I think you not use proper social media presence on channels like Twitter, Facebook, G+., LinkedIn , Pinterest etc. These social media websites easily rank on search engines if properly optimized.

Blogging: Use free blogging websites like wordpress, blogspot . Add unique content after regular intervals of time.

Image Sharing Profiles: Create profiles on image sharing websites like flickr, photobucket etc

Forums and communities: Keep participating discussions actively. Do not spam, just keep sharing your knowledge.

In short, SEO is not about increasing backlinks from any website, it is to increase the overall presence of website with right SEO techniques and from various authoritative sources.

Your not creating quality backlinks and your using to many anchor text. I would start at backlink diversity. Focus on 2-3 keywords per page, but the anchor text in backlinks need fixed. Improve your backlink strategy. Good Luck

first, you must sure that the keyword is correct, when the search engine browse your site, it can identify what kind of your site are through the keyword,second, you can make some links for your keyword, for example, if you are going to post some information on some forum, the link format must be like this url, if you post on blog, the format will be like this <a href=>keyword</a herf> third, you can register some account on some social media platform and submit your site on pinterest and directory. if you still have problem, i am glad to help you out

Since you're trying to rank 1 out of probably a million classified ads sites, you're going to face a mountain of competition. If you can think of a way to differentiate that site -- that is -- give it something that will separate it from all the others, you'll probably find some more appropriate keywords that will rank it for its uniqueness.

Social media profiles may rank on search themselves, so technically speaking you're correct. Since OP was looking for backlinks I just have to post this reminder: they're all nofollow. Do not think that the links from these sites help your money site.

Free websites only help if you build links to them too. New sites with no backlink profile do not bring any benefits.

No. It's pointless to build BS backlinks for no good reason. If you can access "various authoritative sources" you've got no need to play with "web 2.0" or waste time posting on forums. If you don't you still need to make sure that whatever you're doing works.

Completely agreed with his answer. And i can bet you dont know what is keyword research and competition. While your target market is India why you are targeting general keywords with massive competition? On the other hand you didnt optimize On page SEO for your website and start creating back links. And those forum, bookmark will not help you anymore if you want to work with these keywords. Try to fix your keywords first and start your SEO work from the beginning. Good luck...

Try Yoast Seo Plugin if you use Wordpress it might help!

Don't. This is bollocks. Do you really think that any educational institute or government site would link to your site? If that's the case why haven't you asked them already.

The links that edu/gov crowd is talking about? Low-quality, nofollow blog and forum spam.

Sites aren't "high PR". It's not "PageRank" just because of Larry Page... Even if the front page is very strong these services aren't linking to the page that your link lands on. This is true for all the sites mentioned here. Even if you've got a blog that you control it's likely that the link will fall of from the front page eventually.
