Hello,

Please which is better---submit articles to directories or just submit website information to directories/link directories. I am thinking of only submitting website information to directories only but dont know if that would bring in back links too

You can try digg, squidoo or something like that to submit your article. Ezine Article also a best option.

Personally, I use article directories. I submit first to EzineArticle and wait a few days or weeks then submit to the other top ones. This seems to work best at the moment cos when people read what you have to say about something you're promoting, they're more likely to click on the link you provide them if they find you interesting. Squidoo works too but takes more effort and a bit of knowledge.

Also, your niche (Dating) being a quite lucrative one, you can easily write 300-400 words articles and have them submitted to directories. Thing is article marketing is easier these days with all the automated systems in the market. So, I suggest you try submitting articles instead...

    All the best...!

P.S. To add to the above, if you write good articles, you can easily edit them and turn them into powerful Squidoo Lenses thereby, doubling your back links

I would suggest you submit articles to article directories. In particular, I would recommend you to go for EzineArticles. Somehow, in comparison to other article directories, Google seems to pay more attention to them.

My personal experience is that the articles that I have submitted are always showing in Google top10 for the keyword I targeted. Imagine, I have one targeted keyword listed first page of Google among 43,500,000 competing pages. EzineArticle is the best for targeting Google top10 position.

Another reason I recommend article submission because it sticks. It is very good for driving FREE traffic to your website.

Remember, what is Google business model? It is a search engine. And, a search engine provide relevant information to surfers. The more relevant information the better. If you have good articles, I tell you, Google will love you.

So, compare this with directory submission, which you can only write a paragraph or two about your site, and a link back. For SEO reason, article wins by a mile. Because, a decent article has about 400-500 texts, imagine the amount of keywords you can insert into the article, and the value (with informative contents) your provide to the readers. And, guess what, you can have two links back under the Resource Box section.:p

    Hope this help you.

Google is changing its site ranking algorithm, are you ready for this? You can take preventive measure now by changing your approach to site content creation.... start using LSI-based contents before your site's ranking starts dropping.
