I get it too. $1 for first month. But don't expect 'secret' to be sold for 1$. This is just teaser with probably some basic stuff. Later you will be asked to take out your wallet.

Despite that I also wonder what it is all about. Something to do with AdWords so you can get a lot of trafic for low cost.

Why not dive right in and find out exactly what it is rather
than asking other people what it is? It's a dollar!

If you like it, keep it and give Frank + Trey cash. Don't like
    it, get out of it.

because I get offers like this everyday, if you are smart you use the warrior forum to help you weed out all the time wasters, this one seems to be a time waster as according to their own data this secret system was making 2.8 hits/day per domain!

Aren't you a marketer? People want to know what they're getting themselves into... they want to confirm their suspicions by asking others about it first.

I don't see anything wrong with people asking questions first, instead of buying first and asking questions later.

Hey Guys, Frank shot a video about this on his blog here:

      http://masscontrolsite.com/blog/?p=56

Glad some of you are digging it!

FYI - this is not on CD... it's all online videos and a 70+ page report.

The $1.00 for the first month is just to whet your appetite
for the $97 a month membership site.....

With all the multitude of changes that Google goes thru I would be weary
of any strategy the seems to circumvent them to last very long...

Well the first thing you should pay attention to is the fact that what Kern is offering is on the 'forced continuity' business model. Basically if you forget to cancel you get billed $97 - it says so on the sales page, even if it's in small fonts If you've got that sort of money to fork out each month then go for it.

I don't know about this Trey guy but Kerns stuff is usually very good and is worth what he charges for it.

In terms of what this traffic source is I'd guess it's Pay Per View (PPV) traffic - in fact I am willing to wager $1 that it is.

I haven't tested this traffic source yet, but it's gaining momentum.

    Hope this helps.

If you ask me, it is well worth the $1 to have a peek what he is offering. You get lots of video that can be eye-opening.

$1 offer is always good to take a peek and if it is not what you are looking for then you can jump out. It doesn't really hurt you so much.

I just jumping into the $1 GVO trial offer and it looks great for long term business!

Ok, Let me clear some things up.

Screw Google is not based on using Google so for all of you saying Google changes too fast it doesn't matter, it has nothing to do with Google. It is also not about PPV traffic.

It's about using Yahoo! advertising. It walks through the setup of a campaign and they show you how to use a really sweet free tracking system. Showing the tracking was worth the $1 for me. The rest was fairly basic, but if you haven't used Yahoo! then it helps you start using it. Hey, it's a buck, you can't expect it to be spectacular.

There is a $97/month continuity, but if you don't like it then send in an email to support saying you want to cancel. The information in the monthly membership is good, so if you can afford it (which if you are taking action you should be able to) then keep it and learn from Frank and Trey. Both are good marketers and good people to watch and learn from.

Shawn. What kinda of 'good information' is exactly in the $97 monthly membership? is it videos? a newsletter? what topics are covered? please go into more detail if you can.

You're kidding, right? You've started this thread and made multiple posts over a day and a half trying to learn what this "secret" is about when you could have found out in two minutes for $1. Wasting time doesn't really seem to be an issue with you.

Meanwhile, can we assume you've already mastered Yahoo ppc then? I'm guessing no, since spending a big fat dollar was apparently a bank breaker for you, lol.

Did anyone else find it odd that the primary case study in the course (promoting Rocket Spanish via direct linking on Yahoo) resulted in $160 in spending & 0 sales?

I'm not knocking the meat of what's taught, and I make money using Yahoo PPC so I know it's a good traffic source, but the case study results sure won't get anybody fired up.

                  I completely agree.

I appreciate the full disclosure but why am I going to join the membership site when the method they showed didn't work for them?

It's like they were too lazy to video tape a campaign that actually made a sale.

                  Don't get it.

In the monthly info there are 3 tabs:

    What's Working Now
    - This is a newsletter/blog type thing where they post different articles on what seems to be completely random topics.
Some recent topics include: Yahoo! Match Types, Getting Accepted into CPA Networks, Ad Click Rate Stats for different search engines, product creation tools, split testing, etc.
There is a lot of info that's already in there that you can go back and read, and I have seen 3 new posts since I purchased (the day they launched)

    Videos
    - The videos section has many sub-sections and videos within those sections. The subsections are: Market Research, Email Marketing, Pay Per Click, Growing Your Business & Product Creation
Each section has 2-5 videos that explain different things like how to use different tools, case studies, tracking, interviews, etc.

    Q&A
    - Pretty self explanatory. Some Q&A videos & audios.

You also get access to Infomillionaire (the digital version) when you get Screw Google...that's not part of the monthly membership, it's just a bonus that's there.

Point taken. Then again, we're talking about a well-known
guru here (who just posted not too long ago, go subscribe
to his list and make a billion dollars instantly). So, while
usually I'll ask around for reviews and stuff, I'd be willing to
save the money for ice-cream and dump it into Frank's
hands just to check it out.

I may be biased since I've been part of his MC Monthly,
I'll admit that... for a while at least.

True, a dollar offers are everywhere. So that's why I tend
to read salesletters to figure out what is it they're trying
      to sell.

I think if you've been around the WSO section and various
marketers long enough, you'll have a sense of what they're
      trying to sell.

I've only been learning IM for a year and I could roughly
figure what they were selling... If it's "Screw Google" but
there's ads involved, then, by simple deduction... the only
viable options left are Yahoo and MSN.

I have a copy of the Yahoo Loophole or something like
that... an ebook released quite some time back. So I would
always look into my older stuff which I have to learn instead
of spending money on new stuff I can get from previous
      doohickeys.

I think infomillionaire is worth the price of admission alone.

Couple that with Google Sniper and you have yourself a winning mindset.

    Hi Steve,

This post from another thread might shed some light on the issue. I've simply copied my post and pasted it below.

    ----------------------------

    Jim, that rules!

Amitywill, you have a point. Strangely, you're the first person to say anything about the fact that our initial test campaign didn't yield a profit.

We expected to hear some concern over it earlier since we've had so many customers.

And we considered delaying the release of these videos until we could show an immediately profitable campaign. (After all, all we'd have to do is test a gazillion products and then only show the winners.)

However, we thought it would be SUPER LAME to *only* film/show winning campaigns.

The fact of the matter is this: When you're testing affiliate products with PPC, you're not always profitable right out of the gate. In fact, I've never met a single person who is *instantly* profitable when promoting affiliate products via PPC.

Sometimes, you promote a product that doesn't convert and you move on. No big deal if you're monitoring the campaigns.

Sometimes you have some keywords that convert and you have others that are eating up your profits so you cut them off. This is the most common scenario.

What we show in the videos is REALITY.

If we'd edited out the duds and made it look like our first promotion out of the gate was a winner, we'd set up customer expectations that their first promo out of the gate should be a winner.

And while I hope that the first campaign everyone sets up is immediately profitable (like Jim's), I know that's not often the case. You usually have to trim the fat.

So to set up a false expectation that the very first campaign is going to be a winner would (IMO) be a grave disservice to the customer.

And the reason I believe this is because they would likely say, "Damn! My first promo didn't convert. I must be doing something wrong. I quit!"

...When in reality, they just needed to test another one. Or they simply need to trim the dud keywords and only run the ones that convert.

So that's my side of the coin on this issue.

Also, we *did* get a sale on the new product we switched to.

And we're testing other ones that are converting as well.

In fact, I just shot an update video about it and am uploading that today (for any customers who are interested.)

    Thanks for the feedback everyone.

    Frank

Wow *THE* Frank Kern. I kinna feel bad for talking smack now... But I still think that you should include the video where you make a sale in the package.

Like I said I really appreciate the full disclosure and to be completely honest with you I actually trust you more. So if that was your goal... Mission Accomplished.

But I couldn't help but feel a little deflated when I got to the end of the videos and the campaign was unsuccessful... THE END. It's kinda like a bad ending to a great movie.

I can only speak for myself here but in my humble opinion if you would have included the video where you made a sale I would still trust you more and I would also be more motivated to take action.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post,

    Hey Guys,

I picked up Screw Google the day it came out. I followed the 6 videos or so and set everything up just as they discussed. By the next day I was getting targeted traffic to my affiliate offers at an average of .13 per click. I haven't had that on Google in a long time.

Those of you worried about "wasting" a dollar....

Well, if you truly feel that you don't learn at least $1 worth of information
from the videos and/or bonus eBook, all you have to do is ask Frank for
your dollar back and he'll refund you. Simple as that.

They aren't trying to trick you into paying them $97/month for information
you don't want. They are up front and honest about the deal on the sales
page, videos and blog. They TELL you right up front that they are offering
this deal for ONLY $1 dollar in hopes of you finding the info that you get
access to valuable enough for you to continue the monthly membership
at the $97/mo price for the Mass Control membership.

They proceed to tell you that if you don't feel the membership is worth
staying on at the $97/mo price tag, you have several ways to cancel
before you ever get billed (you get up to 30 days to decide). Then you
are also told that if you feel the $1 you spent was wasted, ask for a
refund and they will refund you. No questions asked.

These people are multi-millionaires, your dollar isn't that important to
them. They certainly don't want unhappy customers, so they won't
argue over refunding your dollar and canceling your membership.

Personally, I found the marketing to be refreshing compared to many
of the forced monthly membership sites I've seen giving away a product
or offering it extremely cheap just to get your paypal email details so they
can charge you monthly fees. In many cases there's NO mention of the
monthly membership until AFTER they already have all your details.

And then it's sometimes buried in the fine print that most people don't
even bother to read (until after they've already been charged) and some
of them make you jump through hoops to cancel your membership.

Anyway, that's my take on it.

    Matt

P.S. Frank, where's my billion dollars? I've been on your list for at least 24 hours, maybe even 48 hours and I've yet to see that billion.

To be able to sell it of course. It's a marketing technique. People love secrets. Would you pay for an information that everybody knows? Exclusive content sells.
