Anybody ever use this software?

autosocialposter dot com

I was googling for a plugin that would automatically bookmark your post to the popular social bookmarking sites... I knew there HAD to be one out there SOMEWHERE, because these plugins have gotten out of control.

Anyway... I fount this plug-in, and I was wondering if any of you have ever used it, and is it worth the money? It would sure as hell save LOTS of time if the plugin is worth a damm

Thanks,

DeShon

    Hey Deshon,

You should just use socialmarker. It's a free service and the only manual stuff you have to do is sign up for the social bookmarking sites that you want the service to submit your post to

    Hi DeShon,

At this time I wouldn't recommend it. I use many blogs from the stock theme install to a customizing with the Thesis theme. I avg about 60-70% success rate with it. I don't know what causes it to "error out" but not all the submissions go through.

I have had major problems with it here recently and contacted their support desk. Gavem them my blog login codes and also sent them all my log files. They basically came back and said there was nothing wrong and that it was my theme causing the problems... HUH??? A popular WP theme causes the plugin not to work. I call BS on that one.

Another time I made 2 posts and edited one of the posts. This was 9am in the morning. I have the plugin set to email a log of all the submissions. Nothing came to my email by 1pm so I made another post. This makes 4 total posts. 3 submissions and 1 edit (which shouldn't be resubmitted anyway) Well at 5:30pm I had 10 emails come in all at the same time! Somehow those 4 posts turned into 10 bookmark submissions. So now I was worried about losing my bookmarking accounts because the ASP plugin was spamming them with 10 bookmarks of all the same post.

I was POed at this plugin and wrote an email to support saying what the heck is going on with your plugin?!?!?!

They wrote back saying support was only good for 6 months and thye were basically just being nice to me and really didn't have to support me anymore. They never did help and blamed it on my blog and that there was nothing wrong with their plugin... Yeah right... whatever...

Since then I've been very gun shy about using ASP. I have to manually turn off the plugin so it doesn't make multiple bookmarks when editing a post and a few other quirks.

If it was just one or two blogs I might think it was something on my end... but I have many blogs and these problems happen on all of them! When it does work like it's suppose to... it's a good thing but when it screws up I don't want to lose my hard work that I've built up with my BM accounts!!!

It was good when it first came out but it only does about 30 accounts and they aren't as good as they used to be. As others have stated... many different and better ways to accurately bookmark your posts!

Make sure they have a return policy and test as much as possible within that timeframe. It might work great for you but I hardly use it anymore...

    Eric
