Content Curation Software-Copyright issues?

I want to ask a question about using Content Curation Software. I know the main 2 that I am aware of are Curation Soft and Kundani. My question is that is it something that you can get in trouble for if you use it on your site. By trouble I mean Copyright Violation. Any feedback would be great.
Thanks

Yes, you can get into trouble! Although some licenses allow you to copy/paste the content provided you have a valid link, most of them don't.

But frankly no one cares. You must see the success stories of distractify, upworthy, viral nova et al. All of them copy content - dont think they take permissions for that, and have succeeded building millions of dollar businesses.

Curation works and works well - it does not mean that you will copy and paste all contents. Many of the copyrighted works allow you to critique the work by quoting images/passages from the work. You can curate content, share your opinion about them and link back to the original content for more reading.

You probably won't run into too many (if any) copyright issues so long as you give credit back to the source.
