. I'm thinking about maybe submitting it to EzineArticles too but I want it indexed on my own domain first.

The articles I posted to my niche site (last week) and Blogger (a few days ago) haven't been indexed by Google. I hate that it's taking so long for them to be indexed. I'll keep tabs on it in order to determine if there is a problem with the content. With all the recent animal updates (Panda, Penguin, etc.), who knows! :rolleyes:

I must say, though, this challenge has been motivating. The rest of you guys have really motivated and inspired me to keep the fire burning.

We have all managed to produce a fantastic amount of content. Yippee!

My Articles for Day Twenty Seven
I have written two articles today. One was written off the top of my head and the other was a mash-up of info that I already had but that I edited it so thta I could repurpose it and use on another site.

A SEPTEMBER WRITING CHALLENGE
I think that it is a great idea to continue of with a September challenge but I want to be sure that I fully utilise all the content I have now. It is no good having 2 months worth of articles just sitting on my hard-drive. Gotta get that content working for me.

So if someone else wants to start up a September Challenge, step up and get a thread started. It took a few days for the moderators to publish this thread so now is a good time to set it up.

3 more article writing days to go before the challenge ends.
