Growth Strategies for a Health blog?

Hey guys

I haven't been much active here since a long time and its time I get back to WForum.

I have started a health blog lately (7 months). It has 23 high quality articles with 1500 to 2000 words each.

Currently the traffic is around 6000 to 8000 hits per day with 78% of them from Google and the rest from Comments and Direct traffic. Avg daily email subscribers are 2-4. Avg daily income from Adsense is $5-9. No other monetising as yet.

I think its time to revamp the site. So I will be giving a look makeover (new theme) and a new logo. I will also be integrating a forum.

What are some things that I can do to further increase the traffic and engagement and income?

I don't have much financial resources at my end. I am going to continue to invest in great articles though.

How can I better monetise it with good quality ads other than Adsense? I want to make it an authority health blog.

How much time do you spend promoting the site? Do you do any link outreach? Can we get some more information about what you've done to drive traffic? That might help us offer solutions that aren't something you're already doing.

I don't promote at all. Everything is organic.

I am going to do a link outreach once the site is revived with new look and forum integration.

All I have done is write 23 absolutely great articles with complete information on that topic I am writing for. This has lead to some good ranking in SERPs (but need to do more to get it to top 3).

I have built some links using social media profiles and stuff.

The email subscribers (although very less), the facebook page likes, traffic.. everything is organic.

You are getting 6-8k impressions a day but only making $9? Ouch, that is not much $.
