Auto Recruiting Platform sells your phone number
Do not do business with Auto Auto Recruiting Platform.
I have found out that they sell your personal cell phone number to telemarketing agencies. I 'opted in' in 2014, and I still get daily sales calls and text.
Just to be sure, I signed up for a "burner" phone plan and the same thing happened. Never-ending sales calls bombarded this new number (which I never gave to ANYONE else) I just wanted to be sure before I reported them to the FTC.
They get your phone number because they want to text you an "access code" Do not give it to them!
I was very disappointed to find out that my phone number was sold for monetary gain. I was also extremely disappointed with the quality of the product. I think the main goal of this product is to strictly get your information and then sell it. They provide no quality whatsoever.
I do not like it when businesses put people's private information at risk just to make a quick dollar. I feel this is very unethical because you do not know what someone is going to do with their information.
I hope that you all stay safe and keep your personal information private. If you feel you must enter your phone number, use a text message masking service.
On a more serious note, If you are getting never ending calls/text after signing up for the Auto Reaccuring Platform as well, and you live in the United States, you can file your complaint and speak with an FTC Representative here.
