Should I Launch My Product ON the Same Platform...or?

Hi currently building a platform/community for a good cause

Currently, I want to launch a new product in 2020 offering tech skills/services to this platform

Should launch it using a new website TO the same community or offer it within the community under the same name?

If you own an email list, then launch with a new website, if not find where your dream customer is.

As long as the offer is within context of the current site, I would create a subdirectory ( yoursite.com/product ) and create a site within a site and then link across from the community portion.

The minute you start creating domains for specific items you are thinning your base, decreasing any SEO advantage and creating a waste of effort down the road. Think BRAND and consolidate your efforts ( website, Social, advertising, etc ) and your products.

You will simply be leveraging your sites trust with your existing audience, and displaying reasons for trust by having them there as new people come to examine your product. Its an overall win win.

It depends on how related it is and how active your community is? I think if your community is active enough you can use it as a springboard. I personally thinks that it would you should create a new website just to make the story cohesive
