I want to list my website for sale on free market, but from previous experience. It doesn't seem worth it. Has anyone every ever made a successful sale on the site.

I am sure sales happen here for websites, but you need to make sure you are doing due diligence on the people that you are talking to. I'd be careful on profiles that have not been around for a while. And remember, I am sure lots of people are just as skeptical of listers of websites for sale in a forum just in general.

  I tried Flippa and Freemarket. Then I just started emailing people in my niche on the 5th page and on now I have 12 different bids.

Selling a working website especially on places like this one is very hard (:, and moreover, the price you will get here is not comparable to price of sale in other places , I mean not Internet Marketing forums, auctions etc. The best way to get fair price for a website is to find a buyer yourself, try to browse google results in your niche and find poorly designed, low traffic websites and propose the owners your one. The best deals are done that way, nevermind it is a website or anything else (:

i also listed my website on freemarket but didn't get any response but i sell my native advertising website with payclick native ads approved on it, on flippa a couple of days back.
