What is the difference between a CPA product and any other affiliate product like on Clickbank or JV Zoo?

CPA pay per sale just like an affiliate product would so what is the difference.

The reason I ask is because I see a lot of people here say others should promote a CPA and not an affiliate offer?

I am signed up with CashNetwork which is a CPA program and it acts the same as clickbank. I get paid when I make a sale....

  • CPA you don't have to make a sale, you get paid on action like just putting a zip code, on Click bank you have to sell to get paid. Selling is harder.

    Simple:

With CPA you get paid when someone enters their name and email. Usually you can get paid anywhere between $1-$5 per lead.

In Clickbank, you get paid when a sale is made. So when the person buys the product, you can earn anywhere between 50%-75% of the commission. So if the customer buys and spends $50 on the product, you get paid $25-$30 commission.

No refunds on CPA so you can get your numbers down to a science if you are running paid traffic. Not saying you cant with clickbank but refunds can hurt.

I am very familiar with Clickbank and how that works.

I never dabbled in CPA really (The only one is Cashnetwork but you still had to make a sale with the product I choose but there is no refunds)

What CPA companies pay per lead as you say other than Cashnetwork (they also have PPL)

The main difference between CPA and Clickbank is that with CPA with every sale or lead signup
you are paid regardless of any cancellation or refund. WIth networks like Clickbank any cancellation
or refund is deducted from your income or any sale reversed. That is why i stick to mostly
CPA Network, i cannot be worried about those darn refunds.

I don't know why people make them seem like they are that different because they really aren't. With a cost-per-action network, you get paid when someone takes an action (i.e. submitting their name and e-mail to something). You get paid (usually less than an affiliate commission) because you're helping the advertiser build his or her list, so you don't have to worry about refunds. With that said, a cost-per-action could include actually making a sale, but it doesn't have to. With affiliate marketing, you have to make a sale to earn a commission.

Either way, you still have to know how to do stuff like drive traffic and stuff like that, so it's not like one is easier than the other. I mean, depending on the promotion, your conversion rates might be higher, but you also have to remember that you're getting paid less per action. Which is best depends on a lot of factors.

  • I feel like everybody as already answered what they are, but I'll be answering which one is best.

And the answer to that is very much based on your marketing methods and what you want to do.

If you have a lot of traffic that is very general CPA is great because you don't need targeted traffic to get people to buy anything since CPA doesn't require people to buy anything.

With affiliate marketing, there is a lot of requirements in regards to getting quality traffic, but when you do get good traffic, you are making more from every sale.

Which one is best you may ask?

It's hard to say, but both work equally well.
