Help with marketing software

I have a social media scheduling software and I'm stuck as to where I should start. Should I get the offer converting well first before approaching an outsourced affiliate product manager? It only makes sense to do so. My budget is limited so I'm wondering what conversion do I need to get the product to in order to start an affiliate program for the software and begin joint ventures.

Also, what would be some viral techniques? Like releasing extra features for a social share, or one year free access for one or two referrals? That sorta of thing.

  • A specific conversion rate is not a requirement to move forward with affiliates. Conversion rates and how a product sells, what it is, the ticket price, etc are all factors. a lower conversion rate on an expensive product is expected, but might yield more income for the same efforts.

  • Hi thanks for responding. So if i approach an affiliate he'll base the product price first to the conversion rate to determine if it worth the effort of promoting it. I cant imagine an affiliate not wanting to know how the product has performed prior to agreeing to promote it. Besides considering the type of subscribers he has for my product to be a good fit.
