Anybody used a PDF to Kindle converter?

Hi Kindle experts...have any of you used a PDF to Kindle converter like this one:
Online AZW ebook converter


It says it will convert PDFs so you can view them on Kindle devices, but I was wondering if the Kindle version is ready to upload to Amazon?

    Kurt, I haven't tried this one, but the ones I have tried produced some wonky formatting. The best I've been able to come up with is converting the PDF to either Word or Rich Text, then importing to another program (I use Scrivener) to output the Kindle ready file.

    Have you looked into calibre.com ? I think it's free - I downloaded it but haven't used it yet.

    Still learning Scrivener but it's REALLY good.

    To be honest, I'm doing some research for a blog post about repurposing content and came across the PDF to Kindle link I posted above and was wondering if it worked or there was a similar solution that did.


    I really don't do any Kindle marketing and didn't want to go through the entire process just for a sentence or two in a large article...I'll probably just leave it out.

    I am currently struggling to get books I bought on Amazon downloaded to my laptop as PDFs. It seems I need to connect the laptop and the desktop with a USB lead so am hoping when I go buy the lead, that it will work.
