Keeping Dropbox?

So, I am debating right now if I should close my paid dropbox account.
It's full of client files . I just checked the number of files in just one folder and it's 338mb ; over 1500 files ( proves I really did write 1500 children's books! lol ) I don't need these things.
I have more files that I can remove ; side projects, research data etc .
I want to close the paid element but not the whole account since I like the cloud element. But maybe ya'll know a cheaper cloud option since $10 a month is high when I don't really need that much space? It's like the price of hosting you know?
Are there any other options for cloud hosting that is less money but just as safe?
