Best Coach for WSO/Product creation?

Hi All,

I want to put together and launch my first WSO, and I know I will need help to be successful with it. It is in a very specific offline niche, and it teaches how to create a business serving that niche. It is something I have many years of experience doing, so it isn't going to be just a short report.

I just want to make sure I do things right so I don't end up wasting my time creating this great big training program and get no sales.

I know there are at least a couple of Warriors who provide assistance with WSO creation. Does anyone have any personal recommendations?

Thanks Warriors!
BJ

Sorry I don't have a good answer for a coach. I know Amanda Craven has put out some good products on product creation, but I'm not sure if she offers coaching.

That said, I just wondered if you've spent any time to validate that their is a large enough market for your product to spend the time creating a detailed product around it.

I'd hate to see you spend the time and money to create a product that nobody wants or needs. I've been in that place. It's great to have affinity with your product, but it can be dangerous to create a product just because it's something you would buy. A lot of times what YOU would buy and what is generally valuable to others are very different things.

I hope all goes well for you. Best of luck!

Thanks for your response Entreprenerd. You make a good point about determining the demand for my info product. Another good reason why I need a coach.

I assume that there is a market because my WSO will be in the offline marketing niche, and I have seen many offline marketing WSOs have great success here on the WF.

Maybe there is a way to "test the waters" so to speak. I will do some research.

      Thanks!

The part that really concerned me is when you said your product is in a "very specific niche" of offline marketing. Offline Marketing is very lucrative and you'll see a lot of WSOs in it. Weight Loss is also a very lucrative niche, but creating a product called 7 Weight Loss Tips for Nuns is probably not going to do well because it's far too specific and the audience is probably not all that interested. Sometimes being too specific can be your downfall.

That might not be your case, but just wanted to warn of it.

PS: No offense intended to any of the nuns that are cruising the Warrior Forum :-)

7 weightloss tips to get rid of baby fat

7 weightloss tips for people who just quit smoking

7 weightloss tips to get rid of man boobs

          The list goes on

These are just as specific as the "Nun" analogy but all are very profitable. That is why much advice here at the forum and elsewhere can be a catch-22

Not to be contrary, but I'd have to disagree with an of those being as specific was weight loss tips for nuns. I didn't know the numbers so I did a quick check.

There are about 710,000 nuns WORLDWIDE. And I'm guessing a much smaller number of them are on the internet buying information products, let's say less than probably 10% or 71,000. And an even smaller number of those are searching for weight loss products, let's say another 10% or 7,100, etc..

Compare that to about 4 million pregnancies per year in the United States alone. 100% of those are women who are now heavier than they were before they got pregnant (ok, maybe 99.9%). And probably a very large majority would love to know how to get rid of the extra body fat that they've gained while pregnant.

About 42 million people in the United States alone currently smoke and about 42% of those people have tried to quit in the last year. That roughly 17 million people who at one time would have probably considered themselves someone who had quit or would at least like to know what people who have quit would do. Roughly 35% of population of the US is obese (not just a little fat, OBESE) that's 6 million people and the number one concern of people who want to quit smoking is that they'll gain weight. I'd say there's a fair audience there.

About 78.6 million adult people in the US alone are obese. Let's just split the middle and say half are men. That's about 40 million men. I think a pretty large percentage of 40 million obese men (with a much higher prevelance of man boobs) might be interested in how to get rid of man boobs.

The moral here is: until you've done the research you really don't how much of an audience you really have. Now we know (as I assumed earlier) that there are probably not a whole heck of a lot of nuns searching the internet for information products on how to lose weight. BUT, there ARE probably quite a few recently pregrnant women who WOULD love to know how.

            That was fun!

Except all of your examples were relevant and the "nun" example was not. Apples and oranges. I think entreprenerd made a very valid point about needing to do research first. That should be part of the process for any product you're entertaining the thought of creating.

    Hi BJ

Not coaching specifically but there are quite a few threads in the War Room with help creating and launching WSOs.

A lot of the "is there a market" depends on how you pitch it in your sales letter.

And how many affiliates you get on-board that actually promote.

Lots of variables but until you launch it, you'll never know.
