WP Fan Machine

Anyone Else pick up WP Fan Machine?

I picked it up at the early bird price and purchased the pro upgrade. (only difference that I can see is unlimited websites and unlimited campaigns.)

so far, the installation was exactly like the training video.

The training video states that it takes around 24 hours of the cron job running to get good data but, so far it looks promising.

Will let you know after it runs for 7 days as to any fabpage numbers increasing.

  • I would be interested to know how you get on with this plugin, since past plugins with cron jobs have been notorious for problems.
Let us know how it's working out, I'm thinking of picking this up too.
    Cheers

    • Don't buy it. I bought PRO and installed it brand new install of WP and no other plugins. All looks good until you try to "Fetch" under "Campaigns" > "hot" tab. Then it just goes to a blank page that reads "DONE" but nothing happens. I have begged support to help me or at least respond for over 24 hours and I have been completely ignored.

IM Kings clearly don't care about support and given how imporant updates are since this interacts with FB, I don't trust them. I've asked for a refund but expect to get ignored again.

  • I thought mine was installed properly the first time however it wasn't. Had planned on moving hosting companies so did this in the middle. Installed on new host and it works like a charm. Cron is running on time and error free. Now just waiting on comments to start posting. The main thing I'm curious about though is anyone seeing an increase in social engagement or fan page growth from the app? It's ok to have a cool app that auto engages others but will it increase the bottom line or is it just cool?

    • What I have found is that if you have a hosting account that does not use cpanel
you cannot set up cron job and the plugin is unusable unless someone can advise me differently. when I contacted support all they could do was suggest a preferred hosting company.
  • Just wanted to post a quick follow up to the purchase, install and a week of run time. I must say, I'm impressed. All the pages are seeing increase in followers and engagement.

Most pages are getting between 5-20 new likes for the week. However, I have one page that got 93 likes in a week.

Category matters, fan page you are engaging matters so It's not perfected. But for a raw run based on the training videos, I'm very pleased with the purchase and results.

Anyone else giving it a spin?

    • Yes, I've been using it for a few days now. I have a blog in the dog niche. I make a few posts on there every day and then post the url's to my FB page.

I set up WP Fan Machine and here's what happened over the course of a few days.

Only got a handful of likes to my FB page but got around 40 people clicking through from the FB page to my site. So I actually got a burst of traffic.

Unfortunately, on day two I stopped receiving any traffic. I checked and most of the FB pages where the app posted to had banned me from future posting.

So it worked for a day and that was it. I suppose you could keep building brand new FB pages to keep it going if you wanted.

This is not a long term traffic strategy so I'm done with it.

  • I used it for a few months and it was a waste of time, as detailed in my post here: WP Fan Machine is basically a spam bot
