IBP is a load of crap, one minute it advises you to something, then you make those changes, then you run it again and it asks you to change more things, the software can't make its mind up.

safer bet is KE 2.0

I know Jerry West says IBP is his fav piece of software, but he recommends both.

Other thing is on the Keyword Elite sales letter, there are so many dang testimonials I can't find a features list! If I buy, I'll read the manual after. IBP it is right there in the nav menu. I'm more impressed with the IBP website as far as finding information about the product.

Anyone else?

a website is not a judge of how good the software is. you could have the crappiest looking site and the best software.

Of course not, but the effectiveness of the site in delivering the information I require concisely and promptly will determine whether or not I ever install that software on my computer. KE's site doesn't do that, so I'm asking for opinions here instead.

But maybe I should ask the question in another way. "askloz" says IBP is a piece of crap, but hasn't given any reasons why Keyword Elite is better.

Has anyone here used both and chose Keyword Elite over IBP? I know IBP has a pretty good page about why you should choose them over KE (and a free trial too). But nothing like that seems to exist for why you should choose KE over IBP.

Simple solution to your problem - be consistent! Your username is askloz. I have signature blindness, common problem when you surf boards a lot. When I see a picture of a person with a name next to it I assume that's how they wish to be addressed. I believe the board admin can change your username, but I think he'll only change it to a real name, and not sure if that means first only or first and last. There is a thread on it somewhere if you search.

IBP is good for spying on your competition..

it gives out scores, make sure you rank high...

Anything above 85% is easy to rank once you put into google..

never had chance to use key elite yet..

I think Webceo is a great tool for tracking results. The reports are easily customizable and exported.

Seems like nobody likes IBP. I have a copy myself and don't like it myself. The stupid system isn't accurate with it's suggestions and can't make up it's mind even after you make the changes it suggest. Go with KE 2.0

Dunno about keyword elite 2 but I bought the first offering , had soo much hope in it. Ended up not using at all. For me the original product far out-hyped it's real abilities and were no better than that incorporated in the sitE build it ! system.

For me then Nichefinder was a far better system.

However that was a long time ago. Based on that experience not for me.

You don't own KE 2.0, which is a completely different product than 1.0 (which is not sold any longer and is very outdated)

Dude, head over to Keyword Elite University and watch the vids... trust me, KE works... I owe approx 100k a month to KE alone... Yup, it WORKS and works BIG TIME! BTW, I've been using it for 2 1/2 years now. It's just like a credit card / American Express, never leave home without it

When I looked at KE I *think* it was around the 2.0 beta and I decided to check out one of the first testimonials. I don't remember exactly, but there was a serious issue with it - not being found, not being registered, etc. I started thinking "if this person is making as much money as they claim why would they just let their paying site vanish?" Then shortly after I read about some concerns that some testimonials were fake. So that has been a big red flag about the product for me up till now.

But apart from that, I noticed KE is missing a link manager that IBP has. Does anyone use a 3rd party link manager that would fill in this gap that they could recommend?

Also, SEO elite is included with KE2. Any good words for it?

I've run the demo of IBP for a couple mornings and I don't *dislike* the product at all, but it isn't the brightest crayon in the box either. Still, Jerry West recommends it as his preferred tool so that adds some weight to it. Still searching.

Well folks,

I'm taking a very close, very long look at each of these programs. I've worked with the demo's of IBP, SEO Powersuite, and WebCEO so far. Each day I call them up and see what I like and don't like as I work with them a bit. Hopefully I can formulate a response for everyone.

A couple questions for anyone that can answer, Brad or Loz maybe. I see that Key Elite is shipping with SEO elite right now as a bonus. I tried the demo of SEO Elite but couldn't get it working. I just want to confirm that the current version is working (not concerned about the demo) and that the loss of functionality is not the result of some algo or API change.

Also, Thanksgiving coming up....anyone aware of any deals on SEO or Keyword software??

Hey Plinko, SEO Elite "had" a trial version about 3 years ago for about a 2 month period. After that, we discontinued a trial for SEO Elite. I'm assuming you probably ran across an old trial version at some point. Lots has changed with SEO Elite since 3 years ago. The current version of SEO Elite works well. I just used it today to "spy" on a couple of competitors :-)

I'm using KE2 everyday. It's way superior to version 1 and the KE Elite University kicks ass . Especially the case studies from other users are interesting and fun to watch.

WIth IBP I have only limited experiences. I have mainly used some onpage optimization reports of IBP. However, I don't think you can compare IBP with KE2.

Well, in my opinion IBP will be good choice as some of my friends already using IBP and that is quite good comparing any other tool like seoelite or any other.
