StomperNet Membership Re-Opens September 2009

It has been confirmed that StomperNet are re-opening their full membership in September 2009. That's what the Stompernet 09-09-09 stuff was all about.

I really like the StomperNet stuff

I thought Stomping The Search Engines was excellent and enjoy reading The Net Effect each month as it is packed with more ideas for action.

Formula Five is excellent for ecommerce businesses with some substance.

StomperNet SMARTS opened my eyes up to the possibilities of social media and one tip has paid for the cost of the course many times over.

But I will be interested in people who have the full StomperNet full membership experience.

While I am a StomperNet affiliate, I am thinking about buying membership.

    That's all? They're just re-opening their doors? That's not exactly earth-shattering.

As an aside, I believe Commission Blueprint 2.0 opens that day too. Wonder how much they'll cut into each others launch?

They may have a few other things up their sleeve connected to the StomperNet membership.

Guess we will find out more later in September.

At the moment affiliates have been briefed but asked to keep things quiet in terms of what is happening with a whispering campaign on what is happening with the price of membership.

Still everything will be revealed tomorrow.

I originally started this thread hoping to collect some reviews of StomperNet monthly membership.

            Has anyone tried it?

As I said at the top, I have seen other stuff from StomperNet and thought that the overall quality was excellent.

The new price will be a game changer since it is much lower than the original $800 per month but even so, the money can quickly mount up unless you are making it much faster.

To answer your question, StomperNet started as an SEO training business but they have built a very impressive faculty which now covers just about all areas of Internet marketing.

Brad Fallon co-founder of StomperNet and new CEO has told me that there are now over 1,400 training videos in StomperNet so it is a huge resource for serious Internet marketers.

The StomperNet launch has run into a few difficulties but Alexa was listing the site at number 1 around the scheduled time of the launch so traffic volumes must be huge.

On the bonus side, I think that the StomperNet training itself is so massive, any bonuses will just overwhelm people.

I know the CB 2.0 folks were also cu'sing at AWeber with their email campaigns. An insider mentioned a 30 mins to 2 hour delay in sending.

With Stomper999 and Commission Blueprint 2.0 launching around the same time, AWeber being swamped sounds like a possibility to me...

I've got a question for anybody that's currently a StomperNet member.

How is the 1-on-1 coaching structured?

What do you think of SMARTS and Formula 5?

Could you explain what Stomper Summits are?

I'm trying to decide if the Gold membership is worth the extra $ or if I want to just go with the basic.

Please feel free to PM me the answers. I'd be glad to clear my cookies and order through the link of the person with the most helpful answers.

Well, but the comparison sheet on the checkout page showing that the basic level doesn't include the 1400 hours videos.

Then, if I roll at this level, what kind of "training" I'll receive?

it seems that for $199, I only get access to the given tools.

      Can you explain more?

I would have liked it to be clearer on the training in terms of what you get for StomperNet $199 membership.

You get much more than the tools and I see the Mastermind idea as particularly valuable.

The checkout comparison says that the 1400 videos are included at the StomperNet Gold level but not at the basic $199 level, however it also says that you do get

    Step by step programs
    30 day guided tours

I am not sure what that means.

On the comments on Formula Five and StomperNet SMARTS, I thought I would add my opinion.

Formula Five is a comprehensive business building/profit improvement program which is ideally suited to ecommerce businesses and has its own forum and coaching groups. As with all these programs, you have to be willing to listen to the ideas and try them out to get value and from my own coaching experience I have known people stubbornly refuse to try changing prices, adding upsells and cross-sells etc.

StomperNet SMARTS started in January 2008 and was my first experience of StomperNet and one of my early forays into Internet marketing training. I understand that Dan Crowther is working on StomperNet SMARTS 2.0 which will be much more up to date since social media moves quickly.

The original SMARTS course attracted a wide range of skill levels and StomperNet had to cater for the slow people. There was "this is how you join and set up a page" stuff in the videos but then more advanced tactics were also added. They seemed advanced to me anyway.

The problem with social media is that it can take up such a lot of time and it seemed bitty until Don pulled everything together and showed by all the actions mutually supported and reinforced each other.

I queried the 1400 videos with StomperNet and I have had an answer back from Tom Ham who has told me that the videos ARE included in the $199 membership.

It seems that the comparison chart is wrong but it is being corrected at the moment.

Update - the comparison chart has now been corrected (noon ET September 10th) and now shows the 1400 videos as included at the $199 level.

Anyone else think the order button is in a funky place when you go to Stomper999.com?

Then when you finally find it, there's that letter from Brad. And you have to opt in at the bottom (first name, last name, email, & phone # all required) before you get passed through to the actual sales page (if you want to call it that :p).

Then there's a little bit of vague copy and a comparison chart.

AND...I did not order yesterday, but went back today with thoughts of doing so. Thing is, I can't get to the sales page without opting in again on Brad's letter page. No direct link to the sales page was emailed to me when I signed up the first time.

This is all rather puzzeling to me. I think the SN folks know what they're doing. But it seems they made the transaction process WAY TOO HARD/CONFUSING on this one.

I wish I could have been a fly on the wall at their launch strategy session so I'd know their reasoning for doing it this way.

    Lance I agree with you.

The website design does seem strange with the hidden order button.

I assume the plan is that after capturing the email address, various conversion emails will be sent if people don't complete but the auto responder series has been written yet.

On the copy side, Brad has said that he wants StomperNet quality to speak for itself through demonstration.

Thats good in this world full of marketing hype but I am amazed that there aren't testimonials somewhere on the website from happy and rich Stompers.

Well, I have been waiting to get in on stompernet for a while mainly just to see what all the fuss was about, but I have to say I am less than impressed with the whole sign up process.

First of all, I think the process that Lance outlined is a bit sloppy and doesn't give enough info on what you are going to be getting for your money. However, I tried signing up yesterday and got as far as entering payment details and hitting submit. Unfortunately, I was then sent to a page which basically had a load of xml and other sorts or errors showing. Not good..

Anyway, all I received via email was an invoice with no links to sort the problem and that was it. No explanation email, no email saying click this link to try again, no email saying "don't worry your credit card has not been charged".. Nothing!

I emailed support straight away and received the autoresponder reply that the message had been received and will be answered yadayadayada.. Since then, nothing.

I realise they are probably busy but for a system that is supposed to be built around quality and support, I am very unimpressed and I am quite glad now that the transaction didn't go through to be honest.

    Hey There kflanagan28,

Full Disclosure: I am currently an affiliate for Stompernet however this is my honest personal opinion.

I signed up pretty much when they launched as I've always wanted to join but not wanted to commit to the higher price. I was a little shocked when I first got in to find out that all of the tools weren't automatically included however in my excitement to get in I guess I just skipped over the bit that mentioned they were releasing them over the 9 day period to members as well.

Once I got over the initial shock and started to poke around I got speaking to a few of the members and moderators inside who are all really open and freindly and found the wealth of knowledge that is the forum archives. Since then they've been opening a new tool each day accompanied by a webinar explaining them and I've attended them all, the tools take a bit of explaining at first but once you understand it becomes appparent just how powerful they are. I beleive they will be making these webinars available for download and the first new member trainings begin on Monday.

I'm happy with my results so far and definitely plan on staying a member if things keep on as they are. If you have any specific questions then feel free to send me a PM or contact me via @danielmcclure on Twitter.

In an interesting move StomperNet have reverted back to the normal product launch on Stomper 999.

They are releasing a lot of content to prove the worth of the training but you can no longer join as the content is released.

Instead the content will build up to the grand opening next week.

    Hi,
I am new to the forum. I just had a question about the new Stompernet memebership for $199/mo. Is there a deadline before they close the doors? I keep hearing "after 9 days its over". Does this mean they will no longer offer the membership after 9/17/09? I will not have the funds available till 9/18 and was wondering if I will miss the boat by waiting past 9/17? Thanks in advance for all your help.

This relaunch of stompernet seems to me to be probably the biggest bungled relaunch in the history of relaunches.

It was all based around reopening on the 9th of the 9th month 2009 (hence the stomper999). They did reopen on that date but it was very obvious for all those that signed up including myself that they were nowhere near ready.

Very quietly they shut the doors again and said the relaunch was going to be the 22nd September which on the day again changed to the 23rd. In all that time here on the inside of stomper, only 2 of the tools are available and the message for the past 2 weeks has been the rest will be available on the 22nd. Strangely that message changed again to say that they will be rolled out slowly over time.. What the?

Having said all that, the quality of the training videos are something to behold. Even for people with an advanced knowledge of search engine marketing will get some great stuff from the vids. Most of them cover the basics but after that they take SEM to a whole new level. The forum archives are full of great stuff also.

I signed up because I have been intrigued by all the fuss and hype that surrounds the stompernet thing for years and I can see why it achieved that status now.

Putting the bungled relaunch to one side and boiling down all the hype and fluff that certainly exists around stomper into it's purest essence.. Stompernet is for people who want to leave the "make money" mentality behind and move onto the "create a profitable business" mentality. For $197 a month, I feel it is good value.

Thanks for your review, Steve. And the Stomper faculty should probably thank you too.

Ever since Stompernet opened, I've been intrigued by it - but $800 per month is just too much for anyone who is not yet a millionaire. Or who has not yet got a successful internet business.

But when I heard the fee had dropped to $200 I thought it would be a no-brainer. And I subscribed and hoped to join.

Bizarrely, the launch totally put me off. I mean - free Market Samurai trial? I got MS in LAST YEAR's 30 day Challenge! How original was that as an opener? And as the daily promotions opened they seemed more and more lame, and there seemed no clear way of joining and I have yet to understand exactly what I would get for my $200 per month anyway - if I were to ignore what I already know about Stompernet.

So the outcome of their lauch has been to put me off joining! I was 'presold' on this launch, yet their clumsiness and lack of originality has undone all the previous publicity and brand awareness.

As a lesson in marketing, it has been a very poor one. This relauch was amateur, amateur, amateur, and as such it does not encourage anyone to view the Stompernet membership as representative of a good online business education.

What it should have been is flawless, imaginative and inspiring. It was full of flaws, unimaginative and completely 'also-ran'.

So thanks for reminding me of the content and its value, since the relaunch has not done that. You should probably be in charge of marketing Stompernet because in your one post on the topic you have caused me to reconsider it.

              All the best,
              Phil
<EDIT> If only I could figure out what I'd get for my money... do they actually tell you anywhere what the membership consists of?

Sadly.. No, not really. When they launched on the 9th originally there was some comparison tables for what each membership tier received. That unfortunately disapeared pretty quick but basically for $199 everything important was included. For the extra dosh there was special VIP passes and things for live events and few other bells and whistles that I didn't much care for.

However, even though I have been there for a couple of weeks nearly I still don't know what I am entitled to as the new portal is still in a transition phase and a lot of the stuff is still not available or being ported from the old portal to the new one. I keep reading a lot of "be patient and all will be revealed" sort of messages on there but my patience is wearing a bit thin to be honest.

I will certainly stick it out for another month because there is more than enough top notch info in there to keep anyone going but after that, if it is still in transition then I am off.

Stompernet was great and it gave me the inspiration to get into IM.

Now I'm doing very well and I have them to thank for a big part of it...

Busy weekend as the chance to get the free stuff - now said to be over 100 items - disappears when the sales page goes live on Tuesday.

Same situation for anyone interested in John Carlton's Simple Writing System which goes before Monday's launch.

Wow. It's weird reading people talking about this stuff when I'm not the one writing any of it anymore.

No one here mentioned Stompernet forum?
I used to be original member of Stompernet and having very active and very helpful forum community was quite helpful.
Many people here are care about videos - and I bet 95% are *not* going to watch them all.
IMHO videos are overhyped in general - they all take too much time and are not searchable and largely useless.
PDFs and forums are goldmine - you can find answers on your complex SEO and business questions in seconds and skip all the fluff. You cannot do it with Videos.

Bottom line: I'd be willing to pay $100/mo to access forum-only + access to SN conferences/events - they are great. The rest is marketing fluff.

From my initial observation, the forum on Stompernet is not any different than this forum, in fact I would even say that this forum is better. The major difference is that the Stompernet forum covers more general business and ecommerce issues such the legal/shipping/wholesale etc... aspects. The SN conferences/live events are pretty good as they usually feature some of the biggest name in the IM industry.

I personally join on the day of the launch. The contents are great and very useful. As for the tools and bonuses, they are just an extra to me and the most important is the value of the whole training.

One of the main reason for me to join is the free stomper LIVE seminar as it will be coming to my country next year. Well worth the money.

I've been enjoying the daily calls and the forum is a great resource. You can still search through all the posts which contain a wealth of information. The new portal is not that intuitive however once you get used to it then you can really start to benefit from everything that is contained within. It was an odd launch process but with more stuff coming through all the time, I'm defnitely not disappointed.

Anybody know what plan level (or how many submissions) the TraffiicGeyser edition for StomperNet is?

It says the value is $27/mo which is a fraction of even the lowest TG plan...makes me think its prob not even that useful!

I joined the new Stompernet when it opened and have debated cancelling since then as the forums are so slow now, not speed but people replying. It seems very much like a... "tumble weed rolls past" like you see on films

Anyone else feel the same? I have looked through the archives and even though there were some areas which were very interesting "link wheels" , "PR Pumpers" .. I actually found more information here and more direct answers

After finding Andy Jenkins is no longer running it and Dan Theis has moved on slightly, it seems to be like when a new director makes a sequel of a film and ever so slightly doesnt pull it off enough for you want to want to watch the third in the trilogy

I am very very VERY close to cancelling as even the $199 a month doesnt seem worth it now as I have found your forum guys

So catching up with this is it still providing value? I mean alot of these continuity programs start out great but soon fall by the wayside, everyone forgets about them and moves on. Shame as the big sell is the continual support and information. I joined mindvalleylabs about 18 months ago they promised much but just checking back now and theres loads of blank spaces where content should be even after all this time.

    I think it's still a great membership.

The training is excellent. Some things are frustrating, like the lack of some of the tools, but if you're only really looking for the training and live events, then it's good stuff and good value.

It's also worth noting that Stompernet members get the new Mindjack course free.
