Enhancing content marketing with visuals.

I'm a bit of a HubSpot fiend at the moment, at the stage of the marketing journey that I'm on they provide lots of great information and I'm learning a lot.

Now, I know some of their articles might be a bit basic for some people, but that's the beauty of this forum; everyone has something to add and personal opinion provides even more useful knowledge than the technical stuff.

Anyway, I digress.

I came across this article and I thought I'd see if anyone has any feedback. It's a great article regarding the use of images in content marketing. Obviously, Infographics are the next big thing with DIY apps such as Canva providing easy-to-use templates, and there is no reason in the world that anything should be posted without an attractive, good quality image. This, we all know.

The article also goes on to talk about the use of data visualisation and GIFs to further encourage engagement and I was wondering if anyone has any stats and facts on how using these two methods has enhanced their campaigns?

With good, quality copy always being my priority, I've never paid too much attention to the visual side before (apart from basic images of course), so I was wondering, is now the time to start investing in the visual side of my content marketing?

Have a look at the article, and I'd love to hear of anyone's solid results to back up their views.

Visual content can help you position your brand as a cut above the rest. Content is simply more enjoyable when it is combined with compelling graphics and infographics. Consequently highly visual content is linked to and spread more often and this causes it to rank higher in Google.
