Hello and Welcome To My New Challenge. (personal) Well because I now have more time for hobbies etc as IM stuff is going fairly well, I decided to create a personal challenge. I want to have 5k subscribers on Youtube within 60 days. More on that specific number a bit later. So anyway, I'm creating a niche Youtube channel (About a game), and will be creating a lot of quality videos for that game, from tutorials to vlogs. Bear in mind, I have done this before, but i managed to get the channel banned for copyright music. This was back when I was still at school though, so I had no idea about that kind of stuff until it was too late. (The channel earned a nice bit back then as well). So because I have done this before, there is really no excuse for me to slack on the production side of things, because it's super easy to do for me at least. So anyway, on to the whole 5k subs thing. Because I'm a Gaming/Community channel, there is an opportunity for me to join a CPM network. These are basically companies that will pay you an exact amount per 1k views that your channel gets overall. These are quite prestige, but I'v got in before, and I can do it again. Back then, I joined a really bad RPM network, and got stuck with really bad earnings for that channel compared to what it could have been. I researched the network who I want to partner with this time, and they offer a flat $3 per 1000 views overall, RPM is not taken into it. So if I get 10,000 views a day by the time i get to 5k subscribers, the network will pay me exactly $30 per day. They pay this amount (above average for most networks) because they know that the quality of a gaming channel is actually based on the number of subscribers, and because they have only high quality gaming channels in there network, they can charge premium ammounts to serve those channels with ads from companies like SONY, Rockstar, FIFA etc. So because I let you in on the Background of this challenge, you can understand why you wont see any earnings until I reach 5k subscribers(as if I joined a network with a lower requirement, I would be locked in for a year). I will however keep you updated along the way with new subscriber counts and view counts, and this challenge will end when I get to 5000 subscribers, but I'll carry on with it anyway. Funnily enough however, I'm going to be trying to get those subscribers with more views though. So anyway, If anyone has any questions ask and I'l try and answer them as best I can. |

If you run ads on your own videos, you're going to make a minimum of $3 on 1,000 views. Do you need to join a network because they're gaming videos? I don't know much about gaming videos in particular, but have you considered running ads on gaming channels similar to yours? You can run YouTube ads for as low as 2 cents per click and target ONLY channels that you are really similar to yours. So that way only people who would be really likely to be interested in what you're doing would be seeing the ads. At 2 cents each, it might be worth the investment. Oh, and good luck! |

I don't think it is possible within 60 days. When u work smart you can reach 5K Subscribers.

For comparison, I've been running my youtube channel for around 8 months and have just short of 2k subscribers. Although I've just been adding videos and figuring it out as I go and not really marketed it at all. www.youtube.com/RichardFletcherConfidenceCoach if you're interested. Anyone else use YT a lot on here? |

Hello, I'm curious to know how did you achieve your challenge. I would like also to know your method of attracting people to your channel. I have a channel since 2013 and just 20 subscribers with only 19 videos if you want to have a look : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQH...2WLxlFfJzk_fow |
