Best Landing Page Provider --> Whats Really Important In Making This Decision ???

Hi everyone, I'm about to get rolling on my landing pages and need to know which is the best provider for the money. Not necessarily the lowest price I want the best and I am thinking it's LeadPages but they don't seem as user friendly as Instapage but then again that could be a good thing.

btw I did do a search first for landing pages and there wasn't a thread close to my specific question regarding Landing Page providers rating.

So the choices are: (Any other services you like please post and explain why you like them. Thx.)

LeadPages vs. Megaphone vs. OptimizePress vs. Instapage

I'm just wondering if this is such a big deal? Unlimited A/B Split Testing - I'm not sure what this is? I'll google it but would like to hear your definition as well. (The only other option is 2 A/B Split Testing)

Full Custom Code Editing - I am not a big coder but I suppose I could always hire one if I needed so it's good to have I would think but not necessary.

These are only needed if you are a web designer or are selling your work at building landing pages:
Sub Accounts
5,000 Custom Web Fonts
Webhooks Integration
Expert Design Reviews

I really do appreciate WF as without I couldn't get these types of questions and discussions happening.

Thanks J

Hey J, your question should go here:

Internet Marketing Product Reviews & Ratings

To answer your question myself, I'd recommend you go with LandingPage Monkey if you can't afford Leadpages.

It's a one-time payment, they host your pages, and they have a 2 step opt-in process.

    Regards,
    Daniel

Just for giggles, I whipped up a dummy squeeze page:

    http://clika.pe/l/6380/40890/

There's nothing to opt-in to as I didn't connect my autoresponder.

In any case, I most certainly do NOT have a Great White Shark approved money making system.

And yes, I made that with LandingPage Monkey.

Thanks Daniel so it has single opt in too I assume? So you still think LeadPages is better? I guess Unlimited A/B Split Testing is really important too then? Thanks J

      J, you're confusing single opt-in vs double opt-in with a 2 step opt-in process.

Single opt-in and double opt-in has everything to do with your autoresponder settings while 2 step opt-in is simply where you click a link on the landing page for the "enter email" box to appear.

Here's a post on single vs double opt-in: Ultimate Guide to Single Opt-in vs. Double Opt-in (Compared)

And here's a post on 2 step opt-in (NOT the same as double opt-in, which I believe is the source of your confusion): Should You Use A Two Step Opt In? - CharliePage.com

And yes, LandingPage Monkey allows you to do unlimited split-testing - you can clone your pages to compare results with small changes.

      Regards,
      Daniel

P.S. use either aWeber or GetResponse as your email service provider as they allow you to choose between single or double opt-in

Ok thanks Daniel that was a huge help! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain that to me. I think I have it I just wonder why would anyone want to have it so that the visitor has to click to open up the name and email box isn't that defeating the purpose of the landing page itself? I would think so.

That is a bit confusing thanks for explaining that.

I am impressed and will join as it's only $69 for lifetime usage. You can't beat that. Do you have an affiliate link you could PM me so I could join under you and you could make 50% or $35. That's a nice dinner.

Anyway let me know I'll hold off on signing up for now. Thanks J

PS: Are there any other tools you can recommend to me that I will need. I have my domains, hosting, and soon to be landing page provider and using GetResponse for my email provider. I'm also very skilled at writing sales letters and content that sells. So is that everything? Also join GetResponse and I'll join up under your affiliate link I think they pay 20% on going so that is $120 a year for you there too. Let me know.

Hey J, a lot of people have tested regular opt-in pages with the 2 step opt-in and in many cases, the latter gets more sign-ups.

I have a hypothesis about that; most people tend to give in to "micro" actions that they make and they escalate into an action when it's done more gradually.

      Just my guess.

Honestly, that's all you really need to get started.

      Whoa!

I'm quite flattered that you wish to compensate me for my help.

However, I don't need to make any affiliate commissions off you and I tend to shy away from promoting most things in the internet marketing / make money online space.

So anyway, don't wait on me to get affiliate links for your tools.

Get them now, and get to work.

Ah that leads me to another question should I get my own domain for each landing page I create or just use the domain shortening and masking tool to clean up the domain and use the free hosting that LandPage Monkey provides. No point in using my hosting or reserving domains if I don't need too or will it get be better SEO and be a benefit in a way I'm not seeing at the moment?

Should I build the landing page to brand it to the domain I reserve or just keep in neutral to the content of the destination affiliate unique URL page I'm sending them too after I collect their name and email? I would think it's just keep it simple and make it unbranded but related to your offer so for example if your offer is selling a product to help people with weight loss then to just show a weight loss related graphic(s) on the landing page but without branding it to my own domain name (for example: ShedThePounds.com). Lets say the vendor I'm promoting had the domain LosingWeightToday.com. So keep it neutral so the people don't feel they have gone to a different company is the key to it right? Thanks J

Use the domain shortening and masking tool, no need for multiple domains.

As for SEO, it's next to impossible to rank a squeeze page, regardless of whether or not it's hosted on your own site or something else like Leadpages or LandingPage Monkey.

So don't worry about that, just make sure if you're trying to get search traffic that you create genuinely good content that makes your readers want more.

      Regards,
      Daniel

Daniel regarding domain shortening and masking I found this link on WF but it looks like it's 2008 which is way out of date. Can you recommend any of these services? Thanks J

I actually sometimes use subdomains to forward and/or mask links.

So, if your domain name is jordorules.com, you can create a subdomain like freeguide.jordorules.com and just link to your squeeze page where you offer a free guide for opting in.

Another option I highly recommend (if you're using WordPress) is this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/pretty-link/

This thread is great, as Landing pages are one area, I am constantly looking at, to see which provides the best optins.

I have used many during my online career, I also use splash pages as well ( I know they're not the same as landing pages, but I use Traffic Exchanges a lot and they give good results in those) including landing page monkey and optimise press. I also track both types as well

From those tracking results, I have to say that Optimise Press, work far better for me, over landing page monkey.

OP, for my money, look more professional and they have a wide variety of themes to choose from, as well as being easy to connect to your autoresponder of choice and though I currently don't use AWeber, when I was using them, it was the easiest set up from the list of providers

        Hope this helps

I own Landing Page Monkey and I can confirm it cannot compete with OptimizePress, Thrive, Leadpages, Divi or Instabuilder. It's a simple squeeze page builder for landing page creation only. The other themes mentioned here do much, much more.

    Split testing.

That's the key to any landing page. Normally landing pages are most used to either collect emails, pre-sales pages to warm up prospects or even as sales page itself. Thus split testing is critical to performance as it allows you to continually increase your collection/conversion rate, and sales.

LeadPages has this inbuilt into their system and is core to their whole approach. Not only that, they already have a wide range of page templates that have been tested so that you can start 'further up the ladder' before starting your own split testing.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your venture.
