Capturing Email on the Move!!! :)

Hey guys

I am just back from an event I did last night (I DJ).

Anyway for the first time I tried the Atom App from Aweber

This app allows you to use a device such as an iPad to collect email addresses ... so I tried it and it works a treat.

Here is what I did

1) Download the app on to my iPad
2) Created a bribe (a free DJ mix)
3) Waited until the dance floor was full
4) Asked the crowd who wanted a FREE mix in exchange for receiving my updates.
5) Got a friend to take round my iPad and let people enter their information.

Around 65 people entered their name and email and so far 39 have confirmed.

Conclusion this app works well in any live event scenario

For example
  • Brainstorming groups
  • Networking Meetings
  • Marketing Workshops
  • Niche related groups i.e. Dog Training Sessions

It can also be useful for bricks and mortar business owners
  • Reception Area
  • Shop floor
  • Presentation Meetings
  • Business Exhibitions

Really it is just a matter of using your imagination. I know I do a lot of real world networking and will be exploring how to use this app to its full potential.
