Does anyone have an opinion regarding SiteGround? How does it compare to GoDaddy or BlueHost regarding responsiveness and speed when hosting WP?

Siteground is an amazing web hosting provider. Their hosting platform is best for WordPress and gives you awesome customer support and 100% network up-time. You should definitely go with them.

SiteGround is very Solid. I use iPage and for $80 for Three years that's a steal. Plus they've been around since 1997 I believe. BlueHost is rated the best but they are on the pricer side.

I do not use the site monitoring, but if you have any issue you can chat with them via their live chat interface. Their support is amazing.

Is the security record at SiteGuard pretty good? Do they have a problem with having customer's sites getting hacked or SQL injections, or other crazy stuff or is that pretty rare with them?

Siteground has a solid security. The customer service is actually helpful as well as the tutorials. This is ideal for small business owners.

This will be a random recommendation, but goodhosting.org has been hands down the best I've used so far.

You only pay like $10 - 20 per quarter for a crazy good service.

It's a little ridiculous that it has that name yet NO ONE knows about it.

I see that Godaddy also has a dedicated hosting plan for WordPress sites. It's also good and worth to use.

Service and Support is the main concern of hosting industry. Most of branded Hosted company have their own infrastructure. But fact is that managed service and un-managed service.Shared service depends on hosting industry and dedicated service depends on technical requirements and contracts.

I been using Siteground from long time
    1) Good for Hosting a Website / Blog
    2) Provide better Inodes Number than other Hosting
    3) Pretty Secured System
    4) Support is Awsome for nearly all the issues
    5) Back Up service is also Good
    5) Bit If Get Stuck in something BAD may end up paying a Big Amount or correcting things (I had to pay once 50$ for a sily mistake but then I think that they way they get earning)
    6) They have a dedicated WordPress hosting solution too
    7) Uptime is Great
    8) Price is high compared to others but I suppose that the Cost you pay for getting much ease for most of the requirements

    Hope it helps

SiteGround is far superior compared to GoDaddy. And also better than Bluehost. Cannot comment on their WordPress specific hosting plans as I've only used their cPanel hosting which is fast and works great with WP as well.

I just went with flywheel from hostgator. thank goodness i didn't transfer any sites or anything but try to get them pointing to flywheel they dont use nameservers. I find their customer support unwilling to fix glitches in their user interface. i liked the salesmen but sure am tired of the merry go round of cs people.

I went to Siteground from bluehost and it's the best wordpress-related move I've ever made.

Uptime for me has been good, haven't really had the need to talk with the support but after paying for the hosting they contact you and ask if you need help with anything. Free ssl which was super easy to install. Cache plugin built in. Also limit login plugin that prevent bruteforce attacks built in. And speed seems fast.

    Strongly recommend it.

Indeed bluehost is a good wordpress hosting for beginners and intermediates alike.

But it's not the best. There are hidden fees, and migration of the site comes at a cost.
      Although the support is good.

Surprised to hear that any hosting companies are still charging for migrations.

Additionally most good hosting companies can give clients recommendations on keeping their sites secure...and with a few basic plugins it is very easy to keep your WordPress installation very secure from hacks etc.

That's their milking strategy. But its not bad if you are not that big enough, they provide a good service for smaller ones.

The one place you do not want to cheap out on is hosting. I've been using SiteGround for 2 years and have never had an issue with any of my sites, nor ever had to use their support. It's worth the extra cost to me.
