Where to find affiliates?

10 replies
I have my own self hosted affiliate program and I'm trying to figure out where to recruit more affiliates. I have tried social media and Facebook groups but do you guys have any other ideas where to find affiliates to join?

  • Have you tried on Clickbank or JVZoo? Also, you can try in forums like here in WF, try putting up some ads for interested affiliates to look into.

    Here's a good thread with this same topic:http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post9479434

    Goodluck.

    Are affiliate directories something to consider? I googled some and they all look like they got stuck in the 90s.

      I haven't tried it. Better push your luck though, hope you find some answers in good ol' Google

    Try to get listed on MunchEye – I.M. Product Launch Calendar

    You can also see the upcoming launches there and contact people for JVs. If you promote them, most of them will return the favor. If you strike a deal with a "big one" you could get a huge number of sales, although you must have a good list yourself to reciprocate.

    I used to run my own affiliate software and although if you push it you can get people to sign up, you will struggle to get decent affiliates. Why? Because they don't trust you. They want a platform that is beyond reproach and whilst your intentions may well be completely honest, they don't care. They want the security of working through a brand like CJ etc.

    This is just my experience of running a self hosted affiliate program. YMMV.

  • You’re already on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and other social networks. Why not look for good affiliates there? Personal contacts on your social networks are more likely to create comments, ask intelligent questions about the launch or product, and most of all, they will have a trust factor with you.

    Look in the places where affiliates usually spend a lot of time and try to approach them:
    - online forums - affiliates usually spend a lot of time in forums discussing on various topics related to marketing.
    - affiliate directories;
    - affiliate networks - most popular affiliate networks have an existing database of active affiliates and you can join such networks which will feature your products in their marketplace;
    - one more trick to recruit a huge number of affiliates from these affiliate networks is to search for products similar to yours in the marketplace and approach the vendors of those products;
    - Join venture partnership announcement websites;

    These past days, I have been recruiting affiliates for our company. Here are some strategies I want to share with you. 1)search websites that are in line with your niche, 2)whois.com, 3)copy and paste the website's URL in the search tab 3) Get the registrant's name and registrant's email address, 4) message them personally. Make sure to make the message more personal.
