Optimize Press or Lead Pages?

Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a tool that can help me create some landing pages. This tool will be used for a long sales page, a thank you page and maybe some support pages.

Right now I'm oscillating towards Optimize Press. However, I'm also interested in Lead Pages. Optimize Press seems more of a "swiss knife" approach while LP comes with a lot of pre-made resources.

What do you suggest? I am looking for something that requires as little HTML editing as possible. The website will be made out of a sales page (classic format), an order page and a thank you page.

I also want to revamp a blog I have or maybe, start a new one. I want to use a professional theme. Since I've spent over 100 USD on themes on Themeforest.com and all proved frustrating to use, I've decided on Thesis as a framework.

Do you think that Thesis is a good framework? Can you offer an alternative?

As far as the prices go, OP is $97, LP is $37/month and Thesis is $99. I don't plan on creating new assets apart from these ones for a while so I don't need licenses for multiple websites.

    I've been using OP2 for last 3 years and it is working fine. You can also use it for membership site. You can also check out Thrive Page Builder. Thanks :-)

    Lead pages is nice but again so is the new version of Optimized Press. I started old school with OP and kinda geared using them mostly. Lead Pages is very simplified but then again so is the other...

    I think Optimize press is the better value with a $99 one-time payment.

    Although nowdays I find myself using WYSIWYG editors quite a bit for my sales pages

    I can't recommend Optimizepress anymore..

    I used to love it when it first came on the market but compared to what's available today, it's slow and takes ages to build pages. Such a learning curve is also unnecessary when we're spoilt for choices.

    I'd go with Thrive or LeadPages over Optimizepress.

    And ClickFunnels is also worth considering.

      I couldn't agree more..

      i stopped using Opress for that reason..

      then i started making my own landers and SP using NVU (open source)

      just snag some pro looking templates from fiverr and you're ready to go

    While it was a hard call, I've decided to go with Thrive. It offers a good monthly rate ($25) for several tools. Overall, the cost of ownership is better than LeadPages and it seems a lot more customizable than it.

    Another question ...

    Do you consider Thesis a still must have for blogging? I know that Thesis was the gold standard years ago and it humiliated any off-the-shelf theme from sites like Theme Forest. However, a lot of competition emerged since then and $197 for the framework seems a lot.

    Do you suggest I go with Thesis for a blog or use another solution? This is going to be a normal Wordpress blog. I am not going to use Thesis for creating a landing page.

      Regarding your question on Thesis - I researched many of the more robust themes about 2-years ago and decided to go with Divi from Elegant Themes - VERY happy with this theme, support is great, some very nice templates and child themes, and I actually find it quite easy to use.

    I like Instabuilder a lot but those other options (OptimizePress, LeadPages and Thrive) are excelent options as well.

    Neither. Go with Thrive Themes. I used all of them but Thrive is definitely number 1 on my list.

    I'm still satisfied with OP, been using it for a long time even though now you have to pay for updates and support plus the last few WP updates have thrown a monkey wrench into their live editor.

    It took quite awhile to get proficient with it and now that I have it down, I'm not learning something else, especially if I have to pay a monthly fee.

    I would still recommend it though because when you get good at it, you can build out anything you want.

    I am biased towards OptimizePress as it has been a solid platform for my needs for over 4 years now. I have used many other platforms, but the extensibility and the ability to embed specific OP components inside of normal Blog posts and pages is very helpful.

    If you have multiple websites/blogs that you want to incorporate OP into, I would consider investing in the Developer edition so that you can install it on as many as you like without restrictions.
