Optimize Press or Xtreme Builder?

I've narrowed down my choice between Optimize Press and Xtreme Builder. I'm looking at OP because it has membership page options. XB, however, is much less expensive and has a lot of attractive features.

Has anyone had experience with both products? If so, which one do you prefer?

All other similar products are off the table for this discussion. I need to decide between these two.

    We get hundreds of these either/or questions about products and you will get mixed responses leaving you asking the same question Which one should I get?

    I think the best answer is the one you come up with on your own. Which one has the features you want at a price you are comfortable with. That is the one.

    Also, leaving other options off the table is not a good Idea as there are 2 I would choose, hands down, before either one of those.

    The reason for the other options being off the table is either price or lack of features. For example, I'd rather a one-time purchase over recurring payments. If the two you would choose are one-time purchases, let me know what they are so I can have a look.

    Still, I wouldn't mind some feedback anyway on the two I'm looking at. The main concern is user friendliness and such. I did hear that one of my choices suffers from code bloat, and slows down after a while.

    Xtreme Builder just launched on April 20th at 9:00 AM EST. I doubt you'll get a lot of input unless it's an affiliate at this point. Here's the JV page which outlines the upsells. JV — Xtreme Builder

    I can tell you OptimizePress, ThriveThemes and Instabuilder have been around for a while and have proven themselves in providing solid support and routine updates. Time can only tell where Xtreme Builder will be 1-2 years from now.

    Instabuilder has caught my eye. Earlier today before posting here I saw a couple reviews for it, but I see now there is a 2.0 version, which seems to be much better than 1.0. This could be the one. Going through the videos and info right now....

      Do not forget to look Thrive Themes. This is feautres based and work with ease. Buy anything but do not forget to master it and stick with it. You are here to focus on business not on learning the new shiny product every day.

        Thrive Themes requires monthly payments, which is what I do NOT want, as I've already said.

        I've been doing business online for almost 20 years, mostly as a web developer; more focus on Internet marketing since 2008. And my shiny object syndrome went away many years ago. Do you think I'd be asking for advice on choosing just one product over many, if I was a shiny object chaser? I have never had the need to use theme builders or other design software, because I have always hand coded every bit of my websites myself. But now I'm looking at simpler solutions, and have no idea which product to choose. So I am asking.

          Hahahahaha lol. Wow you take things very seriously in negative way. This is just a friendly advice to you nothing else. Look like you do not like it. No worry. I do not know that you have 20 years experience, if I know it than I did not give you this advice. But I think it this advice good for those persons who are new to this area and I think it might beneficial for them.

          You are correct that thrive themes is a monthly fee. But what you are looking for is actually just thrive leads, which used to be hybrid connect. it is a plugin with a one time purchase price. You can see this at the thrivethemes website. And, if you look around you will see that there are quite a few warriors that recommend that product

          Although, just like Optimize Press, you might have to pay yearly to keep getting updates.

          The thing I like most about thrive leads and instabuilder is they do not take over your theme. Unlike Optimize press where you are limited.

            Optimize Press 2.0 can be built one page at time. You can do it with your existing theme. It can be used a plugin so it doesn't need to take over your site. I've had nothing but a positive experience with OP.

              It is still a lot of money If you have more than 3 sites it is $200.00 per year. Although I guess you could set up a site that houses the squeeze pages or sales pages and funnels for all your different niches then it would only be $100.00 per year.

    The Thrive Content Builder support is yearly. Otherwise it's a one time payment forever on updates and access to the products.

    If you're a developer and opt for the Agency license then you have rights to distribute the plugin within the license guidelines for a yearly cost.

    I also own many other builders, but have found TCB to be the one for well over a year now that I'm sticking with, for the following reasons.
    • Good support
    • Constant updates
    • Education
    • Attention to detail
    • Focus on making conversions not features.

    When you buy a product like Thrive Content Builder, you don't find out later that there is another OTO for the templates you should have had to begin with, or do they try to tempt you with a bunch of internet shovel-ware free bonuses. Their attention is purely on the product and value you're getting.

    Thrive Themes' business is a sustainable one built on reputation and an exclusive, but small line of products that work together. You won't find them hawking some other strange product next week from a third party.

    A lot of the WP builders out there are exhibiting feature bloat. Much of which adds little to marketing conversions and just slows your site down.

    Presently I'd recommend three WP Builders for different reasons.
    • Thrive Content Builder ( best for marketers )
    • Beaver Builder ( best all purpose builder and easy for customers to use )
    • Divi Builder ( Insanely inexpensive for the power it offers, but once you use it on a site you need to stick with it )

    Thanks, Al. I appreciate your input on this topic. What a difference from when I started it, though. Now I'm deciding between InstaBuilder and Thrive!

    I did find Thrive Content Builder, which is a one-time payment, and looks VERY nice. And I'm even tempted now to go for their Thrive Membership option, which gives me access to ALL of their products. It's a recurring fee, but paid annually, which isn't such a bad compromise over monthly payments.

    InstaBuilder, on the other hand, has the ability to export my work as standalone HTML pages that can be used independently of WordPress. That's an attractive feature for me, but as a developer myself it wouldn't be hard to convert it manually.

    hmmm, I may have just talked myself into Thrive! lol

      Joel, I use them all, and my preference is Thrive. Every so often, Thrive adds additional functionality and new tools that fit perfectly into my workflow. The new Thrive Headline Optimizer is a good example.

      Over the past few months, I have been switching nearly every one of my Wordpress sites over to Thrive, including using their themes. It's a lot of work that isn't really necessary, but at the end of the day I feel less encumbered and more comfortable using a consistent tool set.

      You may consider reaching out to them before deciding. You'll find them to be very gracious and professional. Shane and his team are leaders in the industry.

        I think that part of the game is getting a set of tools and learning the ins and outs of them. It has been my experience that once you get something, somebody else comes out with something that has other features and is cheap enough to try.

        However, over time, getting comfortable with and learning how to maximize one set of tools has it's advantages. I use OP for the same reason that Tim uses Thrive. YMMV.

    I took the plunge and went for xtreme and ditched Profit Builder because I was having a lot of conflicts plus when using the builder it was lagging a lot. Xtreme so far feels more lightweight and speedy. It's intuitive to use (it took me way longer to get the hang of PB at the time) and what I like very much is that I can see what I am doing directly within my wordpress editor.

    Support: after a couple of comments in the facebook group they did help me immediately with an issue I had after installing the theme on my blog. Their facebook group is a bit too over-moderated to my taste In stead of trusting group members to help others with their questions/problems they want to keep everything under their own support. In general I'm happy with the theme for my blog.
