GoDaddy's hosting is probably the worst option anywhere.

If there are 25 people who try to access your website at the same time, you are dead in the water. It's like trying to enter an elevator. If the elevator only holds 10 people, you can push and shove to get one more but it'll either hold up the process or it simply will not work. Same for most hosts. With my server, I can go in to my WHM and set the limit to whatever I wish. You can get a VPS for anywhere from $25 up to $60 with options to set your limit to up to 300 which should be just fine.

If you are only getting a few hits an hour, you'll not run into problems but if you are serious about your uptime and access limits as well as speed, stay away from GoDaddy.

      PS: They lie a lot.

      Mo

You can also choose to go with a web host reseller but ask the question about access limits and see if they know their stuff.

As long as I have been on this forum most IM'er have preferred HostGator. There really are no big differences but I think you will find GoDaddy is a bit more expensive than Host Gator.

Personally, I normally use Namecheap for everything. Cost, service, and ease of use have always been great.

Use the forum search function and you will see that both, especially Hostgator, get bad reviews.

If its about hosting will suggest to avoid both of them.. they provide sloppy service when it come to support as they are huge companies they hardly care about customer satisfaction. If you need a company available to help you truely 24x7x365 day will suggest to take a look at Rshosting
Hosting provider with 13 Plus years in hosting business with great value for customers. Using them for more than 5 years now.

    Hi, In my experience:

I used hostgator in the past. I got more than 1,00,000 visitors a day.

hostgator shut down my hosting account.

    Then i moved to godaddy.

    It is really Awesome.

I used godaddy for more than a year.

Their support is Awesome and their server's are also very fast.

    So i recommend godaddy!

I'd be interest in what type of account you have with GD.

I'm very familiar with all their plans as well as costs.

With 1,000,000 visitors a day, the minimum visits accessing your website is 694 per minute. This would require a heavy VPS or private server account with a ton of memory.

From my personal experience, I can tell you that Hostgator is the best. I am using Hostgator for more than 3 years and did not face downtime more than 20 hours.

I'd advise you to use services from time-tested companies, I mean a2hosting.com and virtono.com.
They have provided quality SSD services with high uptime and quality webmaster-friendly support.

Services from ifastnet.com and panamaserver.com are good alternatives to the mentioned companies. They have resourceful plans at low prices.

Hostgator is much better than GoDaddy.
If you ask this question independently then, I'll suggest you BlueHost.

Neither. Both companies don't offer great load times, and that could cost you. Consider working with a VPS like Beyond Hosting

    Both are actually pretty bad.

Check out MDDHosting, StableHost or HawkHost. Most of them are cheaper + faster + have better support and aren't going to stab you in the back once your business grows.

    For shared hosting?
    They both blow.

GoDaddy is definitely more buggy though than Host Gator.
