LeadPages, ThriveLP, OptimizePress, InstaBuilder, or ClickFunnels?

There are lot of solutions on the market for creating landing pages, and that creates a lot of confusion as to which one is best

I don't like the monthly recurring cost of LeadPages, and OP2 is probably too slow, so I'm not sure about the others.

If you only want to do landing pages, don't get clickfunnels. This is for creating funnels, not landing pages. I mean yes you can do landing pages, but it is way too expensive if you ONLY want to do landing pages.

I have leadpages and I like it. I can't make landingpages with optimizepress for some reasons (I know you can) and I've had a lot of technical problems with optimizepress in general...I did my membership website with optimizepress though and I liked it.

I plan on canceling my leadpages membership and getting clickfunnels but only because I plan on doing a lof of funnels. You don't need it just for landing pages.

I'm with Robert on this one. Not only is it a low one time fee for unlimited websites, but you have the options of building multiple pages with many ready to go templates.

Another vote for InstaBuilder. I've had version 2.0 for months now.

Over the past 2+ years I'd tested FunnelKit, Thrive, and tried using the sales page creation functionality inside my theme (Flexsqueeze).

Of those, InstaBuilder has been the most flexible and the easiest to use. There's still a learning curve but that seems the case with any I've used however, I got up and running more quickly with this one and am very pleased with how it works and the overall results.

I have a question of the respondents.

How easy is it to clone pages or funnels in the systems you are using?

One thing I've found is once you have something working and you want to make a similar set of pages that work but switch out products or redirect upsells, downsells etc there can be a lot of work.

I am a fan of CF for the cloning ability but I cannot find any info on how cloning works with some of the other page builders.

Also how does integration with payment and payment processors go?

How does managing memberships. . . not the membership site itself . . . more the billing and access fluidity work with the page builder you choose to use?

Can you run everything from inside the one platform?

What personal experiences can you share in regards to "How hands-off" is one system over another?

    best regards,

    Ozi

Profit Builder allows you to create templates of finished pages that you can export to your desktop and then import and load into other sites. Takes just a few seconds.

It's a bit of a bear to learn, but it's an awesome tool that includes anything you could ask for. I couldn't live without it.

Additionally, as previously mentioned, it comes with a full suite of ready to go page templates covering every single need you can think of, including Sean's 'Million Dollar Sales Page.'

Oh my ... it is difficult and often a case of personal preference and exact requirements. I have used all of those that the OP mentioned, except Instabuilder. Here's my journey ...

Loved OptimizePress version1, but have never got on with version 2. I found it too slow and clunky.

Swapped to LeadPages ... Quite liked it but found I spent lots of time searching for themes and then found that it didn't quite do what I wanted a lot of the time. It seemed to force me to design and do things in a way I didn't want to do them and it was expensive. A bit too constrained I thought. I believe that it has recently been improved though.

Tried ClickFunnels and loved it. It was more expensive than LeadPages but so much better. Then due to personal circumstances getting in the way, I wasn't able to launch for several months. The great thing about ClickFunnels was that I could pause my account and just pay $9 per month to keep my account alive and keep all my work on hold, ready for when I was able to come back to work.

In the meantime, I heard about WP Profit Builder (WPPB) and thought wow, if I can get that for a one time low fee and build something similar to what I've got in ClickFunnels that will be great, it'll save me loads of money. And actually WP Profit Builder is very good too.

The training videos are a bit difficult to follow and don't cover all the advanced features - but if you stick with them then you can really get a lot out of WP Profit Builder and I still use it occassionally.

I did have a problem with my webhost IP being blacklisted by WPPB's server (one of the problems with shared hosting) meaning that although my existing WPPB sites were okay I couldn't license any new sites on my existing hosting. The support team at WPPB were excellent but could not get around the issue, though they recommended using the same host that they do, which is fair enough. I have had the same licensing issues with other products too so it's definitely a problem my end (rather than theirs) and hats off to WP Profit Builder support for investigating and trying to resolve it.

Whilst looking at alternative hosting I then heard about Thrive Themes and Thrive Landing Pages. I thought this would be the answer to my prayers, if it got round the licensing problem I was having with WPPB. But it's not really. I invested in the one year access to all their products for over $200 (much more than WP Profit Builder) and I have to say I don't find it particularly intuitive and I have struggled to make anything that looks half decent. I really struggled with one thing that I was trying to do, only to finally discover that some functions can't both be used on the same page (can't remember what it was now). I have given up on Thrive now.

My conclusion is that ClickFunnels is well worth the investment if you actually intend to sell stuff, for the following reasons:

    1. the system is brilliant, it is so easy to use
    2. the training and knowledgebase are fantastic(I'd say there is none better)
    3. sure it's $97 per month, but you should easily be able to make that back in sales - just make sure you know what it is what you want to sell before you get started. There is no point in having an awesome sales facility if you don't have anything to sell yet.
    4. smart checkout options which mean you can have Stripe or cart integrations as well as Paypal
    5. one click upsells are easy - meaning that your customers don't have to buy each upsell separately and then be returned to an OTO page to buy again.

As a second choice I would have said WP Profit Builder, but having just checked out the Instabuilder website and looked at some of their tutorials .... I must say it looks pretty good to me and I might give it a try some time.

    Hope that helps.

    Frank,

Regarding WP Profit Builder I have 2 questions if you don't mind:

    1. How is the speed and resource usage? Okay to use on shared hosting? I know every hosting plan has different limits but asking about your experience.
    2. Is it kept updated? I've had issues before with scripts that are hit and run . Its is a big hit on launch and then the owners run without updating or supporting it.

    Thanks.

      Certainly. :-)
      1. How is the speed and resource usage?
Not a speed demon, but I have never found any of these type of builders deliver code that anyone would rave about. It can be a bit of a hog, but neither of these are things that bother me. I have no problem with a site taking two seconds to load. Yes, I know - that causes a coronary in some people.
Okay to use on shared hosting? I know every hosting plan has different limits but asking about your experience.
Yes, although I only use VPS, both for myself and my clients.
      2. Is it kept updated? I've had issues before with scripts that are hit and run . Its is a big hit on launch and then the owners run without updating or supporting it.
Totally. Frequent updates. Sometimes more than 4 or 5 a month. Sean has an excellent support staff that once you get the hang of how they operate, you can shave a lot of time off of getting help. They also have a very good Facebook group.

It's far from perfect, but after using it almost exclusively, I have developed work-around for most of its shortcomings. Be advised that it's a plugin/theme combination. Well worth the one-time $97 I paid, which I believe covers 25 sites and if I remember correctly, Sean once said on a webinar, if you need more - just ask. lol

He's a nutcase, but his heart is in the right place. If you join his 'Inner Circle' you'll find everything you need for your business under one roof.

      Cheers. - Frank

P.S. No - I am not an affiliate of this or any other product. I make my money the old-fashioned way. I earn it. :-)

EDIT: Obviously I meant two seconds to load. Not two minutes! lol

It is still working and the video plays for me on Chrome. It is easier to use than Thrive but Thrive has more customizability including drag/drop elements. So it just depends on what you find best for your method of working.

Gone through extensive detailed testing regarding OP, Thrive, InstaBuilder, LeadPages.

    Summary:

    1) OptimizePress 2 still most feature packed, modern and abundant in Conversation tools. I choose this for main sites. Best in customization. And still up to date with modern standards. Only draw back: Stone age cumbersome-productivity-diminishing klunkiness GUI!

To OP2 Team: Make the editing window full screen people. Complete idiocy making content editor 20% of screen size!!

    2) Thrive: Didn't find it that "special" as all hype on website. Found it too limiting for customization compared to OP2, despite it's speed being king. Thrive's only advantage is Speed of page building. As for conversation rate, features... all that is easily found in just about any modern WYSIWYG WP plugin/theme builder today. For example, you can't match Beaver Builder and dozens of it's options for extra content components offered by 3rd Party.

However, Thrive does win if you're webdesigner building for OTHER PEOPLE and wish to give them freedom to easily make future edits to the site.

But if you're building your own, no thanks. OP2 tons more options, despite it's non-nonsensical slow GUI design process.

    3) LeadPages: Frankly there's nothing here that Thrive/OP2 can't already do. Regarding it's high conversation templates, nothing new. Thrive/OP2 also have high conversation templates.

However LeadPages is ideal for website noobs. But also ideal for those building single page who's only purpose, above all else, is: Build Page ASAP That Guarantees Conversion!

Then again that last statement is also done with Thrive/OP2, but taking 3x longer. So LeadPages main advantage is speed of delivery of ready made conversation proven templates.

I thought Click Funnels looked cool in some ads. I even got an email from Robert Kiyosaki suggesting it. (It was a mass mailer not a personal invite...) But Starting out who can afford 300/month for the full program? If I had that laying around, I would be doing well without Internet Marketing LOL. I grabbed Instant Squeeze Page Generator. They host pages, provide the lead magnets/ethical bribes and monetize everything for you. The only thing I had to do was get an autoresponder. I also host my own domain but it is not necessary...

    Hey guys,

I did not even know about the other 2 tools mentioned in the thread. I have been using Lead Pages for the longest time now but if I can reduce my monthly cost for a one-time fee, I might as well switch tools.

I will check these 2 tools out.

    Thanks for the info.

Oh, wow! This is great news. PB is the only theme I use and I build full-blown websites with it. I know that's not really what it is designed for, but after using it for a few years I can build sites with my eyes closed.

I've even learned how to work-around the problems it has. lol

If you need a tool to create and manage sales funnels, get Clickfunnels, but if you need a tool to create Landing Pages get Instapage, it is by far the best-in-breed tool for landing page creation. No other Landing Page tool has the super slick pixel-precise drag-n-drop editor that can rival Instapage's editor. It's simply the best, especially if you are creating landing pages for a living.

Instapage is a hosted SaaS solution, so you can just signup and start creating beautiful landing pages in less than 5 minutes. While you don't need to purchase a domain, nor host you own website, you can purchase a domain name and use that, or publish your pages to your own website. It has built in integration for Wordpress (via plugin), Drupal, or HTML to your own website.

Like most LP tools, it has a nice collection of pre-built landing page templates, and unlike many of the other LP tools you can modify anything, and everything, on those pre-built templates.

You can create your own templates, use any of the included pre-built Landing Pages, or purchase professionally design templates built by some of the worlds best web page theme designers over on the Themeforest marketplace. You can even clone an existing webpage and instantly start editing it with their drag and drop pixel-precise editor, making your competitors' best landing page designs you own with just a few minutes to replace their content with your own.
