Alex Jeffreys Super Product

I never ask for refunds unless I feel I've been deceived. Well, I set a personal record for requesting a refund with this product. It seems like the most important part of internet marketing is writing a juicy sales letter and then hoping the buyers don't ask for a refund.

The sales letter for this blares out the usual "anyone can do this" and blah blah blah. No, NOT anyone can do this.

Jeffreys' "super product" consists of conducting taped phone interviews with experts in a particular niche, and then selling the interviews as an information product. Does this sound like something "anyone" can do?

It takes a special skill set to conduct a phone interview that is intended for sale to discriminating potential buyers. If you feel you have this skill set, go for it. Jeffreys provides lots of material to help you out.

But this is not something the average internet marketer can succeed with.

Maybe you should ask Alex for an interview first.

Then perhaps that would build your authority a little.

Later ask him to refer a few of his mates and introduce you so you could follow up by interviewing them.

If you want to track progress on someone who has established an interview type business just look at Mike from Maine. If you go back far enough you can see how to establish authority over time.

It is no different than posting your first youtube video, tweet or post....

You need a strategy to build over time.

I'm not sure what Alex Jeffries promotes or teaches in the product you bought but from your post I get a pretty good idea of the concept.

You may just find interviewing friends or acquaintances or business people you know that you have an interest in is the way to start.

I started by just adding content in my areas of interest and over the years built a following in a few different niches.

Recently I did an interview and demo with Brian Buell from Logan Graphics which would provide value to one of the small niches that I'm known in. The video is here.

It is not hard if you just practice and have a passion for the niche you decide to work in.

I've done many others both as an interviewer and as the interviewee.

But when I'm being interviewed is is usually because of my world record for the longest throw of any object by a human...or it is for digital marketing advice.

I'm not sure what Alex charges for his product but I'd probably say it was pretty cheap and probably had some good value if you decided to give it a go.

Start small and work your way up.

You don't have to make a paid product first up...just practice and find your market and technique.

One simple method is to just interview people in a niche you like and then add them to youtube and build a blog or site.

You don't have to sell the interviews just continue to build up a presence in the niche and then sell advertising or another related product where you can promote to your followers.

Nothing in my experience creates instant success without effort.

    Best of luck.

Have you tried this or just assuming? I'm guessing you just assumed the method won't work. You should try it. Maybe you will have a little learning curve if you have never done it before, but you should be able to get it to work.

Actually, this is one of the quickest and easiest ways to have a product. I've done this several times over the years. You really don't need a special skillset - just a little "gumption" to approach and ask people for the interview. But I can tell you from personal experience that more often than not people will not only say yes, but they will be very generous about it. I'll give you my example...

My very first phone interview was with Willie Crawford back in 2005. I was on his email list, so I emailed and asked him to do an interview for a product "firesale" I was putting together. Not only did he say yes, but here's what else he did:

    - Wrote his introduction for me to read
    - Chose the topic
    - Wrote the 20 questions I was to ask
    - Provided me use to his teleconference service
    - Mailed his list so we had people in the conference
    - After the conference, he had the audio edited, as well as transcribed to a PDF
    - Then he mailed his list the finished product

He did all that for 2 reasons. He's a good guy. And because I asked.

About 2 years later I did an entire product around expert interviews. Me and my partner conducted 12 interviews with successful marketers. We launched the site and did mid 5 figures.

So, the only skillset you need is your voice. Ask people - they will surprise you. Also, there are free teleconferencing services out there where you can conduct your interviews and record them. Transcribers are cost money, but not horribly expensive. And best of all, this will work in any niche...

    Good luck to you.

If someone won't say "yes", just ask them how much 1 hour of their time costs and pay it.

BTW, Mixergy's entire business model started around this. You think he launched with hundreds of interviews? You need to start somewhere.

Im not affiliated with Alex, and while I have promoted some of his products, I have also very publicly condemned others. That being said anyone CAN do this. The thing is not everyone WILL do this. For example, I kind of get the feeling from your initial post, that you did not even try, which is a real shame since this, as others have said, is one of the quickest and easiest ways to create an info product, its also very good for a newbie since your basically borrowing the authority and knowledge of the people you are interviewing.

Want to know the #1 thing that keeps people from making money online? Lack of trying. In this business people really are their own worst enemies.

    Quick follow up.

I found the interview PDF I did with Willie. I was right about it being 2005. I can't believe it's 10 years...

Anyway, if you want to read it, the link is:

Please - don't click any links in the PDF. Most, if not all, of the links are now dead.

Most of that interview and the information Willie provided is still highly relevant today. Reading it makes me think he may have been ahead of his time in a lot of areas of marketing as well. I mean, we're talking 2005 - three years before Frank Kern came out with Mass Control.

Great to read this "classic". Lol. Thanks!

It does work, but you have to take massive action, never assume anything without giving it an honest try first.

I can't speak for others but I wouldn't pay even $1 to either watch a video interview or listen to a video audio especially not internet marketers regardless of who's talking. I might opt-in with my email if it looks really interesting and offered as a free lead magnet, but no way am I paying for an interview. it's just not sexy enough to pay for. I want to be wow'd when I pay for stuff.

I understand your fear of losing money, but if you are trying to make money on the internet (not necessarily YOU, but people in general), sometimes you get what you pay for. Meaning free = sucks and worthless.

Due diligence is the key. I have lost plenty of money on the internet - both by buying awful products and being outright scammed. But these were some of the best lessons I ever got and I have MADE well more than I LOST. I don't regret a single lost dollar. Because I discovered one important thing. Money can ALWAYS be made. Money can ALWAYS be replenished. TIME, however, cannot be.

I'm not being flippant. I started this business like many do - not just broke but deep in debt. I did everything free when I started. I did find some treasures this way but MAN I wasted probably 4 years doing that. It wasn't until I invested some dollars that I got measurable returns.

If you're afraid of losing or wasting money, you may as well stick to a J.O.B.
