Wordpress Direct..Market Samurai..Worth it?

Im doing this 30DC thing and im on day 9. Just wanted any of your thoughts about these two programs. Seem you get a bronse membership with WP Direct and I saw they take 50% commision plus a monthly fee with 10 websites aloud. Im not sure what the price on Samurai is but are they worth the bother?

You know, I tried WP direct and while it is an okay product to me, and, they do make setting up a WP blog on your own domain easy, I have found that I was already doing half or more of the things that they have in their product. So, I cancelled my subscription to them. If you are not too tech savvy and don't want to deal with uploading stuff to your hosting account often, and you don't mind the monthly fee, then WP direct is not a bad product.

Now on to market samurai...Buy this product today. It is the most comprehensive internet marketing tool that I have ever seen. I have been using it since its beta testing and still I am not using all of its functions. I am not sure if they have gone to a subscription format or not. But even if they have and you are a serious marketer, you won't be disappointed.

If you have an Iphone or Ipod then go to itunes and download all the challenge videos on to it and follow along as you use the products and build your sites and backlinks.

But as for wp direct, if you already have a hosting account somewhere, you might just be doubling your expenses at this point.

        Wordpress Direct - NO.
It is overpriced and not as flexibile as hosted Wordpress. Wordpress is pretty easy once you get the hang of it, so I can't see why you would pay the big bucks for WP direct.

        Market Samurai - priceless!

If you are savvy, I don't think you need WP Direct. They charge too much for it, and you can set it all up yourself. If you are not savvy though, and you have the money, it's worth it.

Market Samurai is a definite must..I have been using it for over 6 months and it's brilliant.......you wont be disappointed...trust me.....no other program comes close to what it offers in terms of keyword research, so go for it!

I'm always amazed when I see companies charging a substantial amount of money to perform tasks that are relatively simple. But as you mentioned, if it's going to save a newbie a lot of time and headaches, they might be able to justify the cost.

I agree with most folks here. WP Direct is an added expense, i have used it as well.

Market Samurai is SPECTACULAR. It is worth every dime. Don't hesitate on this one. Buy it...buy it now. The information you get is second to none and will save you from wasting time and money on unprofitable keywords and niches.

Another vote for Market Samurai. Also note that (unless things have changed very recently), MS does not have an affiliate program. So, everyone you see who raves about it isn't getting any sort of kickback for their recommendation.

    Hi justinsane,

I came into internet marketing from the 30DC, and would have to agree with what the other posters have said here:

    Market Samurai - YES
    WPDirect - NO thanks

WPDirect is fine if it's just for one site (which is free) and you've just started out and don't know how to use Wordpress. But quickly it is inevitable that there are things you want control of, and want to change. WPDirect is just an interface between you and your Wordpress admin page. If you are using WPDirect, but have never logged in directly to Wordpress then do it straight away: go to yoursite.com/wp-admin and have a look. Wordpress is easy to use and an awesome platform, so it quickly becomes clear that there's probably no need for a newbie to rely on WPDirect. The WPDirect paid services are not cheap, but I've read reviews from more experienced internet marketers saying it is worth it just to set up multiple sites quickly with all the plugins ready to go. Personally I think that it is better to learn how to do things manually the first time out. At least that way you know what the job entails when it comes to the time that you're ready to automate some tasks.

But I think you've already found the best internet marketing secret (and one you'll probably never get from the thirty day challenge...):

    The Warriorforum!!

Firepow kills wordpress direct. I was very dissapointed in the lack of control in directs control panel. In firepow you have so much more it does for you including blending of automatic content from article directorys and youtube and blogs and yahoo answers. It can be used like a auto blogging system or import your own templates and make and authority site. Market samuria is always worth it. You must have some keyword help and MS is a great one.

I've tried WPD and have to say that if you take a grand total of 20 minutes to read things over, you can install and configure it in an hour at most and be that much richer. WPD is not worth it in my book and Market Samurai most DEFINITELY is!

Just reading the comments above has been very helpful. I have ben very tempted recently by WP Direct but was put off by the expense that I would have to pay out. I also agree that you can probably do most of the things WP Direct offers yourself if you have a bit of compute svvy.

I will now look at Market Samurai as people seem to be raving about it.

Market Samurai gets more use from me then any other product I have reviewed which is why I strongly recommend it. You can try the Market Samurai free for 40 days so go ahead and see for yourself how powerful Market Samurai really is.

Market Samurai and Firepow is all i need. Remember that is you purchase within 7 days of your MS free trial, you get a discount for it. It was $97 a couple of months ago and it's worth every cent if you can get it around that price now, maybe even underpriced. As for FP, there a $1 trial to see if it suits you. It might be a monthly subscription but it's my personal favorite and couldn't live without it now.

Wow...thx for all the advice I really do love this forum all you guys are awsome and you save me a crap load of time.

So the crowd is all leaning with a a big YES for MS and a big MEH for WPD. Im gona try this Firepow program out and see what its like. The WPD software claims to SEO your site automaticly. What does Firepow do? Why is it so much better?

Also with the 30DC they offer a trial of traffic bug. Is there a better traffic type software service better? Or is it really worth the bother?

if you do a search here you'll find a thread dedicated to traffic bug. Basically, its not worth it. I wouldn't bother, but I do believe there is a 30 day trial, so give it a go and see how/ if you like it.

I am currently using both WPDirect and Market Samurai. WPDirect serves the purpose of auto populating the content on your blogs, but it is very expensive and I have learned from this thread that there are other options that do similar, or the same thing as WP Direct.

I completely agree that Market Samurai is amazing and well worth the cost. I recently purchased it through a deal with Commission Blueprint 2.0, and to my knowledge it was a one time purchase rather than a subscription.

In my opinion, if there are good products out there that do the same thing as WP Direct (which in my opinion the value in that is in the auto posting to your blogs to keep your content looking fresh) such as those being mentioned in this thread, I would try them out. WP Direct is very expensive, and you have to do all the setup yourself if you want to monitor and control what types of things hit your blogs.

Okay i have to give my 2 cents on this wpdirect and firepow contraversy. I use wpdirect as a result of going through the 30dc because i wanted see what new marketing techniques Ed Dale was using this year. I did signup for wpdirect and think its a fantastic service. I checked out firepow and all this guy did was really recycle wpdirect - but its missing a lot of the features that wpdirect has including about 4 content distributors.

The interface in firepow is so similar to wpdirect, that i get the feeling this guy used to be a wpdirect member and seems to have taken far too many ideas from wpdirect. I think wpdirect is the cream of the crop when it comes to blog marketing and niche marketing.

Look again at the price folks.. $100 for an account at wpdirect and $127 a month for an account over at firepow for the same type of account. I am not promoting wpdirect and not here to make any money off of them. I'm a veteran seo and have been in the business for 15 years, and using wpdirect and market samurai equate to using two excellent tools together that you can have great success with.

Here's the Traffic Bug review thread

I find social bookmarking especially useful for getting pages indexed quickly. You can also pick up a few backlinks and some referral traffic too. Others have very elaborate social marketing strategies. There's good information here on one of the forum's excellent allinone threads:

      http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...Tcpaac8FLOZATK

There's also a big Market Samurai thread

One thing to be careful of on Market Samurai is the keyword 24 hour search totals seem to way off. When comparing this to Wordtracker (these guys have been tracking keywords for ages and have a unique way of doing it through the metecrawlers) I find Wordtracker is far more accurate in actual potential traffic than MS is.

All the other tools are within MS are fantastic though. Just don't get overly excited when you find a niche keyword in MS that reads 1000 hits per day and then later find its only getting about 150. I would highly suggest more than one tool to do your keyword research.

Yes firepow has content adding features 12 of them and can take one and blend it with another feed to make it unique. Yes it seo's blogs, gives you social bookmarking toolsa and you can access inside wordpress itself to adjust your blog through wordpress and the firepow dashboard. And unlike wpdirect its unlimited blogs you can add. If you want to build 1000 of them you can. WPdirects limits on how many hurt it and you cannot access wordpress through their system. Love Firepow, had both, WP direct is not close.

OK, Here's my 2 cents! I have KE (keyword elite) Traffic Travis and the trail of MS...

The truth is that these tools are good... it always ends up, that none of then are very accurate...

The point being... all the research I have done with the tools listed above, are most of the time inaccurate.

Because they all pull from different databases. Most pull from google. But if you plug in a keyword to one of the tools listed above, and then, go to google or the search engine of your choice, you will find a total different story.

The point is, that each of the tools above has its own sweet spot! You just need to find it and go with it!

    Thanks
    Steven

Like everyone else I have to say that Market Samurai is hands down 1 of the most valuable tools available. Now with that being said, in the "Publish Content" tab there is a place to work directly with wp direct.

There is a free version and if I can publish directly from M S after finding or creating content without uploading anything, that sounds like it might be worth it.

If anyone is having success with the free version please let us know.

  • If you're looking for the Cadillac in keyword research, Market Samurai is it. I don't know what the cost is today because I bought it right after they came out. It is worth every penny you'll pay for it. I can absolutely guarantee that. It takes all the guess work out of doing keyword research with incredible training videos.

It's currently selling for $149 - although you can access a discounted price ($97) if you sign up for a trial.

$97 is the steepest discount we have available - but I'm ok if people want to pay full price
