Hey gang,

My wife got into real estate, and I'm going to be put my best digital foot down to help her pull in leads.

So, I was wondering, if you had to start over or give advice for someone doing digital marketing for real estate, what would you do/say?

I can't wait to hear what you guys got! Thanks in advance.

    Well you can start with SEO and PPC both seo is a slow process and PPC is fast try local listing and social media it depends on your marketing budget.

    I would start off with building your own site/landing page to direct users to, to capture their info. Then I would first try craigslist since its free and if you have a budget, I would look into PPC (Google Adwords, Bing)

    In Southeast Asia, there's a network of property portals that do really well because of their mass SEO and SEM strategy. In Singapore, they're called PropertyGuru.com, in Thailand, DDProperty.com.

    In Indonesia, RumahDijual.com is a one-man show that, purely through SEO, beat its more well-funded competition in terms of traffic (read about it here: RumahDijual is disrupting Indonesia)

    I suggest you go beyond just loading up the content and actually start SEO-ing the portal, both in terms of internal linking structure (Silo structure) and also some backlinks pointing to just the homepage or the important category pages and let your own internal links lead the Google spider/bot in.

    The "hack" part of the strategy is to incentivise the agents/brokers/realtors who have already (or are going to) listed on your site to build links *for you* by blogging, sharing on social media or posting on other sites, linking to their listings on your site.

    In a sense, you are "crowdsourcing" the agents to build the backlinks for you.

    Create an SEO backlinking crash course of sorts for agents who list with you and give it to them for free as a gift for listing on your site.

      Look for companies that sell leads. I have used one in the past when wholesaling that was pretty great.

      Just research the company first because there are some pretty shady companies out there selling tossed around leads.

    Well people are using Websites, Classifieds, Paid advertisements now a days. I think you should start with free classifieds and local newspaper ads. after that you can move on to other methods like websites, advertisements. Good Luck !
