Hi Warriors,

A couple of years ago, I've developed a social network for webmasters. Actually the project have never been with any commercial purpose, just pure enthusiasm.

Though I have to admit that my budget have always been low in terms of development and online marketing.

After 4 years, I think to try to sell it. The website is Webmaster Social Network, though I am not sure what would be a reasonable price to ask.

As I mentioned above, this social network have always run as non-commercial project, but there are many commercial hooks in place.

What do you think, what will be a reasonable price to ask?

Cheers
Kal

Hi Kalseo. There will be a lot of variables involved when trying to determine the price of the site like how many members, how much traffic and so forth You will need to present these numbers to the potential buyers in order for them to make a reasoned bid. Call it due diligence if you will. Do you have any such numbers handy?
    .

    I do like the layout.

    Cheers.

HostingHub is right - it is always difficult to place a value on a website when it hasn't been monetized. The only thing we can do is to look at what numbers do exist, then try to make reasonable guesses as to how that would monetize.

May I ask why you have never implemented any of the commercial hooks? Potential buyers would want to know this. If they are there, why not turn them on and start making money?

Hi kalseo, without knowing if you site has a regular and active user base I wouldn't put a good $$ in it. And my initial guess would be that there is none, as with the case with any other website. But anyway, ask for at least $1 000 000.

That would depend on how many members you have and how much it is actually used.
