Just got my first two articles published by the same site. She loved them and even put the link to my EzineArticles portfolio below my resource box on her site! I know it's only two articles, but these are the first steps of the new journey and it feels good to show some progress. Onward and upward! :-) |

| DAY 41 9 more emails sent. I'm getting replies here and there. The website I offered to write for (uniquely) which is strongly targeted to my niche is interested in the topic I offered to write about. It won't be long now! I'm going to publish all my articles to EzineArticles right now! |

Alast, I do not know how you do it. How do you keep motivated? You are very consistent and do not appear to get discourage easily. I am inspired by this thread that you have started. I am familiar also with Article Syndication after following the post by Alexa and other persons. At least you showed by example that Article Syndication can work, if you are persistent. Keep posting please. It will inspire others. Andrew

It definitely works. I have had over 450 unique visitors and 14 subscribers. I guess I have just been 'unlucky' with my articles thus far. I still have my articles published in roughly 10-20 websites now, which is reassuring! I'm glad I have been able to inspire you - and possibly other people.

| DAY 42 I have sent 29 new emails today. In addition, another one of my articles was published on a website due to positive results on the first article. The website owner will be directing their audience back to my website from now on through both their articles and my articles on this topic. I haven't seen any traffic from this website unfortunately, although I know the website is active and targeted; just haven't been lucky, I guess. I have had two of my articles accepted to EzineArticles. I got lazy, so I still have two more to publish. Finally, I will be writing a unique article for my affiliate vendor's website. I really hope to see positive results from that! Traffic Update: |

| DAY 43 I sent a total of 12 new emails today. From the last batch of 29 I sent, only 1 has responded so far - rejecting the article. I have written a 'draft' article for my affiliate vendor. Just awaiting a response now. Today seems to be extremely quiet. Maybe it's because it's the weekend. |

| DAY 44 I started on another article (100~ words to be exact), but lacked motivation to do much due to lack of response I have been getting. Out of the last 54 emails I have sent, I have only received one response. I have no idea why; apparently my emails ARE sending. Very concerning, especially as I have done nothing noticeably wrong? |

The same thing has been happening to me, but I haven't even begun to tap into the lateral keywords in the niches I'm in, so I have no doubt that I'll get more responses, it's just going to take time. I don't know what niche you're in, though. That's none of my business. I just chose two niches that were VERY broad and HUGE! I'm having my helper go through and contact everyone again and again until they say to stop. Sometimes it takes several times to get someone's attention. I'm also going to start looking into different resources like newsletters, YouTube and many others. Persistence pays.

Alast / Joe, How are you sending your emails out to acquire syndication partners? Are you sending individuals email to each person, or are you using some sort of autoresponder to bulk email to prospective syndication partners? Andrew |

Yes, you have to send them individually. Also, you need to take the time to read some of the content on each site so you can comment on it, tell them what you like about it, etc. It's time consuming, that's why I have someone else doing a lot of it for me, but over time it will begin to gain momentum. I suggest you go to the main forum and do a search for article syndication and read everything you can find from people like Alexa Smith, MYOB, John McCabe and others. There's a LOT of excellent information there that you can access for free. HTH

I wrote a template that's interchangeable in a couple places so my helper can actually read through the content and fill in those areas accordingly without having to constantly write new emails. I receive all replies in the shared email inbox so I can see what she's writing. It's working out alright so far.

| DAY 45 I managed to send 28 new emails today. So far I have already received two responses. I'm thinking maybe the end of the week is not the best time to send emails, maybe? It could be the solution to why nobody has been responding to me. I guess time will tell. Also - I GOT ANOTHER SUBSCRIBER! First one in weeks. Not much else has happened, unfortunately. Alast / Joe, Thanks for the reply. Alast, I have no easier way. Just though that you guys found an easier way to send out email to prospective syndication partners. Thanks also for the suggestion Joe. I think I have read most of the information here on Article Syndication. Every time Alexa and the other post on this topic I waste no time reading. Alast I see you got another subscriber. Persistent does pay off. Andrew |

| DAY 46 I got two subscribers today. One decided to unsubscribe after getting the free eBook right away, and the other is from someone I emailed about article syndication. I have received more responses today (5-10) and have a few who have published/are going to publish my article. Starting to look good now! Today I managed to email just 12 more websites. I have now officially emailed over 500 unique websites! (yay) Speaking of 500: I cracked the 500 unique visitors to my website. Keeping in mind roughly half were from people who I sent emails to. Maybe 500 will be a good checkpoint for me; where things REALLY start to pick up? EDIT: Since the night isn't over, I'll just say that I have just received my third subscriber for today! |

I've been doing article syndication for a few years, and have developed relationships with syndication partners. If you're going to approach high ranking sites in your niche wanting them to post your articles, then you'd better be prepared to offer them super high quality articles of at least a 1000 words. Then they might think about accepting what you offer Don't even bother trying to send 500 words articles. They'll get knocked based most of the time. |

| DAY 47 Today has been a good day for me. I have had more than 50 unique visitors come to my website, and 8 more subscribers! That brings my total to 23. I have managed to send 33 new emails out, and have had one response already, denying my article as it's not unique. Nonetheless, I hope I get a good amount of responses from this batch. |

I've only gotten 15 replies so far, a few published and zero subscribers. I haven't been doing it very long, though. Actually, I got a sale for a $63.00 commission in May! I never received a notice, though. I was just checking my traffic stats yesterday and there it was. I have a toll free number from my past success with this company so the customer likely called in. I have my helper going back through the first lists of websites and focusing on those with contact forms. I don't expect as much of a response from those but I'm trying to be thorough. I'm going to have her sign up for multiple newsletters next week so we can read at least a couple issues before we approach the list owners about publishing my content. I'm also going to give her a break from the websites for a week and do videos, PDF's, etc. |

I just got a couple more publishers yesterday, too. One seems very enthusiastic about my articles, which makes me very enthusiastic too, even if I didn't write all of them. LOL I put my helper to work going through every English version of Google and researching websites from scratch. I'm not even 100% certain that she was using Google.com in her previous searches. I just left it alone and made sure that it was clear. There are multiple English speaking countries, so if you have an offer that isn't exclusive to your country I'd research the Google listing for every keyword phrase in every country listing, or outsource it. I'm pretty sure the primary English speaking countries are the USA, Canada, Australia, U.K., New Zealand and Ireland. That should bring up a LOT of options! |

I'm going to have my helper start mixing things up as far as syndicating goes. As I mentioned before, there are a TON of potential keyword phrases that I still have to work through. Still, I also have a need for faster results. I'm going to use the things I mentioned before (video, PDF, etc) as well as newsletters. Newsletters provide much faster traffic than most websites or bogs will. That is, unless the blog gets a lot of traffic and you get your article on their home page. Still, I'm evaluating things as I go. I won't waste too much time on any one thing anymore. I've learned that lesson from past experience. Don't give up! You might want to re-evaluate your niche, your website, your call to action, even the emails you're sending. That's the one thing that makes article marketing so difficult - testing. I'm considering using some paid advertising to test my process and make sure it's effective.

| DAY 52 I have sent 50 new emails today. I think that is a record for the most sent in just one day. I have been getting responses here and there. I will have 3 articles published over the next week (I think). I'm not sure about a few though; they want a biography picture when I do not have one to use, unfortunately. Tomorrow I think would be a good time to send out second emails, and masses of them. In addition, I now have 30 subscribers. |

| DAY 53 I'm thinking I'm not getting many responses as a result of the long weekend. I have been getting a few here and there (maybe 5-10 in total over the last 3 days), but hopefully will start seeing more over the next few days. I say this because I sent a second email to around 150 websites today, as well as 14 new websites. I got my 31st subscriber today, which was from someone I emailed about an article; they want to read the product and will let me know what they think. In addition, I just checked, and I have had two clicked emails (they opened my links), so hopefully I might make a sale? I did get an article published today, but it hasn't given me any traffic unfortunately. |

Alast, Thanks for posting your progress.Very inspiring,. If you continue on this path you will soon have a very large subscriber list. One question about your present subscribers. Are they signing up from the articles that were syndicated? Or are you building a database of syndication partners? Andrew |

I'd just like to quickly update from the 150~ emails I just sent: A page with 150k Facebook users is going to publish my article, and another with 750k+ likes is also going to publish my article (hopefully!). I have already had 5-10 responses from the second emails. |

| Day 54 I resent the final emails to be up to the last 3 days. This consisted of 40~ emails being sent. Not much else has happened. I have really only have 3 out of 40 websites who have published my article(s) do much significance, which is essentially 3/700+ websites I have sent emails to. I guess it's depressing and I am at loss of motivation, unfortunately. I'm disappointed that I have yet to make a sale. |

| DAY 55 I have mainly been responding to emails the past two days. I have decided that I will resend an email to groups on day 3, each day, to keep up to date (if that makes sense). Instead of waiting a month to begin re sending emails. My second article has been published on a relatively popular website, and has given me 2 subscribers so far. I believe that pushes me up to a total of 33 subscribers. I have had numerous websites accept/decline my articles the past few days; no real results so far. I am still in the "I have little motivation" stages right now. I feel as though I am far behind where I want to be at right now. Not one sale, only 33 subscribers, and am only getting traffic upon initial publication. |

Alast, At least you have the courage to truthfully post your results. 33 subscribers is not so bad at all especially since you have only recently started this journey with syndication. Hopefully sales will come very soon. When your subscriber opts-in do you offer them any products or service afterwards on the page that they land on, after they confirms? |

Right now, I would rather not do that as it may come across as 'salesy'. People who subscribe will receive product offers on their second email, so they will see the offer regardless; so it shouldn't matter? |

Alast, Your thread is amazing and inspring. It has inspired me to give it a try myself after folowing you thru this. I have my articles and everything ready for me to start sending out the emails. I was wondering if you had any tips on anything you wish you knew two months ago other than all the great information I have been reading from others. Also, when you look for potential website to email, I notice that you are getting them mostly thru searches. Are you just searching a keyword and going through the pages looking for email adresses? Or is their a better way to do this? Thanks for all this great insperation, you are doing great! Josh |

I would definitely be more organised with my work. By that, I mean making sure I have organised my word documents with the websites from the very start, with a set of color codes which signify the response of the website. In addition, including the dates I sent the emails of each batch. I guess I just learnt that from experience. I find my websites solely through Google search. I find keywords associated with my niche and use those. The most slight adjustment to the Google search can open a whole new world of results, surprisingly. Also - I use the following list of search methods: [niche keyword phrase] +”write for us” [niche keyword phrase] +”submit” [niche keyword phrase] +”author guidelines” [niche keyword phrase] +”writer guidelines” [niche keyword phrase] +”article submission” [niche keyword phrase] +”submit content” [niche keyword phrase] +”submit an article” [niche keyword phrase] +”author submission” [niche keyword phrase] +”article submission guidelines” [niche keyword phrase] +”online magazine” [niche keyword phrase] +”online newsletter” [niche keyword phrase] +”powered by WordPress” [niche keyword phrase] +”Article Source: http://ezinearticles.com” "we hate spam" "your email is safe" "we respect your privacy" "you can unsubscribe" "here to download" "we respect your email privacy" Hope this helps!

| DAY 56 I didn't do a whole lot today. I mainly responded to emails and updated my document with all my websites. The website with the large social media following decided my topic wasn't something that was working for their site, which is unfortunate. On the plus side: I have had a few other people willing to publish my article over the next few days. I now currently have 34 subscribers, no sales. Traffic update: |

| DAY 59 I have sent 17 more emails today. Already one has gotten back to me and accepted the article, which is a good start. In addition, I resent 8 emails; I'll have to hope for a good result. |

I'm still doing it too. I'm just kind of "hands off" with it because of my helper doing most of the work. I've had a few articles published, but not nearly as many responses as I thought I'd receive, especially considering the size of this market. After researching a few sites that I received replies from I decided to have my helper write unique articles for them. They're clearly getting decent traffic as they have several likes and tweets on certain posts. Most of them only require 500 words and a couple don't want more than 700 words. Only one wants 1000 words or more. No problem. As long as they're bringing in steady traffic I might be willing to do this 1-2 times per month. Next week I'm going to have her start repurposing the articles into different formats as well. I want things to start happening a bit faster. Newsletters are also on my "to-do" list. I'm also considering offline publications. Anyway, back to work I go... |
