What Is The Best Keyword Tool Or Software?

Ok, I know this info is probably mentioned here somewhere, and of course if I search on the net I'll find all kinds of unbiased opinions (yeah right).

But I'm wondering what people think (honestly think, not just tryin to earn a commision, not that there's anything wrong with that)is the best keyword tool.

I use Google keyword external of course, and I know Wordtracker is good, but a little pricey ($59 a month, ouch).

I've been messin with the seobook thing too, but when I put some keywords in, sometimes it shows no monthly searches. But then I put the same keyword into Google external, and it shows a decent amount of monthly volume.

So, whatcha guys think? Unbiased opinions of the best for the money.

Thanks.

My favorite Keyword Research tools at the moment (which I very rarely see anyone talking about) are from Microsoft...

Yea I said it... ya wanna fight about it??? (Family Guy reference... )

Keyword Research: Microsoft adCenter Labs :: Advertising and Data Mining Tools: Microsoft adCenter Labs

    Keyword Forecast
:: Keyword Forecast: Keyword Research: adCenter Labs

This tool forecasts the impression count and predicts demographic distributions of keywords. Before launching your SEO or SEM campaign, get forecasts of search volume and demographic predictions for your selected keywords.

    Entity Association Graph
:: Entity Association Graph: Keyword Research: adCenter Labs

This tool provides a graphic view of the associations between entities by mining the co-occurrences of entities in search queries or search sessions. Such associations will be useful when creating query suggestions or analyzing user search patterns.

    Keyword Group Detection
:: Keyword Group Detection: Keyword Research: adCenter Labs

Based on keywords that a user enters, this tool helps to find the groups of words from the pool of online queries that are related or similar to the keywords entered by the user. This keyword research tool also detects common misspellings of keywords entered, which can help merchants to include commonly misspelled keywords when bidding for lists of keywords.

Keyword Mutation Detection :: Keyword Mutation Detection: Keyword Research: adCenter Labs

This tool displays common misspellings or alternative spellings of keywords that a user enters that are frequently found in search query logs. The process of finding mutations is based on the technology found in keyword group detection.

    Search Funnels
:: Search Funnels: Keyword Research: adCenter Labs

Customers often perform searches by typing related keywords in specific sequences. This tool helps in visualizing and analyzing the customers' search sequences. For example, you can learn how many people search for BMW and then search for Mercedes Benz, Audi, and other automobiles.

I'm a fan of SEOBook's free tool. It uses wordtracker's database though, so it may have the same results, but there is a lot more information given and it can be exported.

Yeah I like it to. The only thing is sometimes I put some long tail in there (or semi long tail) and it doesn't list any results. But then I put the same into Google keyword and it shows some decent volume. Maybed it doesn't do so sometimes cause its a free tool. I'm still thinking bout springin for Wordtracker though.

I don't mind making an investment, as long as it works well. That's why I was looking for some info about this stuff. And the warriors delivered as usual! This place rocks.

Thanks for all the good stuff warriors!

Holy crap, those tools look awesome. I can wait to dig in on them. Demographics? Keyword clustering? Just what the doctor ordered.

MS gets ragged on left and right, but they build some darn cool stuff.

Yea, they have got some smart boys & girls working over there... they didn't get where they are for no reason...

I'm not sure if you have seen the latest trend of people dissing big-G and rooting for Bing... seems the tides are shifting once again...

I have used Wordtracker in the past with good success but these are great.

If you have the funds available, you could do a lot worse than investing in Micro Niche Finder. I love it! I think it's $97. The time it has saved me in finding good niche keyword candidates has paid for it many times over. It's also amazingly easy to learn and use. Might be the best software I've ever bought (and this goes back to 1996) for my business.

I agree with John, easily the best I have. It's not confusing to use, it's a one off payment and when it's updated it only gets better.

I really like both Market Samurai and Micro Niche Finder. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. MNF makes it very easy to spot good keywords thanks to the SOC system (strength of competition - an estimate of how strong the existing competition is for any given keyword or phrase).

Market Samurai is looking more and more like a complete search marketing power tool. Among other things I find the top 10 serp analysis for the keyword or phrase you choose, very helpful.

From what I've seen, both solutions will see some serious competition from Keyword Elite 2.0. If it works as well as promised, KE 2.0 could soon be the preferred (paid) keyword tool for most keyword researchers.

My personal favourite is Market Samuri, it can be a little bit pricey at $97 i think it is but it is really worth it.

It gives you all the keyword research and lets you check out your competiton. It is also good for SEO.

They have also put a new module in it tht lets you basucally automate a sales page or a blog.

The best thing though is that you get a free 30 day trial so you ca try it out and make sure that is to you liking before you purchase it.

I personally use Google keyword external myself. It satisfies all the essential needs. I have used wordtracker in the past.. it was good, especially it shows the KEI ratio and shows the SEO competition. It depends on your need, basically.

Market Samurai. One of the best tools around. I bought the software and it's very, very good! It cuts down a lot of your time in doing the marketing research and they give you all the important statistics.

With all the data provided, you are able to know whether it's worth your time to start your project based on the keyword that you chose. Saves you a lot of your precious time and most importantly, your money. One tool you must have in your marketing arsenal

Another vote for Market Samurai. It uses Google's data but allows powerful filtering. Outwardly, it appears similar to the perfectly-servicable Micro Niche Finder but on closer inspection its in a different class.

The other Market Samurai modules are also useful (I refrain from gushing), not least the new monetization module (watch the video and be amazed).

And, what's more, because its built with Adobe Air, it also runs on Mac.

For a year I struggled with NicheBot's cumbersome interface and sense of neglect supplemented with Micro Niche Finder before switching to the bright lights of Market Samurai.

Market Samurai user here and love it. I don't know if it's the best tool, but it saves me many hours researching for longtail keywords and the SEO data is amazing.

Pretty awesome tool if you ask me. One time payment and that's it. Oh and don't forget the new updates on MS.

  • Go where the people go to search. Google. And don't just use the Adwords Tool... Google has several tools for keyword research. Search Based, Traffic Estimator, Google Trends. Cool Stuff. I am using Keyword Research Pro as my "Front End" to the Adwords Keyword Tool. It's a slick little program that saves a ton of time... no bother with cutting and pasting and spreadsheets. And for niches where Google doesn't like to spit back real numbers or any numbers (i.e. Adult) it allows me to pick from a variety of other sources.

Bottom line is pick a tool that helps you speed up and analyze Google's Data.
